Needed a place to eat near the airport and this is like 10 minutes away, but you'd never guess it...neighborhood is nice and the drive to the airport is actually scenic from here passing the marshland. Food was delicious and the space had a nice relaxed vibe. Lots of locals ordering takeout and plenty of Vietnamese patrons is a good indicator the food is good. Well, it's better than good! Great spot for PHO I also had the extra crispy rolls and they were so good. The pho was delicious, the broth alone was amazing and was full of flavor. The staff super friendly and there is lots of parking and seats available. Restaurant was clean but I didn't see the bathrooms. They accept all major credit cards. The one thing that was just ok was the Thai tea. Everything else was full of flavor and tasted great. I felt that the tea was missing something and tasted more milky than anything. Pho is one of my favorite dishes. I love every little bit of Vietnamese cuisine that I have tried over many years, with the best being homemade, but having access to homemade meals like that isn't a constant reality for me unfortunately. It also helps that pho is one of the most savory and customizable meals that I have had, and consistently at that. I have had pho from all over the Philadelphia area and obviously have my favorite locations and also get mine with everything in it, tripe and tendon being the highlights when I can find them. The most traditional and, in my opinion, best spots will always have these as ingredient selections. I have been to Pho Philly twice now. Once to sit down with my friend Collin and another time to bring soup home for dinner for one evening when everyone couldn't decide on one place to order from, so I simply went and got what I wanted. In Delco, there is a lack of good Vietnamese. This IS changing, albeit slowly, and Pho Philly is close to home and is good enough. It's not what I would call spectacular and it is by no means bad in any way. Their broth is delicious and the noodles are long, and have just enough chew to them. Ingredients are very fresh and everything comes out fairly quickly and piping hot. Taking it home wasn't as great, but that's to be expected when taking a meal home that really should be eaten at the establishment. All in all, Pho Philly is a great place that is nearby for when I really want pho. They don't have tripe which is a let down, but will never keep me from ordering there. Their broth is tasty and seems to be made daily and the staff is nice and attentive in a neat space that looks like it was once an old diner. Give them a try if you're in Tinicum, and I will be coming here I'm sure for years as long as they're still here! read more

Service was excellent, though the individual who took my order seemed a bit frustrated when I asked questions. This was my first visit, so I just wanted to understand the portion sizes. I was seated quickly, and my food arrived within five minutes of ordering -- very impressive! The only negative for me was the restroom. It had a slightly off-putting smell, and while I know it's just a restroom, I personally believe they should be kept spotless. For me, a clean restroom is a reflection of how clean the kitchen might be. That said, the dining area was very clean and smelled wonderful from all the different bowls of pho being served. Food was good, service desperately needs improvement. After a few days of eating crabcake sliders, wood-fired pizzas, hoagies from Wawa, and other more American-ish fare, we were in need of some Asian food, particularly pho. Where we were staying, however, didn't have many options, but this place turned up on a Yelp search. We were surprised by the somewhat early closing time - 6:45pm - and showed up about 30 minutes before closing time even though it was much earlier than when we usually take dinner. There were just two other parties in the restaurant when we arrived. We were seated right away and were given water, but then a long while passed before anyone came to take our order. There was someone who clearly worked at the restaurant eating a table across from us, and even though he looked over us and made eye contact, he didn't direct anyone to take our order and the person who seated us had disappeared. Finally someone came by and we made our selections. We got the fresh spring rolls, which came out quickly. And we waited for our main dishes. And waited and waited and waited. Now, around us in the South Bay near San Jose, the pho places are almost brutally efficient, with the soup coming out before we are able to finish our started. Pho Philly was the diametric opposite. It was well over 30 minutes before our food arrived, and it wasn't even ready all at the same time. In the meantime, even though it was past closing, other groups came in and were seated. I wonder what time this place actually closes. After receiving our food, no one checked on us again. I needed water and couldn't flag down any of the people coming in and out of the kitchen because they never looked our way. Finally I just hollered out when someone came out and the person seemed surprised that there were customers in the room. The food here is actually very good. The pho broth is nicely seasoned without being too salty or peppery. My noodles were a little clumped. I ordered the shrimp pho, and it came with 6 decent-sized shrimp. One my companions got the Pho Philly special which contains different iterations of beef; this was generally liked but the beef balls weren't hitting the right texture notes. The house special vermicelli dish was also quite. I really would have liked to give this place a higher rating - for food alone it's at least 4 stars in my book and perhaps even higher than that. But they really need to get their service in order. read more

