Took a co-worker there on 12/20/13, based on a great experience I had in 4/13. The place was packed. We were seated. My coworker attempted to order the vegetarian pho, but was told that they were out of vegetable broth and offered chicken broth. She ordered the vegetarian fried rice instead. She also ordered vegetarian spring rolls and a raspberry italian soda. I ordered the chicken and egg roll vermicelli bowl. I also ordered a coconut bubble tea. The waiter said he did not know if they had tapioca. My co-workers' spring rolls were delivered first. They were fine. The waiter informed me that their blender was not working, so no bubble tea. When they brought the entree's, they brought my coworker some noodle dish, not the fried rice. I had to ask multiple times for the sauce for my dish. Both of us commented on how bland the food was, despite my sauce and her re-order of the rice. The service was slow and inattentive. By the time we had our meal, the restaurant had cleared out quite a bit, but I never got a refill on water and had to ask for the check. I was so disappointed. Last time I went the food was great. My family my two sisters Jamie and Ashley and 3 nephews Cj, Avery, and Evan. We just came from a family outing to the pumpkin farm and we were all very hungry. The boys had happy meals with them from McDonalds and when we first sat down we assumed the business would tell us right off the bat if they could serve us or not with outside food. Normally I would never bring outside food but we had a long day and had picky eaters. Firstly we ordered and we all were taken back by the prices! Super steep for a pho place, Secondly the veggie broth I received was the blandest most disappointing broth I have EVER eaten (and I have been to ALOT of pho in my day). AS A SIDE NOTE THEY MADE US GRAB OUR OWN BOWLS AND SUPPLIES. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Thirdly when my nephew Evan went to the bathroom who is only 6yrs old they laughed at him! And pointed there fingers at him. Look it was dress yourself day and also punpkin farm sunday so to say the least he was dressed to get dirty (super hero pajamas and rain boots). I couldnt believe what I was seeing! Are you seriously making fun of a child!? Lastly and fourthly when we went to pay the cashier charged a unmentioned gratuity charge for ALL the adults. Why was this?? Do you really think your service was worth a tip of any kind? No.... are food was terrible, you made fun of my nephew and then you charge us! On top of all of this she asks me "so do you need a bag to clean up your mcdonalds food and throw it away" ( ARE FOOD WAS BAGGED IN ONE BAG AND THERE WAS LITERALLY NO MESS!!) If I could give it no stars, I would. In fact, I made a Yelp account just because of how disappointing the experience was. Whether take out or sit in, I never had a pleasant experience. Since moving to Kirkland, I made it a point to try a variety of restaurants. The first Vietnamese place I tried was Pho Express and Specialties. When they were closed for weeks, on top of being closed on Sundays, my boyfriend and I decided to try out Pho Mignon. I realize that pho ga (chicken pho) is not the dish of their namesake, but no matter how much I hate wasting food, I could not eat the chicken. I don't know what they did, but it was the driest poultry I have ever even attempted to eat. In soup, no less. I offered a try to my boyfriend to make sure I wasn't crazy. Sure enough, he spit it out. We didn't find the broth remarkable, but it was fine enough. His meat appeared partially frozen still. The extremes were kind of bewildering. But we tried again a while later. It was a Sunday. They have good reviews. Maybe it was an off night. We ordered to go. He ordered a rice dish, I ordered vermicelli. His dish came with two tablespoon sized pieces of meat, hardly what would be expected for the dish or price. I got what appeared to just be straight up fish sauce - not even just a strong version of the fish sauce/lime/etc blend that it should have been. I even tried putting some on the noodles figuring despite the different shade than i am used to and the overwhelming smell, the stuff always smells kind of weird on its own and maybe their blend was just different. I really wanted vermicelli. Nope! I gaged. I don't know how our experience could be so terrible, and yet others are positive enough that it stays in business. Lackluster service, I can deal with. Being ripped off AND needing to throw out food more than once? Why would I do that? For the "convenience"? Get real. Obviously I will never return here, and feel stupid for giving it more than one try. read more

I like this place because it is very consistent. Pho is a must have for us on winter nights when it's cold, rainy and no one wants to make dinner. We get take out and sometimes dine in. The service is always fast and the servers are always nice. It just hits the spot and is our neighborhood go to, plus I believe they are open a bit later then other spots. read more

The filet mignon pho is definitely worth a visit here. Super tender filet in really tasty broth- it deserves all the rave reviews, that's for sure! The bahn mi was good, not the best though (lots of bread, little meat and veggies). Pretty good. The pho broth is a meat based approach. Little spicing and a touch of lime. Other than that a strong beef flavor. The mignon beef is very tasty. A definite plus and worth the extra buck. Silky, smooth and tender as it should be. Portions are pretty good. I felt the large was a little sparse on the noodles though. The spring/fresh rolls were ok. Everything tasted fresh but there just wasn't enough going on in them. No mint, the shrimp didn't pop, and the pork did not either. We dine here often as we live close by and this place never disappoints. Food is always fresh, tastes delicious and service is always nice. When busy, mostly on weekends, they may occasionally mess up your order, but they make up for it and they're always pleasant. We love their pho, spring rolls and pork pad thai. By far my favorite Pho place in the Kirkland area - prices are good, quality is good. The mignon meat is delicious and it's nice to have meat that isn't tough, especially for those of us who are chopstick challenged at times. Service is quick and friendly, but nothing to really write home about. I've had takeout and eaten in here, and prefer to eat in since it seems the portions are smaller for takeout and meat cooks better when the broth is still extra hot. read more

