Hands down the best pho in Philly! My husband & I are regulars here. We come here at least once a week if not twice a week. We are creatures of habit & order the same thing, nothing but pho for us. One of the owners knows it's our order without even seeing us. Is that a good or bad thing? LOL! Everyone at the restaurant is nice. Service is quick. The restaurant is cute & clean. Decorated to feel like the streets of VN. Plenty of parking in the front of the restaurant & also in the parking lot. They are opened at 10:30AM. Pho is YUMMILICIOUS!! The broth is consistent. You can tell that it has been simmered for hours! No MSG. No need for hoisin sauce. They have this in-house sate that they make. The sate gives the broth a nice kick, nothing too spicy though. Cafe Muoi - salted coffee: It is a little expensive but totally worth it. I like the little coffee jellies in the coffee. I would actually consider this an espresso. Not your average coffee. It is strong to the normal coffee drinkers. I LOVE it! Makes the hair on my arm stand up when I take my first sip. Quick story. I was down in ATL last week & tried some pho down there. I was so disappointed. The broth was sweet in a sugary way, no taste. Just blehhhh! Nothing compared to my Pho Philly back home! I also felt guilty, like I was cheating on PP. Order the pho! Chicken or beef pho are amazing! They do have other specials like Bun Bo Hue & Bun Rieu. Those are good too. They are a little bit more expensive but the quality is worth it. Tried this place randomly on a whim after searching for pho spots in the area & saw positive reviews. Very tasty. I tried the #13 (shrimp pho). I got the small, which is sufficient. If you have a large appetite, the large is substantially bigger for just $2 more. So good. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Parking is easy, good location, simple menu. I've only ever gotten takeout. I go here about once every week or 2 weeks since it is close by to my work. I tried the chicken pho when it had first opened. The portions were huge. Personally for me it was too salty - not sure if they could adjust the salt level. I have not ordered it since so unsure if that has changed. My go-to-order is the grilled chicken over rice. It's great. I've also noticed that they have Vietnamese bakery items on sale. I've never order any but thought it was a nice addition to the menu The staff are very friendly. My husband and I are in love with Pho and look for any opportunity to get to a new place. We were doing some house hunting and decided to stop for lunch at Pho Philly. The location looks pretty new and seems to be an old diner turned into a Pho spot. When we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. The menu described that the Chicken Pho (Phở Gà Đặc Biệt) would be a mixture of dark and white meat chicken which was fine by us -- I love dark meat in my Pho but my husband loves white meat. We ordered two bowls -- a large and small, a summer roll (Gỏi Cuốn) with shrimp only and two Thai pearl milk teas (Trà Thái Trân Châu). Everything came out very quickly and we jumped right in. The summer rolls and their peanut sauce were very tasty. I also used some fish sauce on mine because I love fish sauce and I love when Pho spots offer more sauces then just hoisin and Sriracha. We noticed immediately that we had both received white meat chicken only in our Pho. I felt bummed but I certainly should have specified my desire for dark meat which I will moving forward. We both thought the Pho was fine. Not our favorite and not our worse by far. Somewhere in the middle. We enjoyed using a bit of the Maggi-type seasoning they had on the table as well as the fish sauce and hoisin. All of the items to add to the Pho -- basil, bean sprouts, lime and jalepenos-- were super fresh and tasty. Honestly I gave them a 4 instead of 3 because the staff were extremely kind and checked on us so often. We loved the amount of care that went into our lunch experience. We may just visit Philly Pho again to try out some of the other tasty menu items they have to offer. read more

2nd time eating here. The first was back in the fall of 2022 and then today while in town for lacrosse. Place does not disappoint. Pork vermicelli was amazing! I've had pho at atleast 50 restaurants (no exaggeration) had it in multiple countries, various states, home made and even private chefs and this is hands down one of the best recipes I've ever tasted. I searched Pho near us on Google and the map lead us to Pho Philly .. literally 1 min off I-95! Very very cool small business, family run vibes in this restaurant. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was rich and sweet as it should be; the spring rolls were plump and tasty! The star of the show was the beef pho. Huge bowl, loaded with all the usual rice noodle, aromatics and lots of tasty, tender beef! First taste of just the broth went ahead and let me know that this is in fact was a broth made with love and lots of experience! First time trying Pho. Wife was well versed in Pho and has been here and other Pho places before. Took her recommendation and had the Beef and Brisket Pho, and it was delicious, contained a lot of meat, and would definitely order it again. We also tried the spring roll, fried shrimp roll and seafood roll. The first two rolls were good, the last one I could not get past the rubbery skin of the roll, but that's just me, it tasted good, just didn't like the texture. The Spring rolls had no flavor and were very bland. The Pho, unfortunately, didn't meet my expectations either. The noodles were thick and not right; they were so large they almost looked like Udon noodles. If I had to guess based on taste and appearance, I'd say I got an old or very old batch. Additionally, the meat was not to my liking. Despite the generous portions, the overall food quality left much to be desired. I do not understand the many raving reviews that led me here. Ambiance: It's a larger location, well-lit with natural light, which adds to its welcoming atmosphere. The appearance still has remnants of the older spots. Looks like they converted an old dinner to Pho restaurant. It's not the most upscale setting, it is clean and comfortable enough for a casual dining experience. Service: The staff was great, and their service was a positive aspect of my visit. The food came out in a decent amount of time, and the staff followed up appropriately to ensure a pleasant experience. It wasn't for me. IMO the food quality needs work. Heard great things so decided to get take out and try a few things here. The pho itself is ok nothing special. It's not really much different than other places in and around Philly so I was a bit let down. I think they also forgot my bean sprouts and sauces but not a big deal. The vermicelli noodles and the broken rice were both good. I liked the grilled pork that comes with it but a family member said the pork had too much fat so depends on your preference. To me it was good! Another family member said their pork chop was a bit dry but I didn't get to try it. Everything else in them was good (egg roll, egg, quiche, shrimp etc). FYI be aware they charge 4% extra for using your card! I feel like a lot of places do this now and it's probably either that or raise prices across the board, so just make sure to bring cash. read more
