Pho being something I only discovered in my adult years, I have been to probably 10-15 different restaurants in the Seattle/Bellevue area since moving here in 2013. Usually I just repeat visit 2 or 3 of these places when I'm in the mood for pho. Today I tried pho tai merely for convenience but was so pleasantly surprised by the full bodied broth and hearty portions. I wanted something light, so I broke away from my usual brisket and tendon and went veg., Just veggies, no tofu. -Did not miss it. Very delicious, packaged so well, tons of cabbage, onions, sprouts, carrots, scallion, and mushrooms, all fresh...will definitely be putting pho tai to the top of my rotation of tasty pho spots. read more

I was in the Bellevue area with a co worker trying to find a Pho place because he never had Pho before so we decided to try Pho Tai for our lunch. First thing I really like about this place was once you step in the door, you are greeted respectful and get asked how many people and you get seated really fast. I ordered two Spring Roll and a large bowl of Pho that had steak, brisket, flank, tendon and tripe. My co worker ordered a small Pho that just had steak and flank. First, I let him try the spring roll and he was mind blown on how it tasted so good with the creamy and sweet peanut sauce. This first dish was a thumbs up. After eating the spring roll he finally tried the Pho and that was also a success too! His favorite was the noodles and how the hoisin sauce made the soup sweet but still delicious. Two new dish he tried was a success! My overall opinion about the food was it was delicious! The spring roll was perfect size with a good amount of vermicelli noodle, protein and vegetable. The peanut sauce was on point, not too salty or sweet. Lastly, the pho broth was sweet and flavorful and you can tell that they use the beef bones to cook that soup to perfection. The amount you get was perfect and even the price was on point! A large bowl that gave me a full stomach was only $10! Most places are overcharging it but Pho Tai is a great place to go! read more

I had take my family there for dinner after came back from ski yesterday. My wife and my 10 years old daughter order the Pho beef noodles soup...me and my sons order chicken teriyaki. The foods was test good...have no any problem at that times.! But..!!!! We didn't had eat anything after that when we got home until we all go to beds.! About 11pm. at night... my daughter & my wife started throw up and keep on going all night long until this morning still not stopped. So, I had taking them to see the doctor this morning after drop my boys at school. The doctor said, "they got foods poison.! Could be from eating the bad meats or uncooked foods.!" So, I just want to warnings all of you to be careful when you eating there.! Must checking on your meals. Right now, my wife started getting better but my daughter still throwing up but starting to get better than last night.! The doctor said, "will take about 48 hours to heal.!" If not...! I say four stars because they are as you say it is what it is. Pho is good, it doesn't tingle "awesome" on my tongue but the ones that do have great pho taste are really dirty places. I come here all the time. I live over 40 miles away and I still travel to this location. The food is outstanding. Customer services is incredible!! I bring so many friends with me to this location. I honestly won't going to any other pho' restaurant. If your in the need for pho' you have to come here! I get a strange order every time.. out of personal request and they never mess it up!! Ordered bun (noodles)  with pork and shrimp and a rice dish with chicken and spring roll. All the meats were supposed to be grilled, but they where boiled and deep fried.  Chicken was bullets and pork was pretty much all fat and gristle. The salad that came with the rice should have been fine if they didn't drown it in really crap ranch dressing, something I've never seen at a Vietnamese restaurant. Overall the standard of food was unacceptable even to Vietnamese standards which are low to begin with (I lived in Vietnam 6months). On the plus side the pho broth seems OK but nothing special. I guess there pho is edible but I wouldn't go back. We did eat our plates because we were hungry and didn't want to waste it so 2 stars instead of 1 which it should get for non-pho items. read more

Got the Pho special # 15, they do a great job packaging the food for takeout. They give you plenty of noodles and it was very good.

Went here with a couple buddies as we were starving for some pho. The prices are little steep but I guess its typical for the eastside. The pho was average and we also got some spring rolls. Every pho place gives the spring rolls first, this place did not. I waited 5 mins after the pho was served and saw new people arrive and get spring rolls. I inquired about it while all the workers were on break eating in front of the guests. They gave me a rude response stating they know and its still being made while one runs in the back and starts making them. hmmmmm. Very rude customer service from the second we walked in,during and when we left. I understand pho joints are not known for awesome friendly service but this place simply doesn't give a hoot about there guests. Won't be back. read more

