Pho with beef rib, tendon, sliced beef balls, and tripe combination
    Christine N.

That clear, flavorful, savory pho broth that I'm always chasing after. It had a great balance of a hint of sweetness to your savory beef broth. They didn't skimp out on the meats, tendons and tripe in my dish either. With the bean sprouts and herbs added, it hit the spot and was the right kind of comforting food I want from a bowl of pho. The beef rib was tender and delicious too. They pre-mix their Vietnamese iced coffee buy it was strong and sweet just like you'd expect. Probably why I had a hard time sleeping lol. It wasn't super busy nor loud when I was there on a Monday for lunch with dine-in customers but they had quite a few to-go customers. The service was friendly and attentive. I usually come here with my mom so it's Vietnamese mom approved, hah.

Food: 5/5 Chicken Spring Rolls: I was immediately surprised when they brought this dish out to me. The chicken was freshly grilled, which added a nice char. The smoky chicken enhanced the spring rolls and was worthy of my positive review. Service: 5/5 From the second I sat down, the waiter was quick to tend to my needs. I never once had to signal for him to come over. Ambience: 5/5 The TV was on and the volume was lowered upon request. The interior is inviting and clean. The temperature is cool. This has been my go-to restaurant in the East Valley for many years.

My Favorite Pho place! If you are looking for authentic food this is the spot. We are regulars and we are never disappointed. Service is always great. My favorite dishes are the Pho #21, the shrimp egg rolls and Thai tea.

Came here for Pho, tried their beef pho and spicy beef pho. They both tasted good enough, but I've definitely had something better around this area. But when it comes to Pho, it's always filling and warm no matter where I go!

I haven't had pho in over 10 years. It was definitely time to try it again. Phenomenal. Just amazing. Why did I wait so many years to have pho again? This place offers a full on coconut as a drink. They bring out the coconut with a hole on the top to consume the drink AND eat the coconut filling. I guess this was a young coconut so the nut part was all soft and creamy and amazingly delicious. I had never had one of them before. the wanton soup was great! The broth tasted like pho broth. The beef was delicious! Definitely need to go back soon.

I wasn't feeling well and I was wanting some Pho so my amazing bf brought me some and it hit the spot. It was hands down one of the best shrimp pho's I've had in a while and it was very filling. They were generous with the shrimp and noodles I'll definitely try again.

Stop in for late lunch had spicy chicken shrimp Pho it was delicious... now I know there are hundreds of Vietnamese Pho throughout the city. Pho Number One served clean tasty and not too spicy Pho with the right amount of shrimp and chicken the noodles were very flavorful in the broth was delicious and not too salty. I also had an appetizer. Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls with the tasty, mild sweet dipping sauce. If you are in the area of Dobson and baseline, stop in and give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.. I also like to have that the service was great ambience of the restaurant was very clean. Had a big screen TV so you can watch sporting events..

The food is tasty here and the service is very good here. The price is pretty affordable. It is reasonable for the food. The rice plate, pho, and vermicelli is what we ordered and the flavor of the food is very nice. The environment is very clean and there's a lot of space to sit a lot of seats and tables.

Really good, really fast, no complaints but nothing too unique. The broth was quite tasty - another pho place to add to the roster if I'm ever in the area and looking for no-frills.

Bun Bo Hue ( Spicy beef noodles) and Bò Lá Lốt và Heo Nướng Cuốn Bánh Tráng (Grilled Beef Wrapped with Betel Leaf and Grilled Pork)

I happened to find this vietnamese restaurant in Mesa and wanted to try their Bun Bo Hue. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Neef Noodle) and Bò Lá Lốt và Heo Nướng Cuốn Bánh Tráng (Grilled Beef Wrapped with Betel Leaf and Grilled Pork) to go. The Bun Bo hue was flavorful with a slight hint of spice and had a generous amount of brisket. I definitely recommend the Bun Boe Hue. The Bò Lá Lốt và Heo Nướng Cuốn Bánh Tráng was also good. The meet was very flavorful and they also have Mắm Nêm (dipping sauce made with fermented fish) which was a little sweet for my taste, but if you added a little bit of lime and chili paste made it delicious! The service was quick and fast! I called in ahead of time and placed my order and by the time I arrived it was already. They also have a fridge full of vietnamsss desserts and pickled papaya and cabage to take home. I am looking forward to try the next time I am in. If you are in the Mesa area and are craving some vietnamese food, I would definitely recommend to try this place.

Even on a hot Phoenix summer day, the pho was still worth it -- savory, flavorful, and satisfying. Service was pretty standard for an Asian restaurant and nothing particularly stood out, but you're really coming here for the food. Definitely a solid option for a casual Vietnamese lunch, and I'd come back to try some of their other dishes!

The menu is quite diverse and our dishes did come out in a reasonable time. We ordered the appetizer sampler, #34 Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm, and #72 Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang. There were 5 appetizers on the sampler plate to try - the lotus salad was my favorite, the egg roll was a bit over-fried, and while the shrimp tempura looked delicious, it was a bit too doughy for me. Nice selections, but probably wouldn't need to get it a second time. I feel like it's hard to find Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm at restaurants, but they did it pretty well and I liked the fried fishballs they had as I've never had that before. While the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang came in a decent sized bowl, we would've liked more protein/toppings as there was a bit too much noodles. As we were checking out, they did have fried shrimp chips on the counter they were selling in addition to fried bananas with black sesame seeds sprinkled on top (2 for $5). We brought some fried bananas to take home and wow, that was probably the highlight for the restaurant. Would come back alone for these!!

I would definitely go here if you're looking for something new or seeking a rarer dish. They also have VERY generous portion sizing, so it's pretty good value. If you wanted something familiar like pho or rice dishes, I personally feel that other places do them better. I have a family member who went separately who said the banh khot (a rarer dish in the US) they ordered was better than the regular Vietnamese offerings. When my partner I went, service was a little slow and distracted. They currently have the World Cup games playing on the TV for both customers and themselves. I don't mind the fanfare around the excitement for the games, but the waiter did get our food order wrong due to the distraction :( The bussed tables were pretty clean, but a lot of tables were left unbussed for a very long time due to the game too. My partner and I went with the meatball and brisket pho and bun thit nuong (except this one came out wrong and was just bun cha gio). Cyclo's pho style is on the sweeter side. I was a little shocked at how sweet it was. The bowl size is huge and comes with plenty of noodles. They don't skimp. My partner's bun cha gio was okay. Cyclo is a little more special in that they put taro in their cha gio (egg rolls). We personally weren't fans of this, but it is unique. The taro gives the filling a slimier texture. Overall, my partner and I wouldn't return again for the food unless we wanted something more new, but we do love how good value Cyclo is.
