Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was almost empty. Didn't matter, that pho broth was hitting. It's rich too. Prob the smallest bowl of pho I've eaten but it's packed and theyre not light with the tripe and tendons thank goodness. They also had all these faded photos with customers - at first I think they were celebrities but they were actually the regulars - it was very sweet Extremely quick service.

These are the spring rolls and amazing peanut sauce. Also in the photo is the plate full of goodies that go in your Pho .

The Pho is amazing! I got the number 1, and it was more than I could eat after having some spring rolls for an appetizer. The service is very good and organic. Great people work there to make the best pho broth and dishes. The dining room is cozy and family oriented. There's parking In front and in back. This is a regular stop for us.

Went to a local pho spot my friend lives next to that he goes to regularly. We had our orders taken promptly and the food came out fast and hot. I got the Chicken Pho. I upgraded to the large bowl and the price was still very reasonable. I'm unsure if they use beef or chicken broth in the chicken pho since my stomach started hurting immediately after eating. Overall good food for the price.

Pho So Muy Bien!!! By far the best Pho spot in Southern California. Nestled in Pacific Beach, pho sao bien offers delicious variety of pho options. My go to is the #11 steak and brisket. Bowls come in regular or large but regular is certainly enough. Add some chili, Jalapeño, mint leaves and you're on your way to a wonderful meal. Great friendly staff and service, $3 happy hour beers at 3pm. Not big indoor dining but sufficient. Tiny lot in front so parking is limited. Great for hangovers or sickness cures too!

Amazing food! Amazing service. The ambiance was calming and perfect. I enjoyed my experience.

Nice pho and a good choice for a quick lunch. I felt the broth was a little overly heavy on cinnamon. If they pare it back a bit and also add a bit more meat/beef offal to the soup it would be perfect 5-stars for me.

Pho Sao Bien is a good solid stop for vietnamese food. I have been going for years and really like their soup stock. They give a generous amount of noodles and veggies on to go orders as well. My two small cons are the parking (Garnet is busy and their lot in front can be hard to get in and out of) and the packing for to go. They only give you a thin bag for transporting which can get messy with soup.

My favorite place!!!! Super authentic & local spot. The pho and egg rolls are hands down the best in town

Ordered the bbq pork viet sandwich. Decent size. I called in to order and my order was already ready. I like how they gave the veggies on side so they dont get soggy.

Pretty poor pho. Really only had frozen veggies defrosted. Spring rolls were ok. But honestly not the best option here.

They provide great service and exceptional food options- The absolute star of the menu are the spicy garlic wings. These deep-fried, house-marinated wings are tossed in a sweet, savory, and aggressively spicy chili-satay oil, often served with a side of ranch 10/10. They are finger licking good! I flock here for their wagyu korean-style short ribs (topped with caramelized onions and cilantro), they are perfectly tender and caramelized- chef's kiss! My wife enjoys their house-special fried rice with beef, shrimp, and chinese sausage 10/10. Absolutely delicious! They also have a great selection of IPA's- my personal favorite is the Mike Hess Into The Sunset Blood Orange. It's crisp, refreshing, and hits the palate every time 10/10. Definitely worth a visit! I know people who love this place so much that it is part of their regular rotation. Me being born and raised in San Diego without ever trying it almost felt like a crime. I finally decided it was time to pay a visit. We came with a party of five. The seating setup was a little different from what I expected. We ended up at a long picnic table style booth that we shared with another couple. It honestly was not an issue since there was still plenty of space. It was just a different concept for me. The servers were super friendly and bubbly. They moved fast too. Our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Char-grilled Beef, Eggroll & Cold Vermicelli Noodles, Fresh Spring Rolls, the famous Spicy Garlic Wings plus the Korean Beef Short Ribs. The Fresh Spring Rolls were good. They were filled with shrimp, thinly sliced pork, lettuce, vermicelli noodles, basil plus bean sprouts. The peanut plum hoisin sauce definitely carried them though. Add some of their chili sauce into it too. Delicious. Now for the Spicy Garlic Wings. I know everyone raves about these, but honestly, based on the ones we got, I feel like I would rather have Wingstop. They were really dry. I even asked a friend who has been here before if that was normal. Apparently they are usually not like that, so maybe we just caught them on a bad day or they spent a little too much time in the fryer. Either way, they had definitely lost a lot of their moisture. The flavor was there, but the dryness made it hard for them to really stand out to me. My favorite was easily the Korean Beef Short Ribs. They came out sizzling over caramelized onions with a generous amount of marinated meat. Great flavor. Great texture. Delicious. This was probably the one dish I would order again without thinking twice. The Char-grilled Beef, Eggroll & Cold Vermicelli Noodles were fine. The noodles were a little too bouncy and chewy for me. They almost tasted slightly underdone. The grilled beef had great flavor though. Once everything was mixed with the fish sauce, it came together much better.

The restaurant is very trendy and a perfect spot for a date or intimate dinner with a small party. For appetizer we ordered house-made baguette and French butter, duck liver pate, and kanpachi crudo. The baguette with the French butter was so fresh and tasty. It was hard to stop eating it. The pate was also delicious and the kanpachi crudo was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We also ordered the crispy chicken wings, house made egg noodles and smoked dry aged duck for entrees to share. The winds were very flavorful and the sauces that came with it were a great pairing. The noodles the smoked duck was a great size for sharing and came with lots of veggies and sides. The duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. The noodles were yummy but were outshined by the rest of the dishes. We ordered the pickled papaya and marinated cucumbers for sides. In hindsight we definitely had too much food and probably didn't need the sides but both were great compliments to the other dishes. For cocktails I ordered the nuoc mami but ended up preferring the water buffalo. Both were good but I did really enjoy the clarified pho reduction in the water buffalo. Service was friendly and attentive. They packaged up our menu nicely as we were celebrating birthdays. Overall I had a great first time at Kingfisher and would definitely recommend a try.
