I would say tonight wasn't a good night in the beginning due to the fact that we ordered through ubereats after a long a day from work, and nonetheless when it was delivered my pho is missing its noodles & meat. I was very devastated and disappointed at first, I reached out on their store phone then had the thought to message the store via yelp. It did worked! The owner responded right away even tho he wasnt at the store, I told him what had happened, He understands why i was disappointed. We didnt touched the food the arrived via ubereats, Hence i insisted that we can return the food in exchange for the missing item.Unfortunately the food that was delivered is already cold, Moving forward even if that they do not do delivery he replaced our whole order & made it happen to deliver the food. I wanted to thank the owner for taking care of what had happened, and his employee Bryan that reached out to me through the store phone to apologize & made sure that it well be taken care of. I actually think the spring rolls here are really good because they're fat and have both shrimp and meat inside. Kinda pricey at $6.50 though. This review is mainly on their vermicelli and the service. My boyfriend got the pork vermicelli and I got beef vermicelli. When we stepped in, my boyfriend tried to get the attention of the front desk lady for like 3 Min. He said "helloooo" like 5 times until a different worker made her pay attention to us. The vermicelli is tasty! The fish sauce isn't too fishy, one of the better sauces I've had. BUT really lacking in meat portion-wise. They stick in a lot of noodles to compensate but comparing the amount of meat to other pho places, you can tell they're being cheap. The meat of the pork is seasoned well but the beef was a little chewy. I ordered the chicken pho and pork egg rolls and both came out within five minutes being ordered which I thought was great since I was short on time and tasted they delicious. The waiters, although quick in service, made no attempt to greet my mom and I and were very serious... a little too serious for my taste. My favorite pho place in LA. I'm from the Bay so I'm used to getting cheap, authentic pho easily, but I live in West LA and I haven't found any great places yet. I came here for an early 5pm dinner on a Monday. There were very few patrons so I did not have to wait in line and service was great! I got their #2 pho (has everything). The broth is clear and flavorful. It's not oily and they give a decent amount of toppings. I'd recommend spending that extra $1 for a large. Okay, my friend wanted noddles I said why not; how could a company continue to go in the wrong direction. Fried egg rolls were just warm, with only lettuce as a garnish. The habitual dalliance I had going on with my phone was maddening. I realized, at some point I had to say enough with the check-ins, and take things a step further. After all, my allegiance to the place had reached lunch visitations every other day. A pork banh mi here, and a bowl of rare beef brisket pho there; it was simply a matter of time before I had to shout it off the rooftops, "I LOVE PHO HUT!" You see, I work in Glendale, and I'm pretty much handcuffed to the dining options the city allows me for lunch. I don't have much more than an hour to spend my lunchtime. Take into consideration the hours leading up to my lunch, where I'm wondering where i'm going to go, and you could imagine having a few "last second" go-to places in mind really comes in handy. Pho Hut keeps their menu very limited. If you grab a to-go menu, you'll find a folded paper with their standard, no frill options for pho on one side, and everything else on the other. Typically, I go for their shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer. And, you know what? If I'm lunching it up with someone, I'm always sharing it; but I tend to forget they give you an odd amount (three), and there's always that awkward "Who's going to get that third spring roll?" moment that occurs. For the New Year, I'm going to be the better man and defer. I'll be honest with you; as much as I can eat their banh mi sandwiches every day -- even their beef sandwiches stand out -- and as inviting a bowl of pho can be on even a semi-cold southern California night, I really can not resist their bun. I opt for the numero dos option, which comes with shrimp, pork, and portioned off egg rolls. (Great for eating a small peace within the portion of a bite.) Keep in mind that their prices are a slight bit higher than the consistently cheaper, across the board, prices for the same meals you get in San Gabriel and Alhambra. But, really, if you're not living anywhere near there, you make up that difference by not having to drive that far. And so, it's true, I really do love this place. But I have to be fair and factor in that if this place was located in nearby San Gabriel (where there's no dearth of Vietnamese dining options) it would simply hang with the big boys. But here in Glendale, when I'm able to get my much needed respite from work, I'm elated that I can walk a couple of blocks -- phone in hand as I ready myself to check-in -- and know that I'm going to get a great meal at a decent price, each time. - Will read more

