Absolutely love this place!!! Owner is down to earth, attentive, and personable. We came in with a crowd of almost 20. We had a wait, but it was well worth it (so glad we stuck it out). He had a few catering orders he had to get through and needed to set up tables to fit us anyway. He set up a movie for the kids since we had to wait (even let them pick). We ordered pho, vermicelli, salt and pepper chicken wings, spring rolls, calamari, and fried rice. All were INCREDIBLE. Every single dish was spot on perfect!!! The kiddos are still raving about yesterday's fried rice and disappointed we don't have any leftovers for breakfast. Everyone left full and satisfied. Thank you so much for the amazing service! I love Pho J Love. My team and I ate here everyday for lunch and Kevin is the man, but I don't know what happened? Maybe new ownership? Whatever it is? The pho broth and noodle changed over night. The inside of this place is clean and the staff are all so friendly and the prices are good. I've been here a couple of times and I really enjoyed the vermicelli bowl, the flavor of the meat is great, grilled with a hint of smokiness and they give you a sweet tangy sauce to pour over it, if desire. Their sandwiches are a Must have, they are very flavorful, a good size and great price. The downfall to this new place is that the multiple times I've been here they are out of several items on their menu and the wait to get my food is typically 45 minutes. read more

Walked in ordered take out from regular menu, "no to go menu" handout to take with me for phone in order........ Banh-mi, bread roll not as fresh as in Sacramento , carrots and daikon not pickled as should be....but plain grilled pork not too tasty and little dry. Great food. I have to say best Vietnamese food I have in a while, after moving to a small town, the selections are slim. Their pork egg rolls were fried to perfection, and super tasty and then #9 banh mi was on point, the bread wasn't super crunchy and the ingredients were fresh. Lastly tried their grill pork rice plate today and the pork was grilled wonderfully with a nice sauce to go with the rice and veggies that came with. Met the owner, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon to dine in . Probably 3rd time getting take out and it did not disappoint!!! read more

Used to love coming here for sandwiches and Vietnamese rice plates but they completely changed their menu...No more sandwiches or any Vietnamese food at all outside of pho. Now it's only Chinese dishes at about $15-$20 per plate (I didn't see any combo plates). The food is still tasty and the service is good, but it's just disappointing that they've changed so much. read more

J Love has been open for several months now and Hubby and I are big fans. We love Vietnamese food and have been thrilled that a small town like Wheatland has such a unique place to grab some tasty food. I love the Thai iced tea, salt & pepper prawns -- and can't get enough of them. Other favorites are the chivken wings with their special fish sauce, the chicken pho, the #14 noodle dish, pork or chicken egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls, shrimp by the pound (love the sausage/hot link pieces), and now the Queen combo, a delicious rice dish. In fact, going to order some today. The servings tend to be generous and we love how they present their food. They use fresh herbs and greens, which adds additional flavor on top of flavor. The service has been good, and the owner Kevin is great. We've eaten Vietnamese food from many different restaurants over the years and having a place like J Love in our "backyard" has been a welcome addition. read more

Went to this place within the first week of opening...They didn't have many options mainly because they are so new. Their food is really good, however their servers are terrible. Flirting with guys at the counter, never got a refill for drinks, had to ask someone else about food we never received. Just bad service. Now today we go in to eat and a guy rudely says "can't you read the sign? We are closed" yet they had 2 signs up one flashing open and one says closed so how should we know when there are no hours of operation on the door?? Not impressed! read more
