Some of the best casual, low-cost Vietnamese food we've had in NJ so far. Pho Today is part of a chain of Vietnamese restaurants in NJ and, so far, it's on our list of repeat go-to restaurants since we moved to the state. The food here is as delicious as it gets for your everyday Vietnamese restaurant. You will find your pho, vermicelli and rice plates here, but it seems that they have just a bit more variety than I typically see at Vietnamese restaurants. Since it was our 1st time at Pho Today, we decided to splurge a little bit more than we normally do and ordered for a table of 3 adults, even though in reality we were a table 2.5. I will be the first to admit that we've all been there where we wanted to try more than we can eat. Our wallets might not like it, but our stomachs sureeeee do. Being that we knew we were going to order 3 entrees, we decided to skip on the appetizers. I know, how could we???? What type of foodies are we? This is where our conscious stepped in and limited us to 3 entrees because we already knew 3 full entrees were too much. We ended up ordering the following 3 dishes: C1. Com Tam Today - Grilled pork chop, shredded pork, egg quiche, spring roll, fried shrimp tofu and omelet on rice. Most grilled meats are marinated in sesame oil. B1. Bun Dac Biet - Special bun grilled pork, grilled shrimp, grilled beef and spring roll on rice vermicelli. P11. Create your own Pho - Gau, Nam, Chin (Fat Brisket, Well Done Flank, Well Done Brisket) First, ALL 3 dishes were delicious! We ordered the pho for our son, but we had some of it and the broth was really, really tasty. So much so that I ended up slurping the whole thing up (BURP). We asked for the brisket and flank to be well done and, despite that, it was STILL tender and had good flavors. As for the Bun, one of the best buns I ever had, seriously! The rice vermicelli was perfect and there was an ample amount of meat. The spring roll was not your typical Vietnamese spring roll, in my opinion, but it fit well still and was super crunchy. Maybe we could have used 1 more shrimp since there were only 2, but small gripe. The pork chop rice plate was also fantastic. We loved the portioning and, once again, all of the meats were excellent. To top it off, my wife and I ordered a Thai Tea and Iced Salt Lemonade. First, my wife loved her Iced Salt Lemonade. I had a few sips of it and, if you're wondering what it is, well, it's literally like drinking a salty lemonade. I know, not much of a description. As for the Thai Tea --- freakin' good! Absolutely get it! It wasn't a Thai Iced Tea, nor did it taste like it. If I could relate it to one thing, I would say it was like a refreshing JASMINE Thai Iced Tea. Overall, the food here was great, but service was rather blah in terms of attitude. Also, since the restaurant is part of the Washington Bridge Plaza Strip Mall, there is a parking lot connected, so no circling for parking! Fortunately, for those planning on coming here, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar gets most of the attention in the strip mall, which was fine by me. Kura might get more customers at the strip mall, but to me, Pho Today is the REAL reason you should be visiting. read more

Been here 75+ times now so here's my updated recommendation: C7 Grilled Chicken w/ Rice is probably the biggest non-noodle classic. Introduced to all my friends and not a single person didn't think it was amazing. Alternatively they have fried chicken, beef short rib, pork, and other options as well. Pro tip: ask to substitute the regular white rice for yellow rice (cooked in chicken stock and fat). P1 and P2 pho options are my go to with Pho. Incredible meat portions with well seasoned broth making these great value. I'll say that it's always consistent too, as I've ordered the P2 in particular 30+ times. Bun Bo Hue is my niche option, I've gotten it a handful of times and some days I prefer it over pho. Give it a try if you like pho but want to explore more. Lastly all the vermicelli bowls, Banh Mi, and appetizers I've tried have been great. I've only tried a couple of each including the summer rolls and haven't gone wrong ever. read more

I had been wanting to go to Pho Today since it was opened in Fort Lee NJ! So glad we made it and the food certainly did not disappoint. Got there around 9pm before it closed at 10pm on a Friday night. The Pho with short rib looked ridiculously delicious and I was told that it would take 20 mins. Surprisingly it came much quicker!! It's more expensive at $24.95 but there was so much meat that I shared with three other people! Short rib was very tender and the broth was very flavorful! The other Pho my friends tried was as good. I've tried the Rutherford location of Pho Today and it was pretty good. Since I was running errands in Fort Lee, I decided to order a few banh mis here to eat on a flight later that evening. We got the grilled pork and grilled beef, but both of them tasted pretty similar, almost identical. They were just okay. But I will say, they held up pretty well for something to be eaten 5 hours later. Next time, I'll try it fresh and see if it has the same quality as its other locations. read more

One of the better and more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area. They offer lots of options, the oxtail pho and the pork chop rice platter is among my favorites here. The service is fast and friendly. They are lated in a strip mall with a shared parking lot, which can be difficult to find a space during at times. I use to frequently dine in when they first opened but since Covid, I have mostly done take out or delivery via Uber Eats. They separate the noodles for the Pho and with even a 15-20 min drive, the soup is still piping hot and food still holds up. read more

I recently dined at pho today, and while the pho itself was fantastic flavorful broth, fresh ingredientsthe service was absolutely appalling. From the start, the waitress greeted us with a rude attitude, barely making eye contact. After she brought our food, she vanished. No check-ins, no water refills, and any attempt to get her attention was met with eye rolls. It felt like we were an inconvenience to her the entire time. The waitress never came back I literally had to get up and ask for the check myself. The great food couldn't make up for the poor service.
