    Pho and seafood (August 2024)
    Thuy V.

I believe it's under new management as of August 2024. They have seafood dishes now along with traditional Vietnamese food (pho, rice dishes). I enjoyed the pho but noted the protein was not too plentiful. I enjoyed the broth. Hubby got crab legs and mussels and was tasty and average cost. We will try again!

Been exploring more of our "local" spots in Fairfax and discovered this spot on our search for pho in the area. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is super clean and very cute. The staff is super friendly and made sure to ask if we would like forks or chopsticks. We used chopsticks, but I just thought it made the place feel more welcoming to people who may want to try Vietnamese food. I LOVE that they had different versions of the rice paper wrapped "summer rolls" I'm allergic to shrimp so I was excited to order the winter rolls which had grilled pork instead. They also offer bean sprouts fresh or steamed which I thought was something I hadn't been offered elsewhere. Great find in our area!

Ordered takeout here. More expensive than other pho spots in the area, but the pho broth was decent, and I don't have any complaints with the overall order.

This place is so good. Staff was so nice. Food was amazing. Has way more options then you need. Five stars

Worst food quantity and quality. Ordered shaky beef and it was like a $3 ingredient list for that much of a portion and they charged $16. Literally one slice of tomato , few cucumbers, a tenth of a lettuce. All the veggies were dried out. The beef was so small as you can see. I could have done a better job. This dish looked like leftovers that they just threw together. The rice was pretty dried out as well. Note to self: don't come back

Did a carry out for some pho and fried spring rolls. Spring rolls were pretty good, they should offer it with some lettuce. Very tasty when you wrap it. Pho was decent, flavorful and very rich because of how much fat was in the broth. I really don't like it as oily but it's ok. They don't skimp on meats but I wish I had more garnish in my to go box.

BEST PHO EVER!!!! And and amazing service! They have an extensive menu, we have not found anything that has disappointed. Did I mention BEST PHO EVER!!!! Like nothing comes close to it and we been to many.

Food was delicious, fast, and fresh! Sweet family owned. Service was attentive and excellent. I came for the pho, which was hot, flavorful and had a good size portion of brisket. Server recommended great entrees for those not eating pho. The Shaky beef clay pot was very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorfully grilled. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Our new fav restaurant!

Good pho, tender beef, but the restaurant's space needs improvement. The staff is attentive and the food is served hot. Will return!

The pho here is so flavorful and comforting. The broth is rich and aromatic, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Everything tastes fresh, and it feels like a warm hug in a bowl. I could eat this anytime.

Like other reviews have mentioned, extremely small portions that do not justify the higher than usual prices. Both the pho and rice dishes had very little meat, and the pho had very few noodles. Service was lacking as well. There were very few customers for a Sunday night. Would not return and do not recommend.

The from scratch broth, pleasant aroma from sour bamboo, crunchy string beans (wish there was an option to add!!) were phenomenal. Plus the tender yet collagenous beef shank cooked to perfection was phenomenal. Absolutely stick to your bones without the usual heaviness with big spicy noodle soups. No MSG headaches here, all the flavor is homegrown. The stinky tofu was also fried to perfection, with a side of Taiwanese kimchi. All the food was thoughtfully prepared and executed. My party of 6 frequents another AYCE kbbq restaurant so we were reluctant since this place does not offer all you can eat, but the Marinated Combo and the Pork Combo with sides were plenty to feed the 6 of us. We ordered one additional appetizer, the tteokbokki was a generous serving making it worth the $16, and it was a mild spice level. We were left very satisfied with the meal and service and have plans to return! We visited at half past noon on a Sunday and were seated right away with no reservation. No issues with parking.

My partner and I were seated quickly, but it took about 20 minutes before a server came over to greet us. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, and we repeatedly tried to flag someone down but were ignored. Meanwhile, we noticed other tables receiving almost immediate service after being seated, which honestly left a sour taste in our mouths before our meal even started. Once we were finally able to get a server's attention, we placed our order and everything else came out pretty quickly. From there, we received consistent service while our meats were being cooked on the grill. Still, the initial experience of being ignored for so long was frustrating and really took away from the overall experience. The menu is also pretty pricey for the quality, and unfortunately, I don't think it's worth the price. There are better KBBQ options in the area, so I wouldn't recommend this location. Definitely disappointing, especially as someone who enjoys their first location in MD.