I've been to this restaurant three or four times in the last two months. Truth be told, I am on the hunt for the perfect banh mi. If there was more filling in the banh mi, it would be utter perfection. First time I came here, I was sick, and pho is my cure-all-that-ails-ya. It was purdy good and surprise surprise, it was happy hour! Awesome! Time the Second was the same sickness, but with a friend who was visiting to make me feel better. I got pho ga (same as the first time) and was satisfied. The spring rolls are delicious and have the leaf lettuce instead of shredded iceburg lettuce and that little crunchy thing, plus a slice of ham, shrimps, basil and rice noodles. Yum! The most recent time I went with another friend. I decided to order the pho mignon upon seeing all the reviews of it. OH MY GOD. Never has a heavenlier flavor passed my lips. AMAZING. I may never order pho ga (chicken) again, especially not from here, only because the pho mignon is amazing. The slices are suuuuper thin and rare, extremely tender and damn. Just awesome. I can't stop! I would give them a 5, but: *Not enough filling in the banh mi. Even more veggies would suffice! *No milk tea, only smoothie/slushie type *No spoons on my table the first time I went in The service is really quite good, they are happy when you compliment them, the young man who works there (over 18, under 21) is pleasantly chatty; we talked about milk tea and banh mi while I waited for my friend to arrive and I was the only person there. Once we were starting our meal, the restaurant was completely full, with people waiting for a seat and people waiting for take out. Came here after work on a Monday, there were about 4 other people in the restaurant when I arrived. I was seated quickly and water was given right away. I decided on the vermicelli bowl with chicken and egg roll for my meal. All of my condiments were at the table and the nice server brought out the fish sauce to pour over my bowl once it arrived. It took a little less than 10 minutes for my food to come out and it was nice and hot, other than the noodles which are not supposed to be piping hot, everything was just right. The lemongrass chicken on top was delicious and the noodles were yumm, especially with chili sauce, hoision sauce and the fish sauce on top. I also put a little Sriacha on top, too. My dinner was really good and I think I nearly finished the whole thing, but didn't feel too overly full after. My bill came in under $10 and I guess they have a sort of rewards card there for frequent flyers because I was asked if I had one...I did not, unfortunately. Best Pho I have had on the eastside of Seattle. Luckily it is also close to my house. My favorite is the Pho Mignon small Pho. I also really enjoyed their bubble tea - I tried out Mango. I have been here several times - both take-in and take-out. Excellent experience and definitely worth checking out. The only time I was disappointed was one time they ran out of the Pho Mignon #1, and I had to try something else. Not a big deal, the other dishes are great too! read more

Used to be a quite regular customer ever since they've opened and really loved and enjoyed their food until last week. Unfortunately we decided that we are not going back to their restaurant anymore as we've recently had a couple of unpleasant experiences with their servers. First occasion happened in early January this years and i was related to money we paid. The young cashier lady made a mistake(we want to believe it was a mistake) counting a couple of bills and accused us for giving not enough cash. We are certain what we paid as we had limited cash in the wallet. She did not give us change and claimed we paid less. After listening to what we were claiming their manage came in and apologized. Our second and the most recent occasion was about food item we ordered that they served to the wrong table. They served our spiring rolls to the table next to us(they were finishing their meals..and i thought it was our spring rolls served on the wrong table) and after waiting about 20 minutes( by this time our phos were already served)i asked male served if our spring rolls are ready. Without giving us any notion of being late or sorry, they finally served our spring rolls.They give the wrongly served spring rolls for free to the other table and charged full for us. We could not even finish those spring rolls as we ordered them for appetizer not dessert. Asking them to give me a small to-go box to put my unfinished spring rolls, i finally tried to make a comment regarding the service that they provided that day. The lady at cashier seemed kinda sorry but ask us what we wanted them to do. Told them i just wanted to let them know how horrible their service was that day and walked away forever.Their attitude was not apologetic at all. read more

So nice to discover this pho place on the Eastside that gets it right! I had kind of given up on the places I used to go to because they just didn't measure up with the pho experience I can get in the ID. The broth alone is just heavenly. The pho mignon is melt-in-your mouth good. If you haven't tried this place, make a point to visit soon. On a side note: Why do people complain about not getting cream puffs at all pho houses, and give a place demerits because of not getting one. After my favorite pho store in Bellevue was closed, I am looking for a substitute but could not find one as good as the original one, until I met pho mignon. The pho broth is very good, not very oily, but taste very good. All beef meats are good as well. I did not try rare beef steak, but it look good - fresh and thin slice, and my friend like it. No complain to chilly sauce and side dishes. The price is also very reasonable. And I recommend small size for girls and small stomachs. read more

I had a pretty bad experience with a fairly simple dish. I ordered pan fried tofu with noodles which I believe was on the "E" side of the menu with a mango bubble tea and it was all bad. I was originally looking to order a Veggie Pho but they don't have veggie broth for there Veggie Pho here. Kinda saddening.. The pan fried tofu w/ noodles was extremely greasy and the order was also must smaller then I expected for the price I paid. The bubble tea was much thicker than I expected as well. This restaurants is new too so hopefully they can work out the kinks they have. read more

Awesome and tasty pho! Hubs and I love their filet mignon pho and shrimp wraps - fresh ingredients and generously-sized bowls for pho. The service was fairly quick and each employee was professional and polite. We have both dined here and purchased take-out and it was scrumptious every time. My only complaint is that they definitely do not put enough meat in their pho...generous on all other ingredients though. A good sign of any good pho place is the broth. And this place has great broth! I've been here a few times and every time the pho is consistent and delicious, the spring rolls are awesome as well. I just with they had more space. This place is very popular so sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. I also with they would give us more bean sprouts. Was our pho location of choice for take out for the first 12 months we lived in kirkland... Since last year, sometime in 2014 the broth seemed to go downhill. Not as much flavor, skimpy on the beef.
