If you are in the area try this place out "PHO Kitch'n". We arrived and where greeted and seated promptly this restaurant is pretty big with enough seating and has enough light from the big windows. It has a big parking lot so that is no issue. We ordered: A5- Shrimp Summer Roll: pretty good. P1- Pho Deluxe: had enough meat for a flavorful punch. The broth was great. P2- Pho: rare steak, meatballs and veggies. Green Tea- great flavor it was made fresh and not the typical tea bags. The owner was also very friendly and attentive would recommend this place based on good food and good customer service with short wait times if your in a hurry. I love places like this where the food is delicious and humble ambiance. Usually Yelp gets these hidden gems wrong because people judge on the restaurants' decor. But it's the food that matters!! Especially in these suburbs of PA. The pho here reminds me of what I used to get all the time in LA and the bay area. The one thing I wouldn't order again is the Thai iced tea. The Pho is great but the service is AWFUL! We waited 1 hour for the FOOD! Never AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food quality and quantity has gone downhill over the last year or so. I loved their shaking beef and always order it. However, on a order a few months ago, the beef was old, and recently the dish came with more onions than beef. I also noticed the pho became inconsistent in flavor as well. The last two times I had it, one was overly salted and another was a slightly different color than what it normally was (tasted okay but not the same though). Im not sure if they changed chefs or what, but I'm hesitant to order food from here again. read more

This place is fantastic for delivery, and FAST! The food is superb, I'm amazed anyone has a cross word to say about them. The Pho is incredible and rich, the banh mi is delicious, the spring rolls and golden bags are perfect appetizers. My kids love the lo mein as well. It's hard to get better food delivered than this. We came here for my birthday because I was craving Pho. The staffs were very friendly and offered us free dessert since it's my birthday. However the food was very average, I've had better pho. The service here was very slow. The day we went we waited a long time to get help from our waitress. We didn't mind it too much because it seems like they were short on staff that day. We were also not in a rush, but just feel really bad for the servers since they're so busy doing everything. If I want to get food from here in the future, I'll probably just get it to go. Pho Kitch'n is definitely a hidden gem! Just got take out from here for the 3rd time and as always, the food was delicious. We ordered the Seafood Pho, Beef Pho, and a couple of appetizers. Everything was still hot when I got home and the portions were huge. The staff is always super friendly when I come to pick up my order. The first time I came here, the kitchen was backed up and they gave me a free boba tea due to the extra wait time. I never mind waiting, but this was super sweet of them to do. Went here with a friend based on recommendation of family members. We started with the pork belly buns. The pork had unbelievable flavor as did the peanut dipping sauce. We actually both used the leftover sauce to dip our shrimp from the pho! Only complaint with pork buns is that you get a large amount of pork, sauce and veggies (all good things!!) but only 2 buns! Would have liked 1 or 2 extra, we still ate all of the pork though because it was too delicious not to. We both also ordered the shrimp pho as our entrees. The bowl is absolutely huge and filled with noodles. The side of jalepenos, bean sprouts, and herbs were a nice addition to the dish. The bowl was also filled with large, juicy, perfectly cooked shrimp (about 6 of them!). The broth had a wonderful sweet but onion-y flavor. What a pleasant surprise! Honestly I didn't have high expectations -- Authentic Asian food is lacking in the suburbs and it's a fact, however I must support (plus anything would be better than "China Inn" where Pho Kich'n is replacing). But after trying for both lunch and dinner, either a quick Pho fix or a full family feast, I am convinced this is a solid 4 star. Here is the breakdown of what I've had: Spring Rolls - 4 stars. Fresh and crispy, but not greasy. Too many places got them wrong but they got it perfectly. Summer Rolls - 3.5 stars. The rolls are good but the sauce is off. The little things do matter. Saytay Chicken and Saytay Beef -- 3 stars. Standard and decent. Again, sauce would be better. Quarto Delight Platter - 4 star. Comes with spring rolls and Satay Chicken, Beef Grape leaves which is interesting, and BBQ Pork with a bed of vermicelli. Great for sharing. Pho - 4 stars. We had several kinds including Pho Deluxe, Select-3 and Shrimp pho. My favorite is the Select 3 Pho. Meat is fresh, broth has good flavors, rice noodle has nice textures, and the bowl has decent amount of everything. That's all you want in a good pho. No it's not the same as the Pho you have in Philly, but it's beyond what you would expect from the suburbs. Com with Pork Chop - 5 stars. Pork chop is juicy and I don't know how they cooked it, but my kids can't get enough of it. For $8.95 you get 2 full Pork chops which surprised me. You might be disappointed that it doesn't come with quiche, but I didn't mind. Bubble Tea - 3 stars. Standard but I can wait until next trip to Chinatown. Service - 4 stars. Very friendly staff. It could be slow at times when they were busy, but they try their best to check on every table. Some inconsistencies but I hope they'll get better. Not the worst place I've ever been, but definitely not a contender for a repeat. This should be a 3 star at best, so I'm not sure why people are 4-5 star crazy for this place. It's very hard to get Viet food wrong, but when your menu consists of Viet, Chinese, and Thai food, you're usually spreading your expertise thin. At least it wasn't fusion food, which I personally don't like. First impressions, the place looked outdated. But, I don't care how the place looks if the food is good, so that didn't bother me. What did bother me was how greasy the menu was. It was a single large piece of laminated paper, with the lamination starting to completely peel, so it felt like plastic wrap on paper. I felt gross after touching the menu. I ordered summer rolls, sugar cane shrimp, avocado smoothie, and com dia (broken rice dish). The summer rolls were pretty good, and I like that they put mint in it. Most places skimp on this, and only do lettuce, but it was definitely a good start that they used more herbs than other places. They actually ran out of sugar cane, so I didn't get to try that. The avocado smoothie was meh. I've been on my Blendtec kick lately, so maybe i'm just biased. What made me not finish my smoothie was the blended up nub or stem that forgot to remove. It made the drink bitter, and that was just pure sloppy on their part. It also wasn't very sweetened, which would be okay if it wasn't bitter from the other thing. The com dia, which started off right again, didn't really finish well. I should have probably ordered something simpler, such as just rice, egg, and pork chop, but I wanted to try their best. The chicken had a lot of fat on it, but I'm usually a chicken breast person so other people might have liked it fatty. The shrimp had this weird fishy taste to it, even though it was breaded and cooked right. The pork chop was okay, and the over easy egg was delicious. They did use broken rice here, which is authentic for this dish. I ate what I could and thought I could salvage my meal with some dessert. I ordered mango with sticky rice from their Thai menu. The mangoes were on border between being ripe and not, but that's okay. When I took my first bite of the sticky rice, I bit into something hard. I thought I chipped a tooth so I combed through what I had just eaten. My tooth was fine, it was just some rice grains that weren't fully cooked, or had dried up completely. Most of the rice was that way on top, so I think they over cooked it or tried to reheat an old dish. Disappointed again, I only ate the mangoes. Before I could even say anything, the waiter dropped off the check. He also saw that I didn't drink a quarter of my smoothie (and even saw me picking pieces of stem from my drink) and didn't eat any of the rice in my dessert. I showed up to pick up a order and after two employees made eye contact with me after waiting five minutes and finally someone asked why I was there.... I told them I was picking up an order and she looks straight in my face and says oh it's just going to be five minutes.....15 minutes later I just realized that she never put my order through and lied straight to my face... After waiting another five minutes I finally got the order so the order was 20 minutes late.....I've ordered from this place numerous times and that was the last straw... Completely unacceptable! Stop lying to your customers! I was really excited to see Viet Kitch'n opening since I love trying out new viet places that pop up in the burbs. Unfortunately this restaurant's food and service did not meet my expectations and let's be honest, my expectations weren't that high. Service: It took 10 minutes for the server to take our order and they never came back to check up on us even though we needed additional utensils. When we looked around, most of the wait staff sat around staring into their phones. It's understandable that it's a slow night but you still gotta do your job. Food: If you're gonna charge someone $9-10 for a bowl of pho, that bowl better be filled with noodles and meat. The bowl they brought out to us was physically large however the contents were severely lacking. There may have been a handful of noodles and a dash of meat and the rest was broth (see photo). The banh mi priced at $5.50 was rather tragic as well...the meat tasted ok but again, lacking in quantity and quality. Conclusion: I've eaten a whole lot of pho all over the US of A and I've probably been most disappointed with this place especially in terms of service and pricing. It'd be all good if you're gonna charge me $6-7 for the amount of food you're giving me but $9-10 is pretty outrageous. I realize other restaurants in this area charge this amount too but they make up for it in the quantity of food they give you and good customer service goes a long way. So all in all, if you're looking for something with substance and not just a big ass bowl of broth, I suggest venturing to other pho establishments in the area such as Banh Mi Bistro, Pho Thai Nam or Pho & More. You'll walk away much, much more satisfied. read more

