This is a solid pho place. Theres plenty of parking and barely ever a wait at the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is pretty big and there's a sun covered patio also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our group was seated rather quickly after getting inside. And we got menus and water right away. Service is quick and friendly. We ordered a couple pho dac biet, pho with brisket, pho ga, pho em be (kids), egg rolls, and a hu tieu tron. The pho dac biet were good! The kids is the same broth but just noodles and meat balls but still very good. The pho ga was definitely lighter and some may like that better. The hu tieu tron was large even though I ordered a regular; it served two people. Although, it was rather salty. The egg rolls on the other hand were bland. I think we found our go to spot for pho that's not in South San Jose.

My cousin got the sugarcane and spring rolls. The spring rolls came in quick. There has to be a reason when we just ordered 2-3 minutes ago. My eyes can tell they're dry. She only had one roll and played with the second. She didn't touch the third. She didn't mentioned anything good with the spring rolls. She did however finish her sugarcane drink. One thing about my cousin is that she loves spring rolls so the dish was disappointing to her. I, on the otherhand, got to try the pho; I got the 3 meat variety and added bone marrow. I feel like it's generic pho. The broth is what stands out. It's not too salty but well balanced. They put a lot of onions, which is not okay with me. I wouldn't go here again because of the price. I can still find good inexpensive pho. Maybe if I'm in a pickle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a spacious place so I think it's handicapped friendly towards the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The register is cramped for my liking. Spring rolls were refreshing and the rice paper was super sticky and chewy. Soup was not remarkable and the brisket was a bit dry. - Dry Hu Tieu: this option came with chicken, pork and beef, and a small soup on the side. However even I make a better dry hu tieu! I honestly think they can easily elevate this dish with better add-ons and dip.
After trying a handful of different pho restaurants in the past few months, I think PSJ has to be my favorite pho spot in the bay area. My usual order is a Pho San Jose with regular noodles (fresh noodles are an extra charge). The broth is always so rich in flavor and we're always given a decent amount of meat. Service is always super fast - we are seated immediately, order, and our food is out within 5 minutes. Perfect for a quick and cheap dinner.
The service here is quick but they do seem a little understaffed. What matters is the food and the broth was a bit oily than what I would like. Other than that, the broth had very good flavor and the meat was tender. I just wish they gave more noodle though. I got the regular bowl and I feel like they could've given more noodle.
the pho tai and Nam was very delicious most important tender and would come here every once in a while service was also very good they served the pho really fast than I expected like the other restaurants. Ordered Bun Tit Nun to go for dinner. It is a simple, delicious Vietnamese dish that is super easy to eat especially for those who are getting introduced to Vietnamese cuisine. It comes with noodles, beef, greens, pickled radish and carrots, eggrolls, and fish sauce. My only complaint and reasoning for the low stars is I requested NO PEANUTS due to a severe allergy in the household. Unfortunately, they included peanuts (I should have checked before leaving.) However, when it comes to accommodations especially with a common food allergy such as peanuts; I find it pretty vital to ensure there is no cross contamination and ESPECIALLY not including in the dish.
I ordered the pho ga with pickled onions on the side, and it really delivered. The broth was light but deeply flavorful, not greasy, and tasted like it had been simmered properly instead of rushed. The chicken was tender, and the pickled onions added a perfect bright, tangy contrast that cut through the richness. Highly recommend adding them if you like balance in your pho. We also shared the crispy fried shrimp, which came out hot, crunchy, and not oily. Simple, well-executed, and great for sharing while waiting on pho. Exactly what you want when you're craving pho. I'd happily come back!
Long overdue review. On Saturday. April 18, at approximately 6:30pm, we were seated and treated to a great meal. Unfortunately, I left my Hearing Aid case behind on the table. However, in the case was not my hearing aid but my wedding ring! I followed up with a gentleman on Monday, April 20, but he indicated no one turned it in. Followed up a week later and a lady informed me no one turned it in. If anyone has seen this case and is hanging onto it, please message me here. There is a reward attached to it. Picture of the case attached. I have been coming to Pho San Jose since it opened and am confident if management had the case they would let me know. Either the waiter noticed the ring inside and hanging onto it or patron picked it. Food is great, but a few too many time they have ran out of Fresh Noodles and this is disappointing. Why they charge more if you use credit card is also puzzling. Prices already increased from when the establishment opened and imposing a fee to use a common payment option (credit card) is an inconvenience.

