This has always been my Pho place for years and years. I truly believe if you go to an Asian establishment don't have high expectations of service versus the foods and its quality. Here you get all the above. Food: Fresh tasting pho! I had the combo which was excellent. My kids favorite has to the combination pho and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Shrimp rolls and shrimp and pork spring rolls are very good and fresh as well. They got great tasting lemonades and smoothies. Ultimate favorite is the 3 layered beans desert its a must. The restaurant: It can get crowded but we hit a perfect window and got seated right away. It was clean and casual. Service: Service was lighting fast, not only for us but for those around us as well. Our severs were pretty friendly and answered all our questions and recommendations were on point. All their dishes were amazing tasty just like the name of the restaurant. I have to agree with many that this Pho place is a good choice to go to for tasty beef broth. Today also tried their egg rolls and it's pretty good, not many Vietnamese restaurants nearby makes good egg rolls like this place, meat filling is perfect enough to taste well when wrapped with lettuce and dip into fish sauce. I've tried rice dishes here before as well, the dish with the hen, I would preferred over the broken rice dishes. Pre-covid, Pho Tasty easily was 6 stars in customer service as well as the food. Nothing has changed. You can order ahead or order when you get there. There are two lines with green socially distanced markers on where to stand. Hand sanitizer is available and they do require face masks as well as 6 feet distancing. The menu is on the table but I strongly suggest to view the menu online if you don't have your "go to" items. The pho is superbly packed for optimal freshness & regardless if I'm hungry or not, if I'm in the area, I will stop & get a large to go. Future me always is appreciative. :) The broken rice is always fluffy and savory but the family also likes the vermicelli. Hands down the chargrilled pork is the best, regardless of what base you pair it with. I personally feel their egg quiche is the best in LA & the OC; there's a nice denseness of meat, noodles, and eggs with a peppery kick. I've been here many times over the last few years and always really enjoyed it. Unfortunately for reasons unknown, they have switched to a budget sriracha sauce that is grossly inferior to the main sriracha sauce with the rooster on the bottle. This cheap sauce has a goose on the bottle. Most people would think no big deal, well it is a big deal and dramatically affects the taste of the dish (in this case pho) that it's used in. Unfortunately I will not be returning unless they switch back or I may consider bringing my own. Don't ignore the comments about the RUDE service. There is a male waiter here that CHASTISES the customers. I usually come here with a group of ten friends, but decided to go solo on a Saturday morning. I was eating my Pho and when he saw that I wasn't touching my greens yet (I save them for later), he SNATCHED the plate away from me. I corrected him and stated that the greens were bought with the meal and that it wasn't his prerogative to take them away without asking me. The next time I came on another weekend, he gave me a plate of over-thawed rare steak with six tiny slivers when I ordered it on the side. I had to ask for a more acceptable, fresh plate; even by food safety standards, the first plate given to me was sub par. I had ordered this way before and the meat did not look normal as in the past. I don't know if this was done out of spite, but it sure felt like it. The third time I got the same mean-spirited waiter the next weekend (yes, I was a regular customer just asking for decent service, nothing over the top), he actually started loudly arguing with me in front of his boss and other customers that I couldn't get an extra piece of lime because he loudly articulated "We charge you for extra lime because you NEVER finish the vegetables!" I told him that was none of his business if I finished the greens or not because they came with the meal that I paid for. I specifically tell them what vegetables to leave off so as not to cause waste. We keep arguing back and forth and I ended up getting up and leaving after I talked to the owner. She tried to defend her employee's actions without knowing the context of the situation. The waiter kept on trying to yell over me to tell his version of the story to her. I personally will never be going back to this establishment and neither will my friend group. I hope you learn to treat your repeat customers better, especially in this economy. There are plenty of competitors to your restaurant that have better tasting Pho. It's too bad you keep on losing loyal customers to something so petty. YOU NEED TO RE-TRAIN YOUR WAITSTAFF. They've downsized the bowl to a child's portion as their 'small' and increased the price to $12.00 No shade to the owners but it'd be appreciated if you keep portions bigger to appreciate the customers that have supported you through Covid and helped put food on your table for so many years Save your money and check out Pho May. Pho Tasty is my favorite Pho place in Cerritos. It's always been consistent and has pretty good pricing. I usually get the Pho Dac Biet, but this time I tried the charbroiled chicken vermicelli, avocado smoothie, and my friend got the pho with brisket and rare beef. Comparing the pho to other pho places, the broth is lighter and tastes cleaner. While I enjoy the richness in other places, I also like that this one can be eaten like breakfast. I wanted to try something new so I had the charbroiled chicken vermicelli. I enjoyed it, it was like eating a chicken and noodle salad. The meat was cooked and marinated very well, and paired well with the fish sauce provided. Finally, I tried the avocado smoothie out of curiosity. It was creamy and a little bit nutty; not what I expected an avocado smoothie to taste like, but I thought it was worth trying. Overall, I give this place a solid 8/10! He asked for our order and I tried to correct him on our order and he raised his voice "I know your order I'm repeating the other ones!" I just looked away and stopped talking to him. So me and my daughter went to eat last Sunday, we had eaten there before plenty of times. Well this time we order our food a sprite and a root beer soda, and as we're eating and drinking my daughter says mom it's some in your drink I look down and there about 6 ants on the rim of my cup. I didn't make a scene I walk my drink to the counter to let them know how discussed I was. I had been drinking a drink loaded with ants. The manager said oh it's the summer and hot so we can't control the ants but I'll get you another drink, he went on to say it's probably in the ice but my daughter had a sprite and there was no ants in her drink. My go-to spot for my pho fix. Always jam-packed anytime we visit and definitely represents how popular and good this restaurant is. Depending on what time you visit, you will need to wait several minutes in the parking lot. There's a heater lamp in the waiting area in the winter as it gets colds during the evenings, but it will be crowded in this area. The tables are set up pretty close to one another, and it might be a better option to carry out if you're uncomfortable eating inside. Great price and taste of their pho and other dishes I've tried. Went with their large size bowls of pho with rare steak to share, added spring rolls, and charbroiled skewered chicken rice dish. They stopped offering sliced onions and cilantro, and I think you can request them if only you can get one of the waiter's attention. There's an overwhelming number of dishes to choose from and tough to explore new dishes when you drive here to enjoy your usual pho bowls and spring rolls. 5 stars, I never had a negative experience here, and I don't knock out on food coma (less MSG?) after the pho bowl. read more

I love Pho Tasty! Hands down, the best pho in the Cerritos/Artesia area. My family comes here maybe once every other week because it's the only decent Vietnamese place around where we live. When I come here, I always get Pho Tai Nam Gan (no Sach). I also really like their eggroll dish because they give you lots of veggies and their eggroll wrapper is better than some other places. My husband usually gets vermicelli with pork or one of the rice dishes and those are pretty good quality too. The only downside is the place is small, in high demand, and parking sucks usually...all the time. So sometimes we park in the plaza next door and walk over. To be honest, I wish they would build a bigger restaurant but it's whatevvvv. I'll live! Highly recommend when you're craving Vietnamese food! read more