On my way to Alaska for my 2nd annual fishing trip there, staying at a La Quinta park/sleep/fly, luckily just down Rt. 291 in Ridley Park(suburb of Philly) so I could eat here at Pho Philly again this year. Just a 10 minute walk away. As last year, it was simple but complex, incredible depth of flavor. Delicious protein, crisp and fresh veggies, perfectly done vermicelli noodles, scrumptious sauce and perfect chili heat. My belly is very happy. I'll do this trip every year until I can't, and will always look forward to eating here. If it wasn't 2 hours away I would be here every week. We just landed in Philly and left the airport. It was lunch time and so my husband wanted pho. This place got 4.7/5 stars on Google search and it was the closest to where we headed so we came here. Super friendly and accommodating staff. They have moon cakes made locally for sale which was cool. They also have various Vietnamese candied fruits available for sale as well. Not a lot of desserts available. They had spicy beef noodles soup, cream noodles soup and another type of noodles soup as their special for the day. My husband and oldest daughter shared a large rare beef pho. I shared the spicy beef noodles soup with my youngest daughter. The pho must have been good because my oldest said that was the best pho in the world she's had. The spicy beef noodles soup was flavorful and allowed for added spiciness if needed for individual preferences. The restaurant dining sounds was clean and service was nice. The place is decorated nicely with Vietnamese theme lamp shades and artwork on the walls. Reasonable pricing and portions. Going with 3 stars. Here's why: Pho was good. Not the best I've had, but good. Fulfilled my craving. As we were finishing up, about 30-minutes before closing time, the mopping of the floor began. The cleaner being used was so intense smelling that it totally stopped me from finishing my meal. I don't think it was intentional as the mopping was happening several feet away by the front door/register but it was an overpowering scent that smelled like straight up chemicals. We could smell the cleaner after leaving. We won't go back as there is better pho in Philly and we wouldn't risk experiencing the mopping again! read more

Summer tofu rolls, white meat chicken pho, and great service! Love the location- easy to get to- and the parking is convenient and free. The chicken meat is real breast meat- fresh, and not frozen. If you have ever had that bagged white meat you know what I mean. I got us small bowls, which were ample in portion size. There's hoisin, oyster, and Maggi sauces at the table as well. The boys watched their 60" tv- there was a soccer game on- and enjoyed their bowls. This is the perfect antidote to allergies- both my boys left with clear nostrils and full tummies. Drove by so many times and decided to actually stop in for some takeout. Definitely doesn't look like much as it's located in a seemingly random location, but it was nice to not fight the parking wars (unlike when we go to lunch in the city on a typical Sunday afternoon). This is a very cute establishment. The owner converted an old diner to a cute decor Vietnamese restaurant. They're also very hospitable- we never met the owner per say, but his brother is a very nice and friendly man. The service is also very great. I love their Bún bò Huế! It's a special that I think they usually carry on the weekend and it hits the spot for me every time! It's not spicy, but it's well flavored! My husband also love their pho. Great meat to noodle ratio. We also had their summer rolls. They have their own hoisin sauce, no peanut butter - but still great. They also have Vietnamese ice coffee and Thai tea- regulars for us. I'm glad this place finally opened! The area needed an offering like this to give variety to the local food scene. There is plenty of parking on the street and in their parking lot. The inside is clean and welcoming, the staff is very nice and prompt with their service. I've been here twice so far .... they bring you out hot tea to start. The menu is on the smaller side and I hope they provide more options for Banh Mi in the future. The Grilled pork summer rolls were a tad chewy and repeated on me later. The ingredients were fresh, but I think it was the grilled pork that was more like a ground pork. I think I'll try their Crispy roll next time. Pho wise they offer a small and a large size. I tried the small House Special Pho which was a Beef soup with American Ginseng, Rare Rib Eye Steak, Well-done Flank, Brisket, Oxtail and Beef Ball. It was a big portion and enough for one sitting, the broth was tasty, (they could have added a tad more meat), but I was happy with it it overall. Flavors were fresh and the sides they provided were more than enough to spice it up a notch or give it additional flavoring if preferred. On a second trip I wanted to try one of several Banh Mi sandwiches on the menu. I tried the "Vietnamese Hoagie" - Ham, Pork Roll, Pate, Butter &Vegetable for $7.50. The bread wasn't as fresh or warm as I would have liked and flavor wise it was a tad bland. I hope they expand this part of the menu with more creative ingredients. It seemed too simple to me, some shredded carrots on top with a leaf or two of cilantro. It screamed give me more flavor. I had a delicious Mango fruit smoothie with the Banh Mi. It was fresh, on ice and tasty. The prices here are fair and I think the overall experience was worth it.
