The flavor was delicious but it only had 1 piece of pork chop where I've been to other Vietnamese restaurants and they always have two pork chops per serving. I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy. I'm guessing there were 3 other occupied tables. The restaurant is quite large and can accommodate a lot of people. I had a young coconut juice and the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken and egg rolls. I wasn't too impressed with the bowl, as there was way too much bean sprouts under the noodles. More noodles and less bean sprouts would have been ideal. Also, the chicken didn't have very much flavor. For a second I thought that it was sliced rotisserie chicken, because that's what it tastes like. I was expecting marinated chicken with lots flavor to it. The service was okay. Like I said in my previous review the broth is super flavorful and amazing and this is definitely my go to pho spot in Glendale. Surprisingly that this spots Thai tea is really good. My parents and I chose to eat here last month after striking out on our first choice which was one of the other choices in Glendale. I found it extremely odd once all three of us were seated and looking at the menu. It sure did not look to me that Pho Hut wasn't the original occupants. My father ordered P1 (Pho Dac Biet) while my mom and I split on P2 (Pho Chin, Nam, Gan, Sach). Good tasting Pho, but that was about it. It cost a lot more than the Vietnamese Pho restaurants located out in the San Fernando Valley. There was one thing that we experienced that ticked me off. One of the owners asked if we could pay the bill as they needed to close the cash register. This was right about when they were closing for the night. So we obliged. Pho hut isn't the best pho place, but will do in a pinch. The prices are fair, but know that the broth is a bit on the lackluster side. The portion size is good and we have had good takeout experiences with Pho Hut when we don't want to make a long drive to get pho. read more

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS OR THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU! I work in the building right next door and called ahead to grab some lunch to go on my break. They said it would be ready in 15 min so I walk over 15 min later to go pick it up. When I get there I tell them that I ordered over the phone, they didn't ask for my name or number when I placed the phone order btw, and he said it would be ready in 10 min. I'm standing there in confusion like ??? I mentioned, "even when I placed the order over the phone? (because you said it would be 15 min)" and the server just said "yes", didn't bother to charge me and pretty much left me standing there while i'm trying to figure out why he couldn't have just told me that it would be 25 min over the phone and contemplating writing a poor review. I'm standing there for about 5 min when he finally charges me and luckily my food came out just as he handed me the receipt. I sign, leave a tip, and hurry back to work since I only have a 1/2 hr after all, glad that I don't have to write the review after all. As I'm eating I realize they didn't put in a little baggy filled with bean sprouts, basil, and lime like most pho places do for to go (I worked in a Vietnamese restaurant for 2 yrs myself so i'm pretty well-versed in the ins-and-outs of packing pho to go lol) but I wasn't too phased since I only use the limes anyway and at least they put in the oyster and sriracha sauce. It was a little busy since it was lunchtime and I really do try to put myself in the server's position most of the time so I let it slide. The thing that led me to writing this review was that while I was taking everything outside of the to-go bag at work (they double bag it so that's a plus), I happened to come across the receipt. I checked the menu online first and they said it was $9.50 for a regular sized pho and an additional $0.50 if you want it to-go. The subtotal would then be $10 not including tax, but on the receipt my subtotal was $10.75. Honestly I know it's only $0.75 but I just want to know where the price difference came from since the subtotal should've been $10 unless they need to update their online menu, they charged me for a large when I clearly stated I wanted a regular size not a large (L $10.75) and if they did charge me a large then I definitely got gypped because this is not a large size pho at all lol. All in all, I should've checked the receipt when I was there but I was in a rush to get back to work and it was only $0.75 which I can find at the bottom of my purse, but I did tip based on the that higher subtotal price so I just feel a little bit swindled lmao just make sure to check your receipts haha food was just okay too btw read more

This place is literally a whole in the wall. It can be easily missed if you aren't paying attention. It has a very busy following, especially at lunch time (11:30am-1:30pm). I recommend calling in your order ahead of time to beat the crowd. The gentlemen behind the counter are always very helpful and kind. I love their spring rolls and tofu Vermicelli. Their pork Bahn Mi is always on point. Their smoothies are a little too sweet for my liking and aren't made with real fruit, just powder. They do accept credit card which is a major plus. Meter parking is available in the back of the building, which is your best bet considering the front parking is almost impossible to find in Glendale. P.S. VERY LARGE SERVINGS. Yay! read more

I have been coming to this place for years with my husband and sister we love the food. They know how I like it and what I like too. They are very clean and fast as well... the owner Andy is Amazing friendly, kind and very helpful... I seriously recommend this place to everyone who wants more than just a bowl of soup they got great sandwiches and amazing flavors of soups. Everything is nicely prepared very fresh. One of my favorite is the Pho Hut Special I always order extra tendons and tripe... yummy I love it also I really like the vegetarian pho is delicious with all the veggies and no fat or oils on the soup. The smoothies are also good and the ice coffee as well. But don't forget this time now every good restaurant has issues with the menu not everything on them is being prepared. I'm a big Pho lover and live locally to this restaurant. I was given dirty dishes, which were replaced with a cleaner set. I was given a coke for condolence measures (I was never asked which accommodation I would like) and continued to order. Upon receiving my food there was a bug in my pho and I decided not to finish my meal here. I know in most circumstances a negative yelp can make or break a business. I don't intend to break the business but only to change the narrative. I hope in the future that these issues be resolved. Just tried this place for the first time. Ordered 2 pork banh mi sandwiches, egg rolls n pork spring rolls. The egg rolls were good. The spring rolls n sandwiches were absolute garbage. The reason? The pork was total fat and gristle. We trashed an entire unwrapped sandwich and most of the first one. How can they serve such low quality meat? It was inedible. Pho is okay, not the best but not the worst. They charge $0.50 for onions, unlike other pho places where its free. About $8 you can get a regular size pho which is abundant. Its not bad for a pho glendale. I got the #3 pho without tripe, and #3 appetizer which is the egg rolls. They were good. Except my pho had barely any meat. The egg rolls come with lettuce and the dip sauce. It tastes like those eggrolls where you buy at the stores. $5+ for 4 eggrolls. Not worth it. The service was okay. I have been here a couple times. The food is surprisingly bland, and the ingredients are cheap. For example, the beef on rice is the same beef cut they use in the pho soup. The charbroiled beef turned out like pan fried roast beef slices. I was horribly disappointed. The rice is decent but it isn't the broken rice. The rice is more like the type of rice you'd see in a sushi roll. There was a hair in my salad. For $10, I'd rather starve and save my money. The service is quick, but the quality of food is just terrible. I don't think I'll be back here. The flavor of the pho is good, but I found myself having to cut out the fatty pieces from the beef flank. By the end of my meal I had a small bowl of fatty meat. Best pho in Glendale! I eat here every 2 weeks and get the beef pho regular size (plenty). It's my go-to meal that I never get tired of. The family that owns this place is very nice and will tell you their favorite items if you ask them.
