Super cute hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant. The decor and tables matched perfectly for the small setting. They seemed to have larger long tables that can accommodate larger parties. My son and I came at a weird hour to have a very late lunch so there was not many people in the restaurant. The server was pretty lack luster but the food came out fast and hit the pho vegetable soup was packed with yummy veggies and the broth was amazing and full of flavor. My son had chicken fried rice and it was a super larger portion that had great taste. Cons the tables were dirty and the menus had a film on them making you feel like you need to wash your hands after touching them. Sadly both my son and myself woke up with bad stomach aches too. They do take credit card and there is ample parking

Enjoyed the BMC Bun Combo and Pho Ga (chicken). Good prices, quick service, comfortable dining area, and quality food. Broth was flavorful and ingredients were fresh!

Some of the best pho I have had in Connecticut. I had the pho and the beef fried rice, this is my fifth time here and it's been fantastic every time and the service is awesome too, these are new owners but the decor is the same, if you tries this place last year and didn't like it make sure to give the new owners a try!!!!!!

I'm not sure if it was a shift change or just timing, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it felt like we were left a bit on the side for a while. Nothing major, just something noticeable. Also, while the food is creative and well made, some items felt a bit pricey for the portion size (for example, a meatball serving), so value may depend on what you order. That said, it definitely wouldn't stop me from coming back. Good food, good beer selection, and overall a solid spot.

I would bring everyone there. When they opened the new location in Windsor , it was still great. It was a birthday outing type of thing. I went again last week, which was likely my final time. For the past few years, I've been giving it a pass... growing pains, maybe? But the food is not what it was. The succulent, juicy brisket that I used to dream of has been dry and cold for the last year or so (probably 3 or 4 visits). The burnt ends, which used to be as addictive, are now no longer made from brisket...but what seems to be cubed chuck...again, dry. Texas sausage and pulled pork are still ok, as are the sides. On top of that, they are always short staffed, and the staff that they do have is not helpful...not friendly.. Just a big NOT anymore. I haven't been to the Hartford or New Haven locations recently, but as far as Windsor is concerned, it will not be going back anytime soon. I don't mind paying the premium prices for quality food and service, but you are no longer premium. Please figure this out. My favorite place no longer exists.. and I really want it to return to the quality of the past.

IZUMI JAPANESE CUISINE... SUSHI BAR. It practically demands your attention. Four of us had lunch here yesterday, and we had an excellent experience. The service and food were top notch. Our friends had driven from the Albany area on business, so we didn't want to compromise their ride back with alcohol and we all had a nice cup of green tea ($2) for starters. Izumi's menu may take you a while to get through, because it is quite comprehensive, with soups, salads, hot and cold appetizers. Sushi rolls and sushi entrees, Special sushi rolls, Teriyaki/Katsu/Tempura/Shogayaki and Chef Specials, Hibachi plates, Noodle dishes and soups, and plenty of Bento Box or sushi lunch specials. My wife and I both ordered from their Lunch Specials menu. She had a Tempura Shrimp and Vegetable Bento Box ($14.50). It included a soup (or salad), 4 slices of California roll, two Shumai dumplings, three small vegetables, a big scoop of rice, and the tempuras - two shrimps, an onion ring, a broccoli floret and a sweet potato wedge. My order was a decent sized bowl of vegetable tofu soup ($4.50) and a Two Roll Maki Sushi Special (Salmon and Tuna Avocado) for $12.50. The rolls were appropriately "lunch sized" and were very good. We were treated very well and all of us enjoyed our food. I'd like to go back and dig a little deeper into their menu next time.

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.