The pho is definitely not bad! You can taste it by the light broth that they don't use MSG like the other reviews said. I eat a lot for a girl so I ordered a large pho like always and it was a very big large. I normally finish large pho in other places but I couldn't here even though I came in hungry. There were decent amount of meat in it and lots of noodles! We also ordered shrimp and pork spring rolls which looked very scrumptious and packed but when I bit in to it I realized there weren't any vermicelli noodles in it. That was my first time eating fresh spring rolls without vermicelli in it, but instead had packed shredded lettuce. Either way, it still tasted good. this place is awesome because a) it's in glendale, b) it has decent pho, and c) prices are reasonable (around $7/bowl). and they're large bowls with plenty of noodles, broth, and meat. the broth is flavorful even without the addition of any condiments -- i always like to taste it in its unadulterated state, then i pile on the sprouts, sliced jalapeno, and large concentric rings of hoisin and sriracha. mmm. my favorite meat here is the brisket. i've also tried the rare steak and flank. they also offer banh mi (decent but i don't really like the buttery flavor in the bread) and various other rice/noodle dishes, but i always get the pho. their boba here is good too. parking can be kind of sucky because the meters out front run til 10 pm every day, but there are meters around the corner that stop running earlier, and some unmetered spots a couple of blocks away as well. read more

I have been dreaming about Pho in Glendale for ages...where can I go to fulfill that inward craving of salty broth and cilantro? After having a hard week of cravings and my world flipping upside down, I called my favorite neighbor and asked her to meet me for some Pho at Pho Hut. We walked in and were greeted immediately with the biggest smile. What a change, to walk into a Pho restaurant and they really really really want you there. We were seated and ordered in minutes. The staff was super uber polite and friendly. I adored the service. You can order it in two sizes, my date went regular and I went large. Big mistake, I couldn't put it down. Sad.... If you're looking for pho in Glendale, I think Pho Hut is all you got. It's good considering that there are no other real pho places (at least, none I know of) in that area, but compared to the stuff you can get in Alhambra/Monterey Park/San Gabriel and the stuff you can get in Little Saigon down by Westminster, you got no comparison. The spring rolls here are tasteless. Just a lot of vermicelli, not a lot of anything else. Avoid them. The pho is decent. Whenever I go to a pho place, I get the bowl with everything in it. Tripe, tendons...I want it all! Pho Hut has that, but they don't give you enough of it. When I expected huge chunks of tendon and piles of tripe, instead I got tiny slivers of tripe and a slice of tendon. Every time we come to eat he treats us like customers should be treated. This is why I favor this place over any other. Um. I understand Asian restaurants having poor service, but this was really bad. A family of cockroaches might have delivered our food faster, though I probably wouldn't eat it in that case... I came here on a Friday night around 8:30PM, and it was not busy. My boyfriend and I were seated promptly, but it took about 10 minutes to get menus before I finally got a hold of the waiter to give us menus. He ignored us a few times... We had to grab another waiter's attention by the time we wanted to order our food. I don't know if the waiters just didn't like us or what? We're both Asian, and hell, my boyfriend is Vietnamese! What's up with that? Our food came about 30 minutes later, and the spring rolls we ordered as the appetizer came AFTER our pho. What the hell? My boyfriend had asked about the spring rolls twice, and the first time he went to grab the waiter, he said all the waiters were just standing around and joking, acting as if they had nothing to do. Could be worse, they could be playing video games? Chatting on cell phones? Anyway... The food was okay. Maybe their food is just okay, and they wanted us to starve first so the pho would seem to taste better, since everything tastes good when your stomach is digesting itself... I don't know that I would come back to Pho Hut. I've been to many pho places and the service is not this horrible. In fact, if it's a cold night and I want hot soup, I'd rather go get soondubu, where, even if the waiters don't ask you if you want water, at least you get your food and utensils relatively quickly. read more

This is my Pho spot. The food is delicious here! Since I don't eat beef, the Chicken Pho is my dish of choice but friends and family who've had the steak and flank Pho say it's quite yummy. The vegetarian spring rolls are awesomeee. So scrumptious with that peanut sauce :) Their Taro boba is good too. Flavorful and not the least bit chalky. I took a star off because the service is pretty bad almost humorously so though. Servers can hardly speak english and pretty much leave you alone only to occasionally refill water and give you the bill. but apart from that they've always gotten my phone orders correct and the food is so good that I don't really mind the subpar service. read more

