They have amazing traditional Korean food. Many elderly go here which means their food is legit. Servers are friendly.

Came on a weekday night and there weren't many people in the store. - Deluxe Gomtang - I think the difference between the normal gomtang and the deluxe version is that they give a bit more meat and rice. I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. I felt like the meat was not as tender as I hoped but still made me think of my favorite Korean restaurant where I grew up. - Kong-guksu - I didn't know what to expect of this dish as I've never heard of it or tried it before but I didn't really like the dish. No matter how much salt/pepper I put in, there still didn't seem to be a lot of flavor. I ended up dumping the Korean Pickled Onion banchan in which helped elevate the flavor a lot. - Mini KimchiJeon - When I read this off the menu, I though the kimchi pancake would be extremely small but it turned out to be quite bit and very delicious. It was super crispy on the outside with soft insides stuffed with kimchi. I will definitely be back to this home-y restaurant!

Decor is also authentic and minimal. There are no outrageous bells and whistles. The place has an atmosphere of that of a family business run by dedication and hard work. In addition, the prices are fair. Service was good as well. The woman at the front was pleasant and kind. I would come back on a cold day for a nice hot soup.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Side dishes (fresh kimchi, radish, fish cake, and egg) were AMAZING. Had so many refills. Come here!! FOOD: Premium Soy Marinated Crab (9/10) - Insanely sweet and crab sizes are very generous. Mix the rice in the head, you won't be disappointed Soy Marinated Blue Crab (8/10) - Also really good, but crabs are a bit smaller. Still tastes great with the rice Bibingnaeng (8/10) - Really solid cold noodles with beef, pear, and cucumbers? Great way to finish off the meal.

We arrived around 8:50 a.m., and the restaurant was already packed, which is always a good sign. Luckily, two tables opened up just as I got there, allowing my group of three and my friend's group of five to be seated. Even though my friend was still about eight minutes away, the staff was kind enough to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. Every bowl was a hit. The kids enjoyed their beef soups, while the adults ordered the beef knee soup, with one person choosing the spicy beef soup. Each soup came with cooked sticky purple rice, a few noodles in the broth, and classic Korean side dishes like kimchi that rounded out the meal perfectly. The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. Despite how busy they were, the staff remained friendly, attentive, and efficient. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality and generous portions. The only downside for me is that I'd have to cross a bridge to get there, otherwise I'd be a regular. If you're looking for delicious authentic Korean comfort food, open 24 hours, Onga is absolutely worth the visit.

Rating: 4.4 Came to…read moretry for dinner after coming back from American Dream mall. We were staying in Fort Lee area and notice that they have a lot of Korean food options. We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup. If you want to try authentic Korean beef soup and you are in the area this is the place.

They also gave banchan which was your typical kimchi, pickled radish, corn salad, as well as tteokbokki, pajeon, and raw marinated crab! Overall, we loved the food here. That gave us enough time to have the place to ourselves and order literally everything they could think to serve us. This was easily one of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The meat cuts were all perfectly marinated and grilled, from the Dry-Aged Pork Belly, to the tender Pork Jowl, to the juicy Marinated Pork Ribs. The Budae Jjigae was savory comfort, and the Shin Ramen Fried Rice was not only abundant, but served in an adorable heart shape. Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. On top of that, we got more ban chan than an attention-starved halmoni hosting her first family reunion in 10 years. Everywhere I pointed my chopsticks, I touched food. It was delightful. If I can ever gather enough people, I'd gladly infest this place again.

If you haven't been to Tang Maru in Palisades Park yet, you are seriously missing out!…read more From the second we walked in, Mia (the owner) and her daughters, Michele and Gina, treated us like family. Their service is truly top-tier--they're so warm, attentive, and genuinely care that you have a great experience. As soon as you sit down, they bring out the side dishes (banchan), and everything was so fresh. You get two different kinds of kimchi, super soft tofu with a savory sauce, and pickled jalapeños that have the best little kick. Now for the food--everything we ordered was incredible: Seafood Pancake (해물 파전): Hands down one of the best I've had. Crispy on the outside, loaded with tender shrimp and seafood, and not greasy at all. Tofu Hot Stone Bibimbap (두부 돌솥 비빔밥): Sizzling hot, packed with fresh veggies and bean sprouts, and the tofu was cooked to perfection. Spicy Pork Hot Stone Bibimbap (제육 돌솥 비빔밥): The pork marinade has that perfect balance of spicy and slightly sweet. Plus, because it comes in the hot stone bowl, you get that delicious crispy rice at the bottom that absorbs all the flavor. Spicy Chicken Bulgogi (매운 닭 불고기): Brought out piping hot on a sizzling platter with tons of sweet onions and fresh green onions. The chicken was super juicy, tender, and perfectly spiced. You can really taste the heart and care put into every single dish here. Amazing food, even better people. Once you try it, you'll definitely be back regularly, just like we do!

Seolleongtang + Pancake (#2. 설렁탕 + 해물파전 Seolleong Tang + Seafood Pancake $22.99) 2. Soon tofu stew (any of your choice, we got seafood!) + galbi ( *10.Soon Tofu + Galbi $32.99) Firstly OMG, obsessed w/ the banchan here! Our favorites were the Napa cabbage and the tofu... we had to ask for more throughout the meal which we typically don't do hehe. Everything was extremely flavorful & we couldn't have been happier! The soups were definitely necessary after spending the day out in the cold. The galbi was amazing; perfectly cooked & we could tell it was marinated well. Overall, we found everything to be perfect and will for sure be back again!! Parking was awesome too, they have a large shared free parking lot with other establishments.

There is always a wait, and clientele is a mix of older Korean looking for taste of home (like me) and new younger crowd who knows a good thing when they taste it. We ordered, pigs feet (everyone gets it, it's their signature dish), pork neck casserole (they don't skimp, lots of meat chunks and good flavors from wild sesame), bone broth soup/grilled fish combo (also a crowd favorite) and bulgogi in broth (it pleased our finicky eater, and they served a lot of meat instead of fillers). Kimchi sides were a mix of aged deep/sour kind (right up my alley). As for other comments about the 'bland' bone broth, it's supposed to be bland and they give you a number of condiments to suit your taste. It's BYOB, so bring your beer soju or somaks and join the crowd. Priced fair and with generous portions. We will be back again.

However, my wife was disappointed with her sundae gukbap due to the poor quality of the sundae and the lingering pork odor.
