Beef Salad

This place does not disappoint. Came here for a second time for dinner and it was still so delicious! Got seated right away. We ordered the beef salad, pad Thai, and crab fried rice. Everything was on par with good flavor. The service is also always so great.

Cute, casual Thai option in Rancho Bernardo near High Country West. The menu options are varied. The Thai iced tea was huge. The waitress was polite. $2 up-charge for brown rice. Several tables inside or take-out. Decent amount of parking in the lot (slightly tight) or street parking. Would visit again.

I love spicy food, but didnt find it here. Ordered a spicy 8 and it hardly had any spice at all. Food was tasty

Boat Noodle Soup

Small restaurant with very limited seating in a busy plaza. Especially during lunch time. 1 way in and out. Prob best to find parking on the street. I ordered Boat Noodles on a rainy day and it was absolutely perfect. I have to say this is the tastiest one I've had so far. Other places are way too sweet for me. Someone greeted me the moment I walked in. Didn't take long for my order to get taken or for them to bring it out. My server even brought the spice tray before I could even ask for it. Will be back.

We tried this place based on Yelp rating. Had lunch with mom and my wife. The menu is standard with some specialty items. We 0rdered.two from the specialty items. The place is small about 10 tables but we were able to get a seat. The server is very polite. Since we have not eaten yet, my review is based only on my first impression and the way we were attended. I will update this review later after after.lunch. I will give them 4.2 UPDATE: Review of the food... Pad See Ew taste good. The veggies are fresh and the noodle was cooked just right. Tiger Cry Steak: the meet is tender enough and taste good as well. Garlic Fish: The veggies are fresh, the fish was cooked just right, and very flavorful. Overall the food is really good. My updated rating for this experience is 4.6

This is a small restaurant with friendly service . They offer lunch specials which include soup, egg roll, cucumber salad and your entree for about $15. I ordered the spicy noodle (drunken noodle) with shrimp and my friend ordered pad thai with pork. I thought our food was very good. I liked the extra touch of giving us guava candy with the bill. I would like to return with more people so we can actually try more items to get a true sense of their food. But nonetheless we had a great experience .

Tucked away in a quiet strip mall this cute casual Thai spot - definitely worth a visit! Nicely decorated interior with a small handful of tables. Highly recommend to call ahead to reserve a table if they are busy! Ordered yellow curry with brown rice - the rice looked more like a very dark purple forbidden rice, but was tasty. Yellow curry was a bit thin (diluted with too much chicken broth) then I like, but had very nice sweet flavor. Pad Thai was savory and tangy with fresh grilled shrimp! The dish was served up with a lovely flower and some ground peanuts and bean sprouts on the side of the dish. Absolutely perfect! This is a great spot for affordable casual food, or ordering food to go! Recommend!

Favorite neighborhood thai place. Seems like many people get takeout from here. Servers are very attentive and quick. Food came out hot and surprisingly flavorful despite ordering mild spice! It's a pretty casual restaurant. I'll try to come back for their weekday lunch specials.

Chicken Green curry (I already scooped out half before I decided to take a picture)

It's my first time here and I ordered take out. Service & Atmosphere: Service was good -- the person helping me was polite, and the interior looked clean. They even had chairs set up for people waiting for their to-go orders, which was a nice touch. Food: I usually order the same dishes when I try new Thai restaurants, so I went with Chicken Pad See-Ew, Chicken Thai Fried Rice, Chicken Green Curry. The Pad See-Ew was the standout. It was flavorful and cooked just right -- definitely the best of the three dishes (4.5/5). The Thai Fried Rice was also solid, made with long grain rice just the way it should be (4.5/5). Unfortunately, the Green Curry was a big miss. When I opened it, I was surprised by how unnaturally green it was -- almost like Easter egg dye. Even the chicken and bamboo shoots had turned green from it. On top of that, the rice was soggy and clumpy, almost like Cal-Rose rice cooked with too much water, which isn't typical for Thai food. Green curry is usually my go-to dish, but here it was disappointing (1/5).

This place is AMAZING. It's a small place in a little strip mall area - and the food is so fresh and such high. The people who run it are so kind. Everyone I've brought here agrees. This is the definition of a "hole in the wall" gem.

Stopped in after watching the game at the pub next door. We came in 45 mins before closing and they still welcomed us. The menu had a variety of dishes to choose from. My partner had the Beef Pad Thai (level 3) and it was on the spicier side for him. (Spice is 1-10) I ordered the Beef Tiger Cry - Medium Rare served with a bowl of white rice. The flavors were wonderful but the beef was more medium/medium well. The dipping sauce was also amazing. I think the portions were good for the price. I'd definitely try it again.

This Thai food restaurant is very good and food is delicious with the great service. The boat noodles are especially delicious, just like the ones in Thailand. Stir fried eggplant is simply delicious and tasty. Fresh spring rolls are so good too. I love this place and I'll come back soon.

I had the whole rock fish today it was fantastic. The ingredients are always fresh, with a real love behind the dishes. They go way overboard on decorating for holidays, which we LOVE! Maybe they were just having an off day today, but I thought this restaurant was just barely OK…read more After hearing how good it is for so long I was a bit disappointed TBH. I went with one of my girlfriends tonight at about 5:30 PM. We were quickly seated. I ordered a mango lemonade, which came out quite fast and was beautiful. It tasted pretty good too. I asked the server for recommendations on the menu, but she seemed startled by my question, like she was not used to giving recommendations. The two items that she did recommend didn't really sound appealing so I went with Pad See Ew with mock duck. That's one of my go to dishes at a Thai restaurant. I asked not to have any spice level added to my food, but the food came out and was just generally lacking flavor. It was very bland and even though there was a generous portion of vegetables in the dish the mock duck was super mushy. All the places I've ever been to it's sautéed crispy. Also, the the noodles were all stuck together. Like if you put noodles in water to let it boil, but you don't stir them and they just boil like that in a clump. The restaurant was very cute inside. I would be open to trying it again just because I've heard so many good things that I can't believe this is their standard experience.

Fantastic window into Laotian food!…read more Nam Khao Tod is consistently fantastic, just an explosion of flavor in every bite. Khao Piak Sen is typically very flavorful. I love the starchy noodles and how it thickens the chicken soup. The Lao sausage is also delectable, comes with a fresh and herbaceous sauce with a side of Lao glutinous rice made presumably the traditional way, soaked in water then steamed. It has a wonderful chewy texture that's different from short grained glutinous rice. All of it is amazing and it's hard to deviate from the regular rotation, but my eye is on the Khao Soi and avocado curry next. No complaints about the ambiance, it's cute with plants and wooden tables, and the bathrooms are very clean iykyk. The owner is there pretty consistently working, a sign of good business practice!

The plaza has horrible parking, and we had to aggressively fight for a parking space with another car before we could even walk in. Came here on a Saturday around 6 pm with 2 friends. == FOOD == We got a beef pad see ew, khao soi, and a pork rice. All the food was pretty good. I took off one star because it seemed like the pad see ew was smothered in white pepper. == SERVICE == Service was a bit slow, but we think it was because we were waiting for the rice to be cooked? However, the staff was polite, apologetic about the delay, and very attentive. She gave us free mango sticky rice. == AMBIANCE == Interior is very nice and there is bar seating too.