Sandwiched among a variety of cafes and restaurants in this large lot, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pho San Jose hosts locals and visitors alike to their small, yet comfortable dining space brightly lit by the sunlight coming through their windows and the ambient light fixtures hanging from the ceiling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the wall to your immediate left as you walk in, you'll find the trendy faux grass/hedge with their name lit up in the center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As you walk in, you may find that it's packed and requires you to put down your name on the waitlist. We came in for an early dinner and the place was pretty sparse so we were seated right away. We were given waters and menus to peruse but we noticed they also had menus accessible via the QR code at each table. The menu was pretty simple with starters, pho/noodles, rice plates, and desserts/beverages. As a first timer, I selected the signature pho sharing its namesake. It's the typical combo that has a bit of everything. When you order, the default size is their regular but you can opt for the smaller size by request. Add ons are extra of course, but I found the regular portions were plenty enough. In addition, after placing our order, we were given a plate of bean sprouts, basil, and limes as toppings to our pho. While we waited, we prepared our chopsticks, spoons, napkins, and sauces which were all self service at each table. When the massive bowls came, everything was submerged in soup. One sip of this nectar was the cue for my stomach to open up and to start chowing down. The noodles were still bunched up when the bowl came so we did the typical dance of spreading the bowl with the toppings, mixing it all up to keep things cooking, and tasting the soup as you smack your lips in anticipation of the meal in front of you. My bowl of the Pho San Jose was loaded with flanks, brisket, riblet, steak and tendon. It was the perfect amount of meat and relatively lean on all the cuts. For a carnivore, this bowl will satisfy your hunger! The amount of noodles was just right and I slurped up most of my soup to top off my full belly. The staff were pretty friendly and quick with their service. They all seem to be multi tasking to be as efficient as possible to keep the place churning and clean. For payment, I had walked up to the register toward the back of the shop. They offer a cash discount, otherwise you pay a 3.75% service fee. For gratuity, they automatically include it for parties of 6 or more. The price is pretty high, however I do feel like pho prices have been skyrocketing for the past few years. You'll still get decent value out of your meal, but the price point will prevent me from eating out here regularly. Overall, Pho San Jose is worth a visit if you're a fan of pho and would like to get a good hearty helping of protein with your bowl. The quality is high but so is the price and if you're looking to dine on a budget, it may be challenging here. If you're in the area and trying to get a hot bowl of soup and noodles, Pho San Jose should be highly considered!
I came here for the first time a year ago since I saw people recommending it on TikTok. But unfortunately it wasn't quite memorable and the broth lacked flavor. They also no longer had the brisket pho around when we went...one of the reasons we wanted to go. I really wanted to give Pho San Jose another chance and wow right when I tasted the broth FLAVOR. Also large pieces of tender tendon. The boneless rib meat was super tender as well. My boyfriend got the smoked brisket pho (not pictured) and the broth & meat is Smokey throughout. I was very happy this time with the quality and variety of food. They've redeemed themselves as a place I'd revisit. The Shrimp Doughnut has a very great crunch and flavor. Also not pictured the pickled onion & sugar cane which I recommend to order. I look forward to come back!