I find it really ridiculous that people are rating other pho places better because they offer "real chopsticks"... yes... because we eat the chopsticks.. not the food. smh. I prefer the wooden ones anyway.. who can eat noodles with those plastic slippery chopsticks. Back to the food... Pho hut is my go-to place when it's cold, when i'm craving good soup, on a rainy day, and pretty much any other day where I can find someone to have some yummy soup with. Really wanted to have a good experience here, but no such luck. After we sat down, we didn't have any service for 15 minutes. The food did come out quickly, but we had no chopsticks (had to ask for that), our waters weren't brought to us (had to ask 3 times), no one checked in to see if we wanted more water (had to ask), once we were done we had to go to the front to ask for the check. To top it off the broth in the pho was just alright. Not sure if they were understaffed? But I heard from each table around us following up regarding their orders, utensils, etc. just like we did. It is definitely pricier than if you went to a pho place in Westminster but hey, we're in Glendale, not one of the Viet-towns. Seeing the Glendale isn't exactly the mecca for pho, I decided to check this place out after it being recommended by Mr. William S. Finally had a chance to swing by for some take-out, and ordered a small #2. Although you're paying extra for take-out, the pho is packaged very nicely and securely, which is worth mentioning, seeing that transporting soup in your car can become a disaster. The pho was also brought out ridiculously quick, seeing that I didn't even call it in ahead of time. The "regular" sized bowl was actually quite filling, especially due to it being full of brisket, flank, and tendon, and tripe. Definitely a tasty bowl of pho, much better than any other pho I've had in the area. While it's much more than I would like to pay for an average small bowl of pho, this is as good as it's gonna get within a five-mile radius. read more

Met a buddy of mine for dinner at Pho Hut and enjoyed my experience. It was a Tuesday night so the place was pretty empty which was great as we were planning out an upcoming trip and didn't really want a lot of loud people around. Tables are a little close together so had it been busy, this would not have been ideal. The restaurant itself has rather serene decor, and obviously they expanded as the dining room is actually two dining rooms with a wall that has some windows looking into the other room. Staff was attentive and answered our questions but didn't really suggest anything. It was my first time at a Vitanemese restaurant so I had a number of questions, and my buddy hadn't been to Pho Hut before and asked some questions. Food came out surprisingly fast. I had already eaten so I ordered the beef spring rolls, my buddy got pho. We were both impressed with our food and though our focus wasn't quite on the food but more on the planning, it did distract us multiple times and we kept making comments about how much we enjoyed what we ordered. As soon as I told the man I placed a phone order, in a not very nice tone, informed me that it was half an hour. Okay. So I waited. I can't believe that this place has an overall rating of only 3-stars. I love this place! It's the only good "Pho" restaurant in all of Downtown Glendale. I always order the "#1" large bowl of Pho because it has everything that the other ones don't have. When I don't feel like Pho, I order two Vietnamese sandwiches (because one isn't enough) or the vermicelli #1. I've been reading some reviews that said that the Pho is bland. Hello~~ Served as-is, of course it's bland! This is not an American restaurant where the soup as-is is already flavorful. You add that yourself. That's why there is the "hoisin" sauce and "rooster" sauce on the table. Put both of that in your soup, squeeze some lime into it, then add basil, green peppers, bean sprouts, and cilantro, stir it, and then eat it. Drink the soup with that spoon they give as you eat the noodles, the meat, and the herbs. That's the 'proper' way of eating Pho. It should taste a bit spicy, sour, sweet, minty, and salty. You will find that it is surprisingly fragrant, tasty, and flavorful once you add all those ingredients that you get on that plate of herbs given to you before you get your bowl of Pho. Spring rolls. Proper way of eating that is by dipping the roll into a bowl or small dish of Hoisin sauce. If you like it spicy, add the rooster sauce and mix it up. You've got to try out the Vietnamese bean dessert. It might be a bit strange to see beans as a sort of dessert but believe it or not, beans is a very commonly used ingredient for all sorts of sweet desserts in East and Southeastern Asian countries. I love that stuff. Be sure to mix it up real good with the coconut milk. Great for the summer time! All in all, come here for your Pho fix, if you're in Glendale. Seriously, there's no place else in Glendale that serves better Pho. read more

Pho-U! Liked my veggie pho, except for the tofu and I don't think that I've ever complained about tofu before. It didn't taste fresh, and just did not have a good texture. I ate around it tho cause everything else in there (shrooms, carrots, and broccoli) was great. Pops originally ordered the press coffee that's shown in the picture on the menu. The waiter asked if he had ever had it before, pops hadn't, the guy then asked if he wanted hot coffee, pops did, so the waiter then told him to get the regular coffee cause the press one ends up not being hot by ther time it's ready to drink. I thought that was super nice, and good service. Pops is one of those that likes strong and not too sweet coffee. I noticed that he wasn't really drinking it. I said myself 'this must me good stuff then!' I took one sip and was in heaven. The best coffee I've ever had... really!
