Came on a rainy, Seattle Sunday...looking for some warm noodle soup to soothe...Pho Tai definitely did that, and for a very reasonable price. Came by myself after a decent walk from my daughter's apartment, so was really looking forward to the late lunch. It was still pretty crowded inside...once I was noticed, was asked by one of the staff to pick any table which I did near a window. Water was brought right away, and the menus were already on the table that I had picked. Pho Tai lists their menu on-line, so I already knew what I wanted. #28 Cha Gio ($3.75 each): Deep fried egg roll with minced pork and vegetables. It came out quickly and had been cut in half, with a typical sweet chili dipping sauce. It was very heavy and dense, and full of meat and vegetables. I wish they had given some romaine lettuce to wrap it, which some places do. But I did appreciate it comes individually (i.e. don't have to order two like most places do). #17 Pho Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach ($14.95 for a large): the named proteins here are steak, brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. The broth was really good, slightly sweet, had a decent amount of beef flavor, but wasn't overly oily at all. It was also served at the perfect temperature: just hot enough to slightly 'cook' the thai basil and fresh bean sprouts added after it came to the table, but not so hot that it scalds if eaten too quickly. For me, tripe and tendon go really well in pho and is a must....but so are beef balls, and there was no combination that had all of those. Will definitely try that next. They open at 10:30 am, based on when they have the right amount of demand. I mention this because Pho is very much considered a breakfast food for some of us, and most of the locally owned Pho restaurants in SoCal open quite a bit earlier for breakfast. This isn't the case here, which makes sense, since in this area, the majority of restaurants are regional Chinese and authentic Indian. So glad for this Vietnamese restaurant and hoping to make at least one more visit before I go back to SoCal.

Ordered two spring rolls and a side of vegetables (which I thought would be romaine lettuce and pickled vegetables as pictured) but instead got old broccoli and moldy browned cabbage. The quality has gone downhill. It's so disappointing. I think this place also needs to be reevaluated by a health inspector. Nothing tasted fresh. The spring rolls peel was stale. Such a bummer. I used to love this place.

Been here multiple times since my first review. This is now our go-to pho spot in Bellevue. For the price, the pho is delicious. Their meats are consistently good quality, and their broth is tasty. A casual spot, service is fast, they let you choose where to sit.

Nut allergy: The spring rolls are served with a peanut dipping sauce. Pho has no issues. Plenty of seating inside. Service was incredibly fast (four bowls of pho out in less than 8 minutes). Our noodles came out slightly undercooked (clumpy) but weren't too bad after a few minutes. The broth was lightly flavored, still tasty and not too salty. A solid amount of meat in the Large bowl. The normal one seemed like plenty for most people. You can ask for onion or steamed beansprouts. Great spot for a fast lunch.

We were looking for some quick lunch with zero line. And this was it! They said to seat ourselves anywhere which we did. The menu has quite a bit of things in there. But I ordered brisket and tripe soup and teriyaki. The food came out pretty fast. But the server wasn't very attentive and we would always have to call them if we needed anything. The ambiance is casual and seems like a cafeteria/ food court. The food though was very good, and the prices are cheap. It's definitely a good place for weekday lunch.

#17 I already it because it was delicious! I recommend this dish

The food is delicious, the service was okay. They ask you how many people are eating. Only brought myself today. They told me to pick a place to sit. When it came to ordering, the menu is already at the table. They serve you water first, that's great love it. They ask when your ready to order. I normally take my time to look at the menu, the menu was very good. I can see and read clearly. When it comes to ordering, the women just asked what I want to order. It felt kind of rushed haha. But it's okay. I just told the lady to give me a moment. Takes them about a minute or two to get back to you, depending how busy they are. That's a perfect amount of time for them to get a customer. I order a number 17 of the menu, it took them 2 minutes to bring me my food. When the food came it was a here you go and leave. The server is friendly yes but no smile towards the customers. A friendly environment is what makes a restaurant. Out of it all I would rate this 3/5 food was amazing! Service was ok

The food (Pho) was good, especially the broth. The broth has good flavor. The service was great. A Pho place that you can choose your table kinda ambiance.

