Vegetable chow mein
Emilia G.

It was warm and inviting with pretty plants at entrance. This place was incredible. I tried to find an autentic pho restaurant where it tasted like home and the reviews are definitely true. You can eat and drink the soup without adding anything. The flavor is what I imagined someone's grandma to do. The star anis flavor wasn't overpowering. The honey walnut shrimps were battered to perfection. Condensed milk and honey or mayo and honey is truly godsend. I can't tell which way it was made but it was delicious. The vegetable chow mein added the best starch to our dinner. Haha. We Chowed down. Okay?! lol I'll be driving an hr to come back because everything was so good. The service was amazing too. Got in and took our order and received everything within about 15/20 mins. Epic find and additional to Wheatland food community.

Simple but great food. My favorite is crispy fried whole fish and salt pepper shrimp.

salt and pepper chicken wings

Salt and Pepper Chicken wings - made fresh to order, hand dipped not frozen. They came our super hot, crispy, and juicy with the right amount of salt and pepper. I could eat 20 of them. I also got the hot and sour soup, which is the best in Yuba and Sutter County. Finally, someone makes it hot, spicy, and sour - for some reason, many places are making it sweet, and that is so gross. The soups are also made fresh daily. The owner is super nice and helpful. My husband had the pho, which was fine (not always my favorite). I thought my hot and sour was way better. The place was clean, a lit of seating and plenty of parking. I can't wait for my next drive thru as I want to try their Chinese menu like orange chicken and chow fun.

Cashew chicken

First time here and I tried the cashew chicken which was really tasty! Chicken was super tender, lots of crunchy veggies and they were very generous with the delicious sauce. The service was friendly and food was ready for takeout very quickly. I will return and highly recommend!

My server tried blaming her colleague at the start for being busy, and then completely ghosted me until i was ready for the bill. i was expecting lean chicken for the teriyaki, but instead i got something on par with panda express. Keep in mind that these aren't actually veins, but two inch long, thick and, tough digestive tracts that don't break without a noticeable effort. I expect shrimp to be relatively easy to eat, but in this case, I found the "veins" either wrapped around my tongue or firmly stuck between my teeth. These ongoing battles thoroughly ruined my meal. Having to fight them on one front, while wondering what the shrimp's last meal might've been on another front is more than I should have to contemplate while eating. The "research" I did before posting was simply to find out if it's generally good practice to "de-vein" shrimp before cooking them, and the overwhelming consensus is that, yes, de-vein them so as not to disgust your diners. Order at your own risk - there's almost nothing worse than a disappointing meal.

The customer service here is always above and beyond. No matter if it's two people, four people or twelve. They are always checking on you to see if you need more or if they can take away empty dishes. Super attentive. I have been eating here since I was 12 years old. We had a belated Mother's Day dinner here for my sister and reserved a large table for 12. When we showed up they already had complimentary waters served for us. They are so kind and patient with the toddlers and babies in our family. The portions are always generous here and I have never been disappointed with the quality. Our regular platters to order are the Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Prawns. This time my brother ordered Pot Stickers and I really enjoyed those a lot!! If you are ever close to Lincoln, CA and want to try delicious Chinese Cuisine I promise you this is the place. Clean establishment with plenty more options than I shared. Delightful staff and good vibes.

But yesterday, everything was different. The crunch was gone, and what batter there was had no flavor or crunchy texture. Half the chicken had no batter at all. The sauce was sour, and the spicy kick I loved was gone. The dark brown coloring with that lovely hint of caramel was replaced with a rusty reddish orange sauce. I ordered takeout, and I decided to eat a portion in my car before driving home. I tried, I really did. After a few bites, I closed the container and drove home, and immediately tossed it into the trash. I understand that many restaurants are trying to hang on in this economy. Maybe Lincoln Chinese tried some less expensive ingredients instead of raising prices. I'm here to say, I'd happily pay more for the version that has been my signature order for many years. No other restaurant could top your former General Chicken. PLEASE bring it back! So disappointed.

The restaurant seemed dirty and uncleanly both in the inside and out. The lady who I picked up my order from was nice but the food was just unbearable. The sauce/seasoning was fine but the crawfish meat was tuff and rubbery and discolored. The fat from the crawfish is supposed to be an orangish-yellow color and this crawfish was green and it looked repulsive. I had to throw it out it was practically inedible and I felt like i'd get sick if I ate it. The noodles were perfectly done, there was a good amound of all of the ingredients, and everything was cooked perfectly. The curry sauce had a very mild spice, which was perfect for me. It was just a little bit salty for my personal taste, but not overly so. I do realize that everybody's tastes are different. For desert, I ordered six of the Jin Dui. Sesame donut balls, filled with a sweet bean paste. They were excellent. Not overfried, and the filling was delicious. Not too sweet. I had enough food for 2 full meals. The price for all I got was very reasonable. I want to order from here again. Thanks!!!
