We saw this place was new and had great reviews, so we thought a rainy Sunday afternoon was the perfect time to try it and we were not disappointed! We started with an iced Vietnamese coffee and and iced Vietnamese latte - they were both so tasty that we said "aw " after our last sip. The spring rolls and sauce were delicious - the pork sausage had a little kick and crunch that paired well with the fresh herbs. The pho was amazing. We tried it as delivered, which was good, and after googling if it's ok to add sriracha and hoisin (it totally is - just not soy sauce) it was incredible. The added sweetness with the pop of lip tingling spice was just what it needed. The staff took time to talk to us and coach us since we are pho novices. I came here today because a friend of mine has been coming once a week at least since they opened pretty much and she was talking very highly about it as it's very hard to find a good pho spot in this area so I told her I would meet her over there today. I was actually excited to try this spot. we looked over the menu and I asked the waitress about the vegan artichoke wonton. She said it was artichoke with vegan cheese. I asked her if there was a way to put cream cheese in it and she was not sure seemed like a very difficult question to ask her so then I said, or how about the crab cream cheese wontons is it possible to do it without the crab, she still very unsure so then I asked what about the shrimp wontons she had no idea. She said it shouldn't be a problem because they make them in the back.I said, "can you please find out and let me know ?, I am really anxious to try this." she then had a conversation with who I am assuming is "pho mama" I was speaking to my friend and she was like oh yeah that's the owner! She said it was basically shrimp sautéed in butter I said OK will take that. I also ordered a side of white rice. Well the owner was in front of us. I asked my friend what type of pho she ordered we confirmed it was the steak since it was my first time there I told her I would share with her just to taste it! Anyhow, while we were waiting for a good 15 minutes just for our spring rolls, I watched two people next to us that sat after us be served before us! OK, strike 2 to again, still trying to give the benefit of the doubt. she brought out our spring rolls and put them on the table. We both looked at each other as we noticed there was beef and we said excuse me, ma'am, we ordered shrimp. She rudely looked at me and my friend and said " No! she ordered sizzling beef " We both looked at her and said " NO ! , we ordered This is sizzling shrimp !" she was very argumentative and I said I even asked you specifically what came with the sizzling shrimp she showed no compassion no I am sorry she literally removed the spring rolls from the table as she was walking away. I'm just so happy I do not have to drive down to south sac for good pho. Their broth is clear and flavorful without all the extra impurities and seasoning. You can taste all the ingredients because everything is just so fresh! Also they have pickle jalapeños in the fridge so it preserves the freshness. I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of Pho Momma ever since I saw their sign go up a few months ago. My family and I love Vietnamese food and Pho in particular. To my excitement, I saw the open sign lit up on Thursday, and I stopped in with my daughter the next day. The wait was worth it! Pho Momma exceeded our expectations. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. The ambience was clean, modern and inviting. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and offered great recommendations when prompted. We ordered several items to go to take home to the rest of the family. They carefully packaged everything and had attention to detail. You can tell they value presentation. All the dishes looked as though they had been served to us in the restaurant. The springroll had a layer of cling wrap to hold it in place, and the pho garnishes were nicely laid out and wrapped on a tray with heating instructions. Pork Sausage Fresh Springroll w/ Crispy Layers - Amazing. This was a recommendation from the waitress, and it might have been our favorite dish. Pork sausage in the middle surrounded by crispy layers, lettuce, beansprouts, cilantro, basil, mint, and rice noodles. The Momma's peanut sauce is like nothing I've ever had. Not your average peanut sauce. A must try. Pork Eggrolls - Well seasoned. Comes with the typical lettuce, mint, cilantro, and pickled carrot. Dipping sauce was on point. Shrimp Eggrolls - Shrimp wrapped in eggroll wrapper. Well seasoned again. Comes with the same dipping sauce as other egg rolls which is delicious. Vegan Artichoke Wontons - Really good flavor and super crispy. Comes with dipping sauce just like the eggrolls. I imagine the sauce is vegan as well but didn't ask. Momma's Pork Fried Rice - The chunks of pork are very flavorful. Better than most fried rice dishes I've had. Pho #6 Half/Half - I went with Lean Beef(rare) and Meatballs. Broth was good with nice balance of spice. It could have been slightly richer, but it is hands down the best in Rancho Cordova and a contender for the Sacramento area. This is my family's new go to spot! Their pho is great, and their springrolls and appetizers make them standout from other Vietnamese restaurants. I yelped closes Pho place near me and pho momma popped up with 5 stars! 5 stars?! I have never seen a pho restaurant with 5 stars. I told my son this was a must try! As you read my previous reviews, my family it's pho in our weekly rotation. We arrived around 7:10 pm quickly greeted by Amy. Sat immediately, no wait perfect! Interior is nice and clean, modern. My so ordered rare beef and meatball. I ordered combo 3. My son also ordered extra noodles. I originally wanted the stew pho but they are out until Saturday. Super bummer. I suggest 2 things, one having everything on the menu in stock also having garlic minced or fresh garlic for customers as most pho restaurants always have garlic available. Broth was very flavorful. Meat was nice and tender. Amy gave us e tea limes and peppers as requested. Amy was super nice with sizing customer service which made our experience that much better. My son also orders got jasmine tea. Very cute tea pots. Trin came to check on us as well and refilled our waters. I have a great experience from the omens I walked they the door. Food was delicious!