Pho Tai - Yum? - Vietnamese Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

I love Pho Tai Bellevue! They do not use MSG like almost every other Pho restaurants do. I have severe allergic reaction to MSG, so I know! So the people who says their soup taste bland or different, it's because you are addicted to MSG more than anything else. I do not put any sauce into my soup and it just taste awesome! Their portions are great and give more than enough meat per bowl! My normal order is #2 and spring roll. Sometimes I eat the cold noodle one w/ pork and shrimp and it is just out of the world! I tried their Teriyaki dishes too and they weren't bad at all. Since it is Pho place, I didn't have high expectation of them, but it was like I was getting Teriyaki from Teriyaki restaurant. It was that good! I tried so many different pho restaurants, but this Bellevue Pho Tai is the best of the best! I've been a regular customer for the last 4 years! Only thing is though, whenever I order a bubble tea, they don't bring it out until I am almost done w/ my pho. I am a slow eater, so that means I usually wait about 20-30 min for my bubble tea. It's well worth the wait, but it's one downside of that restaurant...I guess I can deal with that. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I only give it 3 stars though b/c the ambiance leaves some to be desired. BUT their pho is great! They vacuum seal their pho when it's ordered to go :) their portions are HUGE (one large bowl can feed 2 ppl, easily). The staff there is so loveable. Food usually is a lot better, and i would consider it one of the better ones in the eastside. Been here for tons of times now, and I love their broth. Recently looked into the dry noodle salads and they are actually a very nice salad for me too. One of the waiters (new I think) doesn't seem to notice his thumb is in the broth when he's serving. This is one of the two pho restaurants in the area that I love! I really like this restaurant because they have fatty flank, which I can't seem to get at most other places. My usual order is a pho with rare beef and fatty flank and a Thai iced tea. They also package their take out pho very nicely - the noodles come in a container that is big enough to pour the soup in and eat out of. Just went there today for the first time to satisfy my Pho craving. Fast, inexpensive & service was great! I got the Brisket + Meatball soup bowl, large. The food went down great, super tasty with the sriracha... but about one hour later, my tummy & tooshie paid the price!!! My stomach hasn't been the same. Just ate a light salad for dinner and my tummy is turning, again. Eight hours later. :( With all of the great reviews I was REALLY hoping to be able to give 5 stars, now I'm scared to get food poisoning every time. Since the new owners took over about a year ago, the quality of food and service has improved dramatically. First, the meats gotten better, I believe they use higher quality beef. Second, the soup is hotter and vegetables are fresher, which is extremely important for Pho. The service has gotten better and friendlier. Among 3 or 4 other pho restaurants in the neighborhood, Pho Tai is definitely the best for Pho noodles. read more

I have received horrible service here every time I come in. Their spring rolls are good but other than that their pho and curry are only mediocre. Don't ever go in past 9pm unless you want to be reminded every 5 minutes that they're close soon (they're supposed to close at 10). This place is awful. Like most pho restaurants, they allow you to alter an order, but not here. I ordered Chicken and Veggie pho and the waitress who was taking our order stated "we don't do that, and I'm the owner" That's great she's the owner and all, but last time I was here, I got what I ordered... I never order anything different. She then proceeds to walk away as if she didn't hear me and another waitress came over to RETAKE our order.... some great owner she is... never coming back here again. Yum! Haven't tried a dish that I didn't like yet! I usually go for the pho w/rare steak but also really love the carrot beef stew w/noodles. The stew had huge chunks of tender meat and didn't taste like carrots at all. I tried a couple pieces of my friends ginormus portion of chicken katsu and it was the best I'd ever had, I usually don't order it when I eat out because most places it's dry and chewy (but not here it was really good.) I saw one review that wasn't a big fan of the bubble tea here but but my only complaint would be that a couple times the tapioca pearls have been a frozen clump in the bottom...not a big deal and certainly not enough to make me go someplace else. read more

The most delicious Pho within lunchtime driving distance of my Bellevue office. Before moving away I used to go often. I ordered a chicken breast teriyaki no rice extra lettuce my expectation was that my bowl would have chicken teriyaki on one side and then the salad on the other side. Normally with rice you, you get one side of chicken. One corner of rice and one corner of salad. When I went to pick up my $10.00 bowl. I opened it up and got one corner of chicken and 3/4 of lettuce. I returned it and the man told me this was what I asked for. Uh no, I asked for no rice. I had to argue to get my money back. Went there for lunch. Felt like having a pho. The service wasn't great, she was in a hurry and didn't try to understand what I want and how I want it. Because I'm a foodie, I want to get my phoe "my way", but the waitress seemed she is in a hurry.