I love Pho, and there unfortunately aren't too many delicious places in Seattle/Eastside to fill this craving. So when I saw Pho Tai as a potential place to get this scrumptious noodle soup, I paid this restaurant a visit! I went on a Monday around dinner time (~7pm) and was promptly seated. The ambiance of the restaurant is casual with tables and booths lining the walls and middle of the restaurant. When I went, the service was very lax - seating was first come first serve, and you had the choice to pick wherever you wanted to sit. I initially wasn't sure if I was going to be served when I seated myself and was wondering if I needed to flag down a waiter to get a menu and my order in, but fortunately I didn't need to do any of that. As for paying the bill, you have to go up the register (at least for me) to do so. I got the number 17 large pho ($16) - the size was large, but I would say the actual size is something more of a medium bowl. This critique is based on other pho restaurants I've tried, and I was left wishing for a bit more in terms of size. The bowl was more like 25% meat (a couple of slices of steak/flank/brisket and a bit of tendon) and 75% noodles, which left me wanting a bit more in terms of protein. The broth had decent flavor and the warmth was much needed on the rainy day that I went. In the end, I would say that that though the flavors were decent, the price could be a bit better (maybe $2-3 cheaper per bowl), but that's just my opinion. Due to the limited options of pho on Eastside, Pho Tai would be a decent bet if you are looking to fill that pho craving for the time being.

There's good pho here, but the parking situation is horrendous as it shares the parking lot with the extremely busy Asian Family Market. Things that I noticed: clean tables, way too small napkins, nice background music, good pho broth. I got the seafood pho, which has shrimp, crab meat, squid, and scallop. I would recommend NOT getting the large since it's basically the same size as the regular but with more soup. Other than that, the pho was tasty.

Service was very much rushed, questions were repeated for a speedier response. The food came out quick but was not very hot.. the server brought out the second bowl and then placed the receipt down and lagged before leaving as if expecting payment right away. We haven't had the chance to eat, let alone add some sriracha. It felt unwelcoming especially since they did not serve the table next to us a check with their food. The food was flavorful but the ambience was thrown off.

Who are the folks giving 5 stars on here? My husband and I have had pho from countless places in WA and other states. This is the worst pho we've ever had. Stay away if you have had decent Vietnamese food before. Also stay away if you're vegetarian. Beef Pho lacked flavor and no real pho spice smell. The noodle was too starchy like it wasn't cooked well. The vegetarian curry (which I thought was a safe order) was barely edible. I've had better microwaveable curry before. The curry came out cold with raw vegetables thrown on top. I'm talking about raw broccoli, bell peppers, and cabbage. I had to ask them to please heat up my curry. The menu said it was their best seller. Lychee bubble tea was the only thing decent.

First time trying this spot and the food was amazing! Got seated quickly and the service was excellent. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having a good time as well, all occupied on their food. Would definitely recommend (:

Do they use veggie broth for veggie pho?

No. We went and were informed that there were no vegetarian options. Had to leave and find another place for dinner.

    Is this place vegetarian-friendly?

Yes, it is. Although number of items are limited. But their veggie pho is good.