When it comes to pho, Pho Kitchen is just as great as Pho Thai Nam down the street. However, Pho Thai Nam feels more like a typical suburban sit-down restaurant while Pho Kitchen is more of what you would get in Viet town along Washington Street in Philly. The decor is minimal but more importantly, the food is cheap, excellent, & comes fast. The pho broth is excellent, which is the most important part. However, what I really enjoy about Pho Kitchen is the option to choose which 3 meats you want in your soup. They also have the option of fatty flank steak. Fatty-any-steak is an excellent choice for pho (which Pho Thai Nam does not offer). I also enjoyed the noodles in my soup here a bit more than Pho Thai Nam. Although the best pho is in the City, Pho Kitchen comes close and is $3 cheaper than Pho Thai Nam. read more

Best pho in the area. Comparable to the best pho in Chinatown (Xe Lua Pho on Race St.) My Taiwanese wife says, "If I want good noodles, I go to Pho Kitch'n, unless I am in Chinatown." Food was good, service was "ok" meaning having to wait a little longer than I should to place some orders, but it is a simple restaurant and I believe understaffed anyways I got the bahn-mi and Vietnamese fried rice with steak, they were both pretty good presentation was semi decent, I also got a honeydew smoothie which was pretty delicious. This one is close to my place so I was somewhat excited to see them open. They have quite an extensive menu that covers Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese; and that may be part of the problem - too much to choose and lack of focus. Overall, I like their Pho and their soup base is pretty fresh, not like some places who use MSG to create the taste. But I think it is on the pricy side for what I got. I want everyone to read this review carefully. When this restaurant opened a few years ago they served average pho. The broth was too brown and somewhat cloudy. It worked in a pinch. Swung by for some lunchtime pho with some co-workers. This place isn't bad, the price for a bowl is higher than in Philly but this was the best rate place for pho in the KOP area. Got a P1 which is usually the house special with all the meat fixings. The pho broth good and savory and didn't need anything added besides some fresh herbs and a squeeze of lime.
