Should've gone to Jimmy Johns instead... Pho was in the sweet side. For good pho, Pho Belmarasia or ones in Federal are much better.

Across the board, not bad. Nice and polite staff, clean restaurant, good prices, okay food. Good location for those in the Belmar area. But in the end, not in my Top 10 (or even 15) of best Pho places in town. Every place on Federal has them beat. read more

I LOVE this place!! it is a few blocks from my office so I eat here frequently. The vegetable broth is delicious and they top the bowl with roasted garlic! Vegetables are perfectly cooked and plentiful. The employees are friendly and I am eating my huge bowl of delicious soup in no time! be aware....lunch time is extremely busy. read more

I was a fan and it's the best PHO broth I've ever had...until about 30 minutes after I ate and I began shaking and my heart started beating fast, I felt so sick...and then I remembered I'M ALLERGIC TO MSG! OR WHATEVER THEY PUT IN THERE to make it taste so good! I wish I could go back there day after day but whatever they use in there to make it taste so good is SO bad for me...Not sure if anyone else out there has severe allergic reactions to MSG but I can't and won't go back...what a bummer. read more

Happy to have this pho place and the other across the street, west of Federal. I'm lame and always get the same thing (combo vermicelli bowl) whenever I go out for Vietnamese food. I actually think I like Pho Saigon Basil better than Pho Belmarisa (across the street), only advantage to Belmarisa is that they deliver (when they have enough staff). I like any time of Pho style pads, so my friend is lucky enough to live next to Pho Saigon Basil. She made me try the Grilled Pork Plate. Definitely lacked a bit of sauce, but other than that, each bite was extremely chewy and very inviting to my taste. Aside from that, I'm mainly here for the fried banana and ice cream. I have eaten here a lot over the years and have never had a bad meal. The grilled meats, the Pho, the boba smoothies they are the best. Try the Avocado!!! They use real avocado not powder. This place is really tasty! When you walk in, you are greeted b a very polite family who is happy to seat you and take care of all your needs. They start by bringing out water and a plate of alfalfa sprouts topped with basil. After that, you receive your delicious main course. I recommend pho with steak and shrimp. Great place and service. The first time I ordered takeout from there, they gave me twice what I ordered, put it in a giant box, and it was all delicious. I ordered take out again tonight and was unsure if the bag I was handed included the pho I ordered, so I asked to make sure and it was apparently chicken pho instead of beef. The manager happily got the kitchen to bring out a whole new order of beef pho in 5 minutes, and I still got to keep the original order! I come here every week because is clean, delicious and they have Vietnamese coffee . The Bún bò Hu is a dish that I enjoy here (a lot heavier and tasty that pho). I enjoy the vegetable pho with beef broth and a side of grilled chicken. They can be very busy at lunch time. read more

This is by far my favorite pho place in the world! They are friendly and make it a point to remember repeat customers. Their pho is incredible and quick. I often call ahead for a to go order and I am always greeted warmly on the phone and by name when I come in to pick it up. The service is oddly slow and each time we visited, no one would greet us or let us know that it'll be a few moments before we're seated; it's like they ignore your existence until they want to seat you. The food isn't bad. We usually get the rice combination and a random pho bowl. Portion size is good and food is decent. The boba smoothie drinks are balanced in terms of taste--not too sweet and not too bland. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit though because of the slow service; however, when they do serve you, they're generally pretty nice. read more

We love this place. The food is delicious, made with high quality ingredients, and the portions are quite generous for the prices. The boba drinks are awesome too. I had a small error when one of my to-go meals didn't make it in the bag, and James (who we think is the owner perhaps...?) told me to come back again for another one, free of charge. Horrible!!! Pho is worst anywhere in US and I have enjoyed plenty. Had to ask if the cook knew what he was doing because it was so bad. Broth too salty, noodles bound together, jalepenos cut too thick. First time I ever felt I needed to wash my mouth out after eating a meal. Spring rolls rolled too tight, not soaked long enough before rolling or they were not fresh. Maybe they have other people in kitchen on weekends but avoid this place on Tuesdays. read more

This is my favorite Pho place. We used to go to Pho 95 but this is closer to home. The broth is the best I've had anywhere. Worst pho place I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. So I personally like my meat cooked ALL THE WAY. I politely asked them to cook the meat thoroughly through, because just the sight of raw meat grosses me out. Every pho place I go to, Pho 79, Pho 95, Pho Ta, Pho Vietnam , Peking Tokyo all have accommodated me, no problem. This place must have been pissed I even asked. They came back out, pho in hand, and on top laid a bloody mess of meat. It wasn't even raw at this point; it was so bloody, it was practically alive. Our waiter then told me to dip my chopsticks in the raw cow carcass, and to basically cook my own meat. My dining partner who doesn't mind uncooked meat was grossed out because it looked like they intentionally put extra blood on top of my bowl. She needed extra sauce for the noodle bowl and the waiter never once came to check on us. When I went to pay I told the guys with glasses how pissed I was and how disgusted I was...he didn't say a word. I spent one hour of my wages on this crap. I work in BelmarShopping center and eat pho at least weekly. Too bad I can't go here. read more

This restaurant is excellent. I eaten in and carried out, both were good. Great food for a reasonable price. I always get the Well Done Brisket and Rare Steak Noodle Bowl with Extra Meat. If you are nursing a hangover the Pho is to way to go. The carry out is quicker than dining in. Sometimes the service when dining in is slow but the food does not disappoint. Careful with the jalapeños that come with the meal, they look like a normal fresh jalapeño but those thing will light you up. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I've always wanted to try Pho, but after hearing that it's traditionally made with tripe, I tried the seafood Pho instead. The shrimp was good and I loved the presentation of the bean sprouts and basil, but after trying shrimp balls for the first time I've decided that they just aren't for me. My husband and I just ate there with my mom and it was soooo good. We live in the area and had never tried it before and decided to give it a go. The broth had such a good flavor to it!