I've had hella people tell me this place is hella good. And they weren't lying. It's located in a strip mall so there's hella parking. Which is good because the road is hella busy. We ended up coming here after an event and was starving. The service was quick and they were hella fast with taking our orders and serving us. We ended up getting pho, but with fresh noodles. Ordered from this place a few times now and really appreciate the taste of the broth. It's clean and fresh. Was a tad bit oilier this last time, but still very tasty. Service was great. Paid and waited about 10mins for the food to be ready. Packaged nicely. First time being inside the restaurant - nice decor. Looks clean. Will likely eat in next time. read more
NOV2025 Came through for a remedial meal with partner and friends. Reservations made it easy, plenty of parking in the area. Service checked in with us here and there. It was relatively busy at the time for lunch but there wasn't too much noise despite that. Food came out quick for the table. I had gotten the PSJ smoked brisket with fresh noodles, a side of oxtail, and we had the spring rolls to share. Was in the mood for oxtail but really wanted to try the smoke. The meat was well prepared, nothing dry in the least. The broth was solid, not heavy in the least. The brisket had a light smoke flavor and wasn't chewy in the least adding nicely to the dish. The oxtail on the side was tender also, and was great as an addition for meal 2 throwing it all together. Their spicy mix on the side also has a deceiving kick so if you haven't tried it before, start with a little. Certainly diifferent, this was great for the recovery. Pho San Jose is a solid spot for amazing pho - the fresh noodles here have the perfect chew, unlike other soots that have mushy pho noodles. I love the tai, nam, gau. Finally making my way to Pho SJ. This is located in a shopping center strip mall. Plenty of parking. The venue was nicely decorated inside and clean. I came during Friday lunch and was very busy, sign of a delicious restaurant. On this day there was a woman who came in to sing Christmas carol music. A nice touch during the holiday season. Not sure if that was by design or just a special day. Now for the good part. The Pho I ordered came with fresh delicious ingredients. It was steaming hot which is a preference of mine when eating soup. The beef was tender and delicious. Now would I come back. Definitely! The food was very good. First time for me. My son asked to dine here because he likes the food. I was expecting the food to be delicious but was disappointed instead. The prices were expensive too. FOOD: Spring Rolls $12.00 - 3.5/5 stars. - I do say though the spring roll skins were good. It was chewy and sticky. - It had a lot of lettuce and not enough rice noodles in it. Needs more rice noodles. - The dipping sauce was pretty good too. Noodle soup, Pho San Jose $17.95 Regular size - 3/5 stars. It has lean and fatty brisket, tendon, boneless riblet, rare steak, and flank steak. - The rice noodles were not chewy. - Soup needs more beef/beef bone flavor. Vietnamese Iced Coffee $6.00 - 3.5/5 stars. Good flavor but too sweet for me. SERVICE: Service was 2/5. My son asked for more water and the waiter kind of didn't want to refill our cups. Wished they would leave a bottle of water on our table then we didn't have to ask. Pay the bill at the cash register area. If you pay with credit card, have to pay a 3.75% service fee. It's been a minute since I've visited here and I'm glad I came in! I was reminded how good it is here. The soup is piping hot, the broth is flavorful and delicious! The noodles are loose here, not clumped together like a hockey puck at other Phó joints. It only takes 10 seconds to blanch the noods, why not do it? The digs are modern decor with an outside patio. This place was pretty packed so you know it's going to be good. We waited for 40 minutes because we had a big party. The restaurant is very clean and service was great! The staff were very nice and patient with us. I ordered the chicken pho! The most tender chicken I ever had! My pho was so delicious that I ate it all! Definitely a good pho restaurant! Finally found great pho in the Berryessa area! I enjoyed their Pho Tu Chon (variety bowl). The three meats that I chose were their fatty brisket, tendon, and marrow. This bowl was a different creature with that marrow, enhancing that umami-ness. My next visit got even better with the PSJ Smoked Brisket Pho. In my world of pho, this is one of the best simply because it's different. Pho SJ has pushed all the boundaries with this bowl ...with clear smoky broth, a tinge of sweetness, the different onions, and a good amount of tender & fatty smoked brisket. I found this recommendation on Reddit and my god, this is my new pho spot! The broth is sooooo flavorful and each bowl comes with so much meat. I've been to many pho spots in the South Bay and haven't found "the one" for me, but Pho San Jose has become THAT SPOT for me. I ordered the smoked brisket pho, which I've never seen at a pho spot before so I was curious. My friend and I also shared the spring rolls, which were fresh but nothing special. The pho however?! The broth was so rich and aromatic, and the fresh noodles really put it over the top because they're thicker than normal vermicelli noodles. The brisket had a perfect balance of not too meaty, not too fatty and I also wasn't gulping cups of water after. Their Vietnamese lime soda was the perfect pairing to wash everything down- it was super tart and refreshing! Only downside for me is that they're not located closer to me, so gotta make the drive out to North SJ to get a good bowl of pho. I WILL be making the drive! read more
We always get treated so well at Pho San Jose! My daughter and I have come here twice and both times, the staff spends time catering to her and making sure she has enough napkins, the right silverware, and a sippy cup. My daughter loves Pho! She always eats all of her noodles from here. She loves the fresh thick noodles and she loves the lumpia from here too. I love when they bring you a plate of basil and jalapeño! It's always so fresh and I want to be able to come back once a week. The restaurant is always clean and there are options to sit outside. The staff is so chill and allows you to pick your seat when there are options. I love places that treat you like neighbors and family who care about you immediately. This is one of the few homey restaurants that I can guarantee will take care of me and my daughter. read more
Food: Pho Tui Chuon and Egg Rolls Overall: One of the few Pho places that my family likes to order togo from. I decied to eat here for lunch with my sister after a long night of drinking. We arrived around 2pm and it wasn't crowded at all. They took our orders quickly and within 10-15 minutes, our food was out. The egg rolls are good; though I don't know if 4 small eggrolls are worth $9. I got the Pho bo vien (meatballs), tai (rare beef), and sach (tripe) with regular pho noodles. The soup was light and there is a very good amount of pho noodles and meat. read more
The restaurant is spacious, and we were seated right away in a comfortable spot away from the sunset glare. We came for an early family dinner and enjoyed a smooth dining experience. Service was quick. We ordered the Pho San Jose and the Braised Pork Ribs Rice--both were flavorful and satisfying. The pho broth was balanced, not overly salty or heavy with MSG. The meat was sliced very thin and evenly. My toddler especially loved the braised pork; it was tender, easy to chew, and not too salty. The plaza has plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. Overall, a pleasant meal and we'll definitely come back again. read more

Bone Marrow, u can either dip or add, so it's up to you & how your feeling on the day you visit! more noodles without paying extra! whaaat! Yes Please, especially when your have littles to feed too. Located in a plaza, so there's plenty of parking. It looks small from outside, but enough seating, inside or a little outside & depending on what time you go, they tend to get pretty busy. If your about that Meat Pho! this is the place to check out. Very friendly, fast & attentive staff, so a Plus Plus for me Will definitely be back to try more on the menu. read more

Got the pho combo. The soup is piping hot which I enjoy. Lots of green onions and toppings available. The only thing that isn't my favorite is that fresh noodles are a dollar extra, whereas other places give an option of fresh or thin noodles without charge. This is one of my family's favorite pho places to go to! I asked for extra cilantro so that's why my meal looks like this haha. Probably one of the top five places in San Jose for pho. I love that the soup comes piping hot and the quality of meat is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is really clean and neatly decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One downside is that it is a little bit heavy on the MSG, so be prepared to be drinking water throughout your day!
