Had the pleasure of eating here last night since it's getting a little chillier in north county. We recently moved to the area and have been trying to find good restaurants that live up to my foodie nature. Pho House did not disappoint. We got an order of egg rolls and both my husband and I got the large House Pho. The egg rolls were solid, a smidge over priced, but still really good. Now on to the main event, the Pho. I always judge a beautiful bowl of pho on its broth, and this one had wonderful notes of flavor while not being overly oily. It tasted much cleaner than some broths and I appreciate that. Next we have the meat, which I always do rare steak. I love how it was piled right in the middle so I could pick it apart and Let it cook to my done ness. It was so tender and plentiful compared to many other cheaper places that just pile on previously frozen pieces that you see at cheap Mongolian BBQ Spots. My only negative was that I wanted more tripe, tendon and noodles, particularly since it was a large pho. Normally I'd dock a star for that but the quality of the food and the quantity of rare steak made up for it. I can't wait to continue patronizing this Pho location, especially this Fall and Winter. read more

This place is great they have super authentic pho, and it's my favorite place is north county that I've found. The oxtail pho and the short rib pho are so good! Takes the usual rare beef pho to a next level that it needs, definitely try one them out if your feeling like some delicious comfort food. read more

This place has delicious food! Probably one of the best Vietnamese restaurants that I've been to. I ordered the Bun (cold noodle vermicelli) with egg rolls and grilled pork. It was excellent! Egg rolls crispy with a very tasty filling, pork was tender and delicious. Not at all fatty. One friend ordered the stir-fried noodles seafood combo. It was a large portion and she really enjoyed it. Another friend had the vegetable salad with tofu. She said it was delicious. Service is great, we were well attended to. Prices seem a little high, but all restaurant prices seem a little high these days. I can't wait to go back and try their pho. Too hot for pho today. So happy that a friend of mine told me about this place. Can't wait to return and try something else on their menu! read more

Ordered extra noodles for my daughter, they brought it out in the wrong pho broth, as I explained to them the situation, I kept trying to figure out what was hard to understand, so I asked, do you understand, then a short insecure guy at the table next to us flipped out and then said, "yeah we speak English here!!" in the rudest way possible. Another guy came out with the wrong noodles again, and the same conversation ensued, so we walked out without our noodles. Awful service, rude, insecure people. read more

Love this Pho restaurant. Broth is great and my kids love it. We live in San Marcos and will make the 20minute drive just to eat here. Raymond is always attentive and greets our kids which they love. The filet mignon pho is a must and we also enjoy their bbq chicken and rice. read more

A hidden gem located in a plaza at Emerald and Hacienda. Great food, very reasonably priced and clean, calming atmosphere. Friendly service and very nice staff. The pho is always exceptional, and I had the Lemon Grass Chicken today. Very good flavor, and a lot of it. Everything made from scratch. The homade chili sauce seems to go well with everything. Called over the phone to place an order for pho to go on my way to pho house and I was about 5 min away. Came in and to my surprise the food was already ready. Didn't think much of it because they have bulk orders everyday so headed home which was 3 min away. Sat down to eat immediately and the soup was warm - closer to the colder side (I've ordered at other pho places that were farther and the soup was still hot). I was super impressed with this place. The owner is SUPER hospitable. I felt like I was in him and his wife's home and they were healing me through both their kind, compassionate way of being... and their well plated, chicken delicious broken rice plate. I also got a pork spring roll and it was super special. They put some extra aromatic herbs that other places do not--it really adds a nice extra couple layers to the flavor profile... and unlike many places where I try the spring roll and it's same ole' same ole'... I will be getting this one again! Even up until the very end with packing my food up (at my table) and handing it to me, I felt cared for. It completely made my day (which was not a good day). We originally tried the Oceanside location and loved it. We then found out there was a location in vista just down the street from us. This location is just as good and the only Vietnamese restaurant that has good service lol. The waiter was constantly refilling our water and checking in on us. My boyfriend LOVES the beef salad. It's a marinated beef over a bed of salad and herbs. Their house made vinaigrette they pair it with is just perfect. He loves it so much it's prob in his top 3 favorite dishes of all time. Their pho always tastes fresh and refreshing. Love that they give lettuce with the egg rolls to wrap it in before dipping into the sweet fish sauce, like how we do in Vietnam. Recently tried Yummy Pho in Oceanside to try something new and honestly can't see myself cheating on pho house again. That meal was awful. read more

BEST PHO IVE EVERRRRR HADDD ! Driving up north and my baby was crying like crazy so we stopped at a random parking lot and I saw the big PHO HOUSE sign. Saw the reviews and everyone said it was the best so I HAD to see if it was true and im SO MAD because it is true. It's the best pho I've ever had but its 50 minutes away from home! So now im gonna have to drive up everytime I ordered the house special pho. Broth was so smooth and flavorful. The meat was great quality. The perfect amount of noodles. Didn't need to add anything at all. They also have a variety of different pho like oxtail!! They had rice dishes and everything too. I got the eggrolls and they were fire with the fish sauce. We love this spot, we come every Sunday after disc golf. Usually a group of 4-6 and they're always able to accommodate. The location is convenient and the restaurant has a nice ambiance and is clean. Owners/service is wonderful. They greet us immediately and check in on the table regularly. Coffees are good and the young coconut drink. Found a new place !!! Service was pretty awesome and friendly , the lady greeted us with a big smile and she treated us kindly the entire time we were there, making sure we're doing okay . So are the male workers , very nice people. Interior very comfy , and clean . Food was delicious , we ordered too much on our first time but it was worth it , we're very picky eaters but everything we ordered were to our liking . Been to mostly all the pho place near the area but first time I've had beef stew that was perfectly made , at other places the broth was either too oily or it just taste weird but today I was able to eat the whole broth without wasting .
