This was our first time here and we will not return! It took over 15 minutes to bring less than half our orders...our appetizers never arrived, so we asked for them to be put in a box to go, since all of our main course meals arrived before any mention of our appetizers. We had to ask several times for a refill on our drinks! A side of rice was requested and took almost 25 minutes before coming to our table with our child's plate ordered first! I had tofu spring rolls here and the spring rolls were tough to bite into believe it or not, and the tofu had no flavor. I asked for a tofu salad and it was more like a tofu soup, again with no flavor. I love tofu but not from here. Service was just okay, not good but just okay. read more

I ordered their N4 - Phô w/beef & vermicelli. The waiter asked me if I was sure, but I could not understand what he was asking (his accent was very heavy). So I pointed to what I wanted in the menu. The menu item was the same kind of dish I've ordered many many times at many other Vietnamese restaurants. The soup he brought out had BLOOD chunks in it (which I had never seen before). I asked him what it was & then told him I could not eat it. He then got angry, but again I could not understand what he was saying. Not a very good broth, seems to be bland and there was not enough noodles or meat placed in my Combination bowl. My service was not bad as my waiter came very quickly to take my order, and water was given to me right away. My food came out in around 10 minutes so very fast. Very disappointed to write this review. My co-workers and I always come here for lunch because we enjoy the food. Lately the service has been terrible, but today was worse. We got there and there was a new server, understandable that he doesn't know the menu quite well. He brought 2 out of the 4 drinks to our table. Then a new server who has worked there for a while, came to our table with an attitude. One of my co-workers and myself ordered a pho which normally comes out quickly, and it didn't. Then my other co-worker ordered a rice plate with shrimp, and it didn't come out until she went up there to ask where her food was and by then, it was almost time for us to go. My other co-worker usually gets the child's plate just because it's a smaller portion and was denied that order for the first time today. The new server kept coming by our table to bring us food that wasn't ours or spring rolls that we had already eaten. The whole restaurant was completely disorganized and scattered. Overall, the speed and quality of service today was AWFUL. We will not be returning for a while, if at all. read more

Everything else was dry, flavorless, and the portions at dinner were very small lunch portions. The fried egg rolls were great though. We were recommended here and it was the worst experience ever. We ordered spring rolls and the lettuce had gone bad made the taste super bitter. The peanut dipping sauce did not taste right. Decided to try this with the new owners because I thought: "What could be worse than the previous eatery that was here?" Turns out this new owner management is worse than the previous. I ordered the wonton soup and it came out with egg noodles, seafood bits and assorted other things. When I asked the waitress is this normal of wonton soup she said, "Oh they must have decided to give you extra stuff with your wonton soup on today." Besides the fact that I got something completely different than what I ordered, the broth tasted like water is absolutely no flavor to anything else. The wait staff were just standing around talking loudly about their personal issues and not really caring about any of the customers. They're also located right next to a grocery store and their vegetables were not fresh. The bean sprouts I got with my meal were limp, brown and had the spoiled rotten vegetable smell on them. A great place for pho, banh mi and/or com dia (rice plate). Definitely one of the more underrated Vietnamese restaurants in Houston. I've been to a ton (mostly near midtown) and this is definitely one of my favorites. Service is fairly quick and the restaurant is very clean. I usually come for dinner on weekdays or lunch on weekends. I've never seen the place extremely busy or crowded. The pho's broth is good. You don't taste a load of msg like in a lot of other restaurant's broths. The portions are pretty good for the price, ~$8. The banh mi is good. I always order one to-go after my meal to eat later in the evening. I toast up the bread and heat the meat separately and tastes almost like it's fresh. Not bad for ~$3. Lastly, I've had their beef rice plate (Com Dia) which really doesn't look like much. Essentially white rice with beef on the side. I wasn't feeling pho so I ordered this. I was very surprised at how well seasoned the beef was! Also, something quite simple but their white rice was on point (you'd be surprised how many restaurants make terrible rice). Same price as the pho, ~$8 Although it's not in the center of Houston, I would definitely recommend this place since it's an easy drive to get to on I-10. read more

I've been wanting to come here because it's right by my job and I finally got the opportunity! I really enjoy the vibe here, very quiet and nice music playing as well. I got the spring rolls which were amazing and the spicy beef soup. Now...i really wish that the menu would tell you what kind of noodles the soup comes with because if I had known they would have been the thick ones I would have just asked for thin noodles. The soup was super spicy which I loved but oh definitely burned the hell out of my tongue. The soup was scorching hot and it took about 35 minutes for it to cool off. But momma didn't raise no bitch and I continued eating it even though the noodles weren't to my liking and I was burning my tongue off. But it still had great flavor and everyone was super nice! Came in today with my boyfriend on March 20. He ordered the Bahn Mi Bo Kho, they brought him pho broth and the beef inside. When he asked the server if this was their bo kho, she said yes. The second he mentioned that it looked wrong to him (after eating it at several places) the server quickly snatched up the plate after realizing he noticed them trying to pull one over on him. After reading the other reviews.. I am a bit shocked because I had a totally different experience. Upon entry, I was greeted immediately and given the choice to sit wherever I wanted. I ordered the Pho which was priced at about 7.50, When it arrived..which was pretty speedy. ..I didn't expect such a huge bowl of pho...I've eaten pho all over Houston and I've never received a bowl this big for the price! The broth was delicious and everything was made to perfection. I also ordered the Thai tea, which was satisfying as well. Hit and miss... the broths for the soups are wonderful. However, my husband and I ordered vegetarian dishes and both were flavorless, like water with cornstarch and a little soy sauce for color. I rarely write reviews and most definitely almost to never write negative reviews; however, the food was mediocre. There's only one size for pho, which I can understand from an efficiency standpoint but the pho consisted of a lot more noodles than the meat included. The service was good, the staff was very kind, sincere, sweet, and friendly. However, one thing that severely turned me off was that they charge $.25 per each to-go item. In my opinion, and this can purely just be a personal opinion, as part of running a restaurant, there will be costs incurred that should be eaten by the restaurant owner, such as to-go boxes. Now don't get me wrong, I will pay $40 for a bowl of pho if it's worth it but to charge $.25 for each to-go item is ridiculous because it costs way much less than $.25 for a Styrofoam to-go box. Beef pho was absolutely disgusting, borderline inedible. The beef was loaded with humongous nuggets of fat and grizzle, some fat is expected but this was basically chunks of hard fat with slivers of beef attached to it. Broth was oily. They put in some tentacle looking stalk that I have never seen in pho before. Whether that's a thing or not, it tasted awful. This is normally my favorite Pho place to eat, but today they disappointed me to the fullest... I took my brother & his family for Lunch (they live in San Antonio), and were on their way back home when we decided to stop for lunch first. It wasn't even very busy, but the server was extremely rude to all of us! We ordered a side of grilled pork with our Pho (like we always do), we were more than half way finished with our soup by the time we got our side order, my 3 year old niece never got her cup of ice, my brother had to give his daughter some of his rice because they brought her side of rice out very late, my sister in-law had to ask for tea multiple times... we had to get our Appetizers (Crab Rangoon) to go because they brought it out AFTER our meal... We decided to try this place since its new and we regret it so much. Service was non-existent even though we counted at least 10 heads in the kitchen. We ordered the banh mi, a grilled chicken vermicelli, and beef stew. Our food took forever to come out. The waitress brought out the most useless utensil setting I've ever seen in my life. Since when would anyone need a spoon and butter knife for the vermicelli or sandwich? The food lacked any sort of flavor. The beef stew was a sick joke.
