    Chicken Pho

Yum to the Tum! When you are feeling sick to your stomach or sick in general this is the perfect food to help you be cured! Also really good for a hangover! The chicken pho and the broth are on point with flavor and then the condiments like bean sprouts and mint and etc bring into life! Yum

Love how there is a Pho So 1 one in West Hills. My family and I used to go to the one in Reseda all the time. Pho always comes out hot and delicious. I've switched over from the og pho tai to the pho dac biet (number 1) and it hits me to the core whenever I need a homey soup recovering from anything. Price has definitely gone up but seems like the portion size is somewhat bigger. Service is always fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is my go-to place for Vietnamese food. I usually get the #1 or the Vermicelli Bowl with Grilled Pork and shrimp. I also always get an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls are very flavorful and crispy and come with lots of veggies and dipping sauce. They dont look like your typical egg rolls but do not skip this item. I recommend them over the spring rolls which are also very good. The portions are substantial. The menu at the other Pho So 1 locations vary slightly. The servers are nice and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has plenty of seating as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you haven't tried this place you need to stop by as soon as possible. Especially if you're trying to cure a hangover!!!

My friend was craving pho so we came by here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Pho So 1 is located in a plaza with lots of parking space. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of indoor seating and though it was a weekday at lunch, this place still had a half dozen or so tables filled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only indoor seating is available and the food came super quick after ordering. For the pricing related to the portions of pho offered, I think this place is definitely competitive. Chín Pho 5/5, I had this and it was HUGE. I normally cannot finish a full bowl of pho and this was no exception. It came delightfully hot and steamy, the noodles were soft and most importantly the pho broth was delicious Chín Ñam Pho 4/5, my friend had this and she liked it and rated it as such Taro tea 4/5, I don't know if this was meant to be more of a tea or smoothie but it was cold and had parts of it freeze up and had to be broken down with my straw. The taro is strong and sweet which I enjoyed. Thai Tea 3/5, my friend had this with boba. She felt it was just average.

I like the new menu. In it, prices were categorized by type of meal. One gnawing question, though: does this new menu make it simple for customers to easily calculate the total or to make it easy for them to amend the price on the menu in a short notice? Either way, the menu is great in Ed's opinion. The quality of Yangzhou fried rice I ordered today went down below par! No doubt the rice was fried on laced with flavor with intense fire on a wok but the ingredients put into it were a bit too stingy (again, this was based on today's order) -- Chinese sausages were too small to be seen and were chopped too thin to even felt it on my tongue! Alas, after deep dive digging the pile of "rice" on the plate, I discovered two small shrimps besides the sausages! No other meat was discovered after that. That was a different approach Pho So 1 use to combat the inflation (less on meat!) I hope, the management will readjust and correct this so that the fried rice will be more tasteful & enjoyable. The service was fast as usual. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lighting was on par.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom was okay standard for an Asian restaurants; floor was always wet & no paper towel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waiters/waitress were pretty polite. Enjoy skimpy meat dishes...

Our go to Pho place in West Hills. Always good dishes & very quick. Reasonably priced & staff are attentive.

Vermicelli with Pork and egg roll

First time trying this place out. Food was meh... I ordered the Vermicelli with pork and egg roll and this is what I got. I usually order this dish from Pho Saigon in Chatsworth. Surprised to see the small amount of pork in this dish at this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was clean and busy at lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good.

17 bucks. No I haven't eaten it yet

Place is pricey and they're stingy. There are other options around. This place is no longer going to be one of them

It is an interesting and welcoming restaurant and has a great atmosphere. I also love how the location has Japanese and Thai artwork all over. 4/5 Staff: The owner is super kind and helpful. I also thought that her staff was nice and attentive. 5/5 Price: I feel that the food is well priced and competitive. Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

This spot has built a reputation as a great alternative to some of the larger dim sum chains, so we were excited to finally check it out. We arrived right when they opened, grabbed a cozy table by the kitchen, and immediately noticed how welcoming the staff was. Service was genuinely outstanding! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and the dishes came out at a relaxed pace without ever feeling rushed. Five stars for the hospitality alone. Of course, we ordered a little feast to share: Dan Dan Noodles - My friend's favorite dish of the meal! We ordered them without meat, and they were rich, creamy, and coated in a delicious peanut sauce. I liked them but next time I'd opt to get them with meat to give them a little more flavor. 3.5/5. Pork & Shrimp Soup Dumplings - Exactly what we were craving. Each dumpling was juicy with a generous amount of filling, and once dipped in the vinegar soy sauce with fresh ginger and a little chili oil... absolute perfection. 4.5/5. Pork Chop Fried Rice - My personal favorite. The pork chop was crispy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully, while the classic egg fried rice underneath was pure comfort food. Simple, satisfying, and something I'd happily order again. 5/5. If you're spending the day in the Valley or find yourself around Woodland Hills, Dan Modern Chinese is definitely worth adding to your list. This isn't a cheap hole in the wall spot, so you'll pay a little more but everything was tasty and a great portion size for 2-3 people sharing. Food 4 stars: Typical Mongolian Barbecue setup which became popular in LA in the 80's... The tradition continues here. You get a bowl of protein and add your own veggies, noodles and sauces at the self-service station and hand your bowl to a cook who stir-fries it on large dome. You get a variety of meats to choose from (Beef, Chicken or Pork - I usually get half chicken-half pork). They have lunch specials, a la carte items and All You Can Eat. It used to be (before Covid) that you also took the meat from the self-service station and you pile up as much meat in any combination as you could fit one time in your bowl, but those days are long gone. You also get rice, bread (a.k.a. pocket biscuits - delicious!), fried wontons, fried (breaded) shrimp and egg rolls, depending on which item on the menu you select. They also have fried rice and a coupler of desserts to be ordered as separate items, but I have not tried them. One thing I have noticed is that their portions continue to get smaller and smaller... The amount of rice I got this last time around was ridiculously small... about the size of an ice cream scoop :D
