    Spicy Chicken curry was delicious
    John D.

4.5 out of 5 stars. We shall round up to 5. Parking may be limited. The interior may be on the verge of a hole in the wall restaurant. The service was very ordinary. However... the food was very hot. There was a sense of pride felt from the cooks in the kitchen. We enjoyed crab cheese wontons for an appetizer. The teriyaki chicken with veggies for one meal. And the spicy chicken curry for the other meal. The food portions were wonderful. Enough to take home a healthy amount for a second round. Our server packaged our meals when we were done. We will definitely be back for more in the future. It was not packed with people inside. It's probably a hidden gem to many in the area.

the central pho shrimp here is so authentic, tasty, and flavorful... it's the perfect meal for a cold day or for when you're feeling under the weather. i've been coming here for 10 years and the food/service never disappoints. HIGHLY recommend!

Two words, Panang Curry Two more words, Order it Two more words, Enjoy it Two more words, So Delicious Stopped by this unassuming little spot before heading over to the Newman Center and was pleasantly surprised. It's a nice, easy going atmosphere and a great location. The older gentleman who waited on us was super nice and friendly. He brought out our orders within mere minutes of ordering and the food was piping hot and spot on for flavor. My Panang Curry was all that and more. I also really wanted a Jackfruit Boba, but didn't have any room left. Pro Tip: They only have well drinks, no beer so be prepared if you're wanting to get your Kirin on.

Central (spicy) pho with rare beef

Best pho in Denver. I have been going here for 5+ years and the owners/servers always greet me with a smile, then proceed to serve some bomb ass pho, very quickly. Good vibes in this place, I live across town now and still commute for their pho

Rare beef and brisket pho, they didn't give sprouts, basil or jalapeños---what gives?

I'm still conflicted about this place. I had two experiences this past weekend, the first one with dining in and the other one with delivery (hey, when you want pho, you want pho right?) and this place is pretty decent. Pros: Lots of pho variety Right off University so easy access for DU students Delivery within a three mile radius Reasonably priced but definitely not the cheapest I've seen in Denver They have regular pho and Central Pho, it's spicier cousin. Considerate with their packaging of pho for celivery Cons: No parking They didn't serve sprouts, jalapenos, basil or lime with the pho when I ordered in, I was confused by this. Speaking of confused, even though super friendly, the staff seemed confused with what tables ordered. When ordering the Central pho, it was ridiculously oily and greasy seeping through the delivery bag Pho seemed to be missing a certain zing. So both experiences were ok but definitely not the best pho in town. I'm still confused why they don't serve you all the fixings in the restaurant to doctor up your pho the way you want and why the Central pho was so greasy. I will probably come back here again due to proximity to me but don't think I will be craving Pho Saigon Star specifically. PS-On the receipt it says "Thai Basil Noodle" or something of that like--whats that about??

Omg!!! The food here was amazing! One of the best meals I have had in a while! Everything was so…read moreflavorful and perfectly cooked! My favorite was the French toast, crunchy on the outside and warm, soft, and savory on the inside. It was also good I usually don't like anything with coconut and this has it in there. Never would've guessed that's what I was eating because of the way they incorporated all of the other ingredients! Me and my friends ate the ants on a tree, the Korean chicken, sweet and sour chicken, the potatoes, French toast, and the Korean corn dog. We shared everything and all were very full by the end. It was a great atmosphere to have a delicious dinner with friends!

Disappointed. 69th birthday dinner on a Saturday evening at 6pm, party of 4. The food was decent to…read moregood but service was spotty, and our server was a little on the rude side. She barely acknowledged the birthday person in our party after I announced it, she awkwardly said oh and kept going with her intro spiel. The crab Rangoon was ok, it had a good filling but the wrapper was a little chewy. The spicy fried chicken appetizer special was dry. They wanted extra $ for mayo sauce, ridiculous. We tried the lamb, it had bits of bone and gristle but it was tasty and a decent amount of spice. The pork ribs were very tender and delicious. The sweet and "sour" chicken was not sour at all, it was a honey sweet sauce with a hint of spice. The birthday girl specifically wanted a good sweet and sour chicken, this is the reason I chose this place, in addition to having gluten free options for the one celiac in our party. Everything comes on plastic dishes. Not sure if the owners are aware of the toxic leaching that occurs when you put hot food into plastic, but I am and try to avoid plastic like the plague. Big turnoff, especially at a pricey full service restaurant. No candle on our mediocre expensive dessert, let alone even a happy birthday, and it was placed in front of the celiac who wasn't partaking. A "fresh baked" ice cream sandwich. I could make this at home for less than we paid and it would be far better. We were kicked out after 90 minutes even though we just spent $200 and were getting ready to leave anyway. There were no parties waiting for tables, so it seemed a little unnecessary. I didn't catch it until after I wrote in the tip, but they snuck in a 10% service fee that I tipped 20% on. Was not a special occasion experience, almost seemed like they were offended we brought gifts to celebrate. I really was hoping to find a good Chinese restaurant in the Denver area that we can frequent, but this is not it. We won't be back.
