    Combination fried rice with beef!

One of my favorite pho spots in North Austin. Never overcrowded and service is pretty quick!y The pho is delicious and always flavorful. The regular bowl is more than enough for me. On my recent visit, I tried a new dish (honey Siracha chicken) and it didn't come close to their pho. Also, the portion was a little small for the price. The restaurant is always pretty clean. There's no host so seating could be confusing for a new guest (just sit at any open table). They're still at the top of my list for pho!

Service seems to be hit or miss however the food is what brings me back. Pho is about the broth and they got a good broth. Place is clean and it's nice to just sit and enjoy your food. I'd recommend this spot to anyone.

My dad & kids love coming here for lunch literally our only and favorite pho spot! I try coming here a least once a week I can never go wrong with their food. And the staff always so attentive and gets my order right

Condiments and napkins in a bag was not a favorite.

Found a new Vietnamese restaurant nearby that we hadn't seen in all of our travels here and there. The restaurant is in a small strip center and has about 15 tables and a good looking menu! We ordered a spring roll appetizer and made sure they knew I was allergic to shrimp so we got the pork spring rolls. We both liked them except they were somewhat 'loose' so you lost stuff each time you dipped. Not a deal breaker here, because it was so good, but hey, tighten up those rolls guys! Now, I'm always looking for a good bowl of Bun Bo Hue when I try out a new Viet restaurant so was excited when I saw it on the menu (listed as BBH). Unlike other soup offerings it was only offered in one size but the photos they had of it were appealing. Of course, being Anglo, I had to ask if it comes with 'everything' meaning, pork feet, pork blood, etc. Yes, it had 'everything' except for the pork blood, but I ordered it anyway. So my positives are that the soup had a really good taste to it, very solid and the bowl was full of stuff, especially the pork foot and other proteins. The broth wasn't too spicy and wasn't so hot that by the time you can eat your meal your dining partner is finished. But I really have to protest about receiving my condiments in a plastic bag! I'd really much rather them put all of the veggie condiments on a plate like everyone else does. It made it very difficult for me to pick out stuff from the bag (I like more of this but maybe less of that). Still, trying to dig at the bottom of the bag for stuff was messy and not every easy. Plus, I like to grab a hand full of bean sprouts and break them in half when they're on a plate but you really can't do that here. Next time I'll ask for that to come on a plate. The other minor detail is they give you a couple of napkins tucked into that plastic bag with your condiments. Hey, I'm eating soup! Just put a napkin holder on each table please! Still, we really enjoyed or meal, it was very good and we will definitely be back to try other menu items.

    Vegetable Fried rice. Tasted rotten

Not only the Food quality is low and taste bad, the service is horrible. I waited for my check for 20min and they still kept ignoring me

The service here was amazing! Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking in on me and my friends to see if we needed anything. I'm very picky with my Pho broth and this has to be one of the best broths I've tried! The portions are huge for the price I would highly recommend. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because noodles were soggy :(

We ordered the Rice Plate with Egg Rolls & Grilled Pork (C5), EggRolls (A1), and the Pho Tai (P1). Not sure if we were ravenous or if Pho Phi is just that amazing, but we scarfed down our meal within a matter of minutes. The C5's pork was actually sweeter than salty, which is uncommon for this dish.Though different, it was still great. The broth in the pho was amazing, so homey and flavorful. However, they skimp on the beef! Will definitely return to try other dishes!

Food was just alright.. I ordered a small brisket and tendon pho but they only gave me one piece of tendon??? My husband ordered the large pho dac biet and it was just ok as well... The portions were pretty big but lacked flavor.

Nothing like Phở on a cold Austin Day! I ordered the bún bó huê' which was pretty good, it wasn't as spicy as it should have been. It is almost authentic Vietnamese cuisine minus the blood pork jello goodness! This place is taking COVID seriously and have utensils individual wrapped which is a great thing. I would consider coming back again to give other dishes a try.

Solid food Interior is nice, staffed well, lots of seating Viet iced coffee (asked for it with LIGHT ICE-- see pic) 3/5 Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) 4/5 - TOTALLY NOT AUTHENTIC BROTH (was literally pho broth with spice, kid you not) when I came in Jan 2022 buttt tasted normal (with legit broth) when i came in 2021 so imma just say that the chef was confused or ran out of broth and was embarrassed - lemme go back to an earlier point and state that the 2022 broth wasn't bad tho... just wasn't what I was expecting. so like def try it (esp if you like spicy food) and take the gamble on whether you get spicy pho or bbh. - oh ALSO the noodles were legit broken up into little ant sized pieces (in 2022) which was super confusing, considering I'm a grown adult (not a four year old child that needs their food cut up?) - think the chef just needs some sleep tbh, it's been a rough year for all of us /s - generous amounts of meat including tender brisket, ham, pigs feet, etc Good value, nice clean dining area

As i left EBISU, Julie's was across the parking lot so i finally went. Only the big table was available so i sat and a nice young couple sat with me and ordered so much stuff that they shared and i got to try the dumplings, scallion pancakes, and the chicken chow mien which i had ordered for myself. The food was was pretty good! I was overwhelmed with options and picked the Stewed Chicken Chow Mein which I enjoyed but next time will get something a bit spicier. Like I said the couple sitting with me shared a pork dumpling and and some scallion pancakes with me and were both really delicious and when I go back again I'll likely get them. The staff is really nice and the woman at the counter was sweet and asked permission to put other customers at the large table I was sitting at. Which I was happy to do especially since I was eating alone. I did feel sick the rest of the day so I knocked off a point. Hopefully it's just that my stomach doesn't digest noodles fast enough and next time I'll try dumplings or a rice dish.

The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

I ordered hot and sour pork soup. I had never had hot and sour soup with meat. Portions were generous, ingredients fresh, and the food arrived smoking hot. The noodles were soft, smooth and flavorful. The pork inside looked like tiny meatballs. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the restaurant was completely full and customers were continuing to flow in. Because the restaurant is rather small, I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order. Jim, one of the owners, said if I had ordered 3 items it would take about 45 minutes, that's why I went with one. Even at 4:30 pm, the place got pretty slammed. We're a house divided on this place; one of us thinks it was really good, while the other one thought it was only OK. The food comes out fast, alarmingly fast. The fried green beans are always a must for us, and these were good, but not superior to any of the other ones that you can find around town. The bok choy was also typical, and the famed mapo tofu--while wonderfully spicy--was really greasy. We both loved the cumin lamb, our favorite dish. What sets it apart here is that the meat is more "wet", and again, the spice factor was just right. We now have to mention the dumplings. Our kiddo ordered some pork pot stickers, and a woman came out to put the plate in front of her; our daughter then proceeded to move the sauce off the plate and was about to dig in when the woman came back, put the sauce back on the plate and then delivered it to another table!!!!!!!!!! How many food safety laws were violated in that moment is beyond us!! The potstickers were disgusting btw...frozen and overfried and terrible. Overall, the restaurant might have been 3.5 stars, mayyyyyyybe 4, but after the whole Dumpling Situation, we're settling on 3. Doubtful whether we will be back though.