These folks probably need another great review like Elon Musk needs an increase in his allowance,…read morebut fairness demands that I not keep silent regarding my enjoyment of this restaurant: THE ROSES: Ample dedicated parking. The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

I wanted to give this place a second chance because I know a lot of people really enjoy it, but…read moreunfortunately my experiences were underwhelming. As i always say go try it for yourself. The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

Once you make your way to the soft serve, spoon a little bit of the sweet potato with a full spoon of soft serve, then it'll be good, in my opinion. Kohaku Matcha Parfait- delicious. Loved the little bit of strawberry and the warabi mochi. Probably not the best matcha parfait I've had but I'd get it again. Got the Sakura Tendon Set to go for dinner on the plane. While it was tasty, the crispiness didn't hold up so I would not recommend taking it to go/eating it at room temp. This restaurant is mostly self service; there are two kiosks right in front for ordering and a table full of prefilled drink cups. I think the only upside to this restaurant is the free cups of mango tea, which are slightly sweetened and fruity. I wouldn't say they are very mango forward though. Hot Oil Biang Noodles ($13.99) - The biang biang noodles here aren't very good. They seem to be stretched somewhat, but then I feel like they take shortcuts. Instead of being almost completely stretched via bouncing the noodles on the table, they only stretch it probably half as much as normal, then they cut the dough lengthwise several times - this is why I can see multiple clear corner pieces in the noodle instead of it being relatively straight. They also don't care to make it consistent in thickness. This causes major issues because the thinner parts are soft and mushy while the thicker corners are doughy and slightly undercooked. I don't know how, but the noodles also clump together, so in some bites, I'm eating three strands of mushy noodles right on top of each other. The sauce here isn't much better. It's supposed to be aromatic, blistering hot oil mixed with chili/vinegar and aromatics poured directly on the noodles. The problems here are multifold. Firstly, they don't drain the noodles properly, resulting in an excessive amount of water diluting the sauce. Secondly, they use far too much vinegar, making the sauce overly acidic. The vinegar is by far the dominant flavor in the dish. While the dish seems like it will be spicy due to the red color oil, it's almost completely diluted out by the vinegar and noodle cooking water. The dish is basically not spicy at all due to these factors. (2/5) Spicy Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup ($14.99) - This dish suffers from the same noodle issues as above, but the soup format improves some aspects slightly, but worsens other aspects. Since the soup is hot and the noodles are soaked in the broth, they soften more readily, so the soft portions are even more mushy than the "dry" noodle. The thicker portions are nice and bouncy though. The soup itself is relatively flavorful, slightly gamey, and tastes like it actually is a lamb bone broth, but it doesn't really have depth of flavor. Again, it's not really spicy at all. The lamb on top seems like thinly sliced hot pot lamb, pan fried until very dry. If not for the fact that the lamb is sliced thin, it would be extremely tough. It does have a nice fragrant cumin flavor though. (2/5) Those were the two worst bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I wasn't particularly impressed with the noodles at the U District location of Xi'an Noodles either, but they were far better than these two steaming piles of excrement. Bathrooms - Two unisex room shared with Snowy Village. One was locked though

Both dishes were quite tasty and the presentation was excellent but Kimbap was cold (I guess that is okay but it should really be served just slightly colder than room temp) and the sides that came with Rosé Teokbokki were premade stuff from Young Ocean or another vendor, not housemade. Also the sauce for Rosé had "Korean Corn Soup" in it. I love the Korean Corn Soup but it's a cheap instant stuff you can buy at any Korean Grocery. Service/Venue/Ambiance - 3 stars. Simply put - not memorable but not bad either. Place was clean but very blank. It definitely does not feel like a place that should charge the price they do (more to come on this later). Food came out pretty fast and the server was okay. The space was pretty big and we didn't have to wait to be seated (Sunday 11:30am). Price/Value - Negative 5 stars. 20 dollars for what we got is quite ridiculous. Terrible value! Half the food we ate wasn't even made in house. On top of all this, they charged 80 cents more than the listed prices on the menu!! Wow and why? They ask for tip too. There is nowhere on the menu that says they charge 4% service fees. This is such a scam imo. Restaurants that charge service fees! Please stop. Unless the fees go to pay the wages of the employees, it should be illegal for businesses to do this. Overall, you can definitely live without this place. Food is pretty good but you really deserve better than feeling you got ripped off plus the extra 4% when paying the bill.
