Food is ok but expensive. Customer service is poor. They give little rice and charge for extra.

Came on a weekday night and there weren't many people in the store. - Deluxe Gomtang - I think the difference between the normal gomtang and the deluxe version is that they give a bit more meat and rice. I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. I felt like the meat was not as tender as I hoped but still made me think of my favorite Korean restaurant where I grew up. - Kong-guksu - I didn't know what to expect of this dish as I've never heard of it or tried it before but I didn't really like the dish. No matter how much salt/pepper I put in, there still didn't seem to be a lot of flavor. I ended up dumping the Korean Pickled Onion banchan in which helped elevate the flavor a lot. - Mini KimchiJeon - When I read this off the menu, I though the kimchi pancake would be extremely small but it turned out to be quite bit and very delicious. It was super crispy on the outside with soft insides stuffed with kimchi. I will definitely be back to this home-y restaurant!

Decor is also authentic and minimal. There are no outrageous bells and whistles. The place has an atmosphere of that of a family business run by dedication and hard work. In addition, the prices are fair. Service was good as well. The woman at the front was pleasant and kind. I would come back on a cold day for a nice hot soup.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Side dishes (fresh kimchi, radish, fish cake, and egg) were AMAZING. Had so many refills. Come here!! FOOD: Premium Soy Marinated Crab (9/10) - Insanely sweet and crab sizes are very generous. Still tastes great with the rice Bibingnaeng (8/10) - Really solid cold noodles with beef, pear, and cucumbers? Great way to finish off the meal.

We arrived around 8:50 a.m., and the restaurant was already packed, which is always a good sign. Luckily, two tables opened up just as I got there, allowing my group of three and my friend's group of five to be seated. Even though my friend was still about eight minutes away, the staff was kind enough to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. Every bowl was a hit. The kids enjoyed their beef soups, while the adults ordered the beef knee soup, with one person choosing the spicy beef soup. Each soup came with cooked sticky purple rice, a few noodles in the broth, and classic Korean side dishes like kimchi that rounded out the meal perfectly. The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. Despite how busy they were, the staff remained friendly, attentive, and efficient. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality and generous portions. The only downside for me is that I'd have to cross a bridge to get there, otherwise I'd be a regular. If you're looking for delicious authentic Korean comfort food, open 24 hours, Onga is absolutely worth the visit.

The food was just OK, the meat was mediocre, and there was nothing memorable about the meal. The only thing that seems to stand out is the morning special price, which attracts bargain diners and makes the place extremely crowded. Otherwise, there's really NOTHING special here. For regular hour dining, there are plenty of other restaurants in town that offer much better food and quality for the money.

If you haven't been to Tang Maru in Palisades Park yet, you are seriously missing out!…read more From the second we walked in, Mia (the owner) and her daughters, Michele and Gina, treated us like family. Their service is truly top-tier--they're so warm, attentive, and genuinely care that you have a great experience. As soon as you sit down, they bring out the side dishes (banchan), and everything was so fresh. You get two different kinds of kimchi, super soft tofu with a savory sauce, and pickled jalapeños that have the best little kick. Now for the food--everything we ordered was incredible: Seafood Pancake (해물 파전): Hands down one of the best I've had. Crispy on the outside, loaded with tender shrimp and seafood, and not greasy at all. Tofu Hot Stone Bibimbap (두부 돌솥 비빔밥): Sizzling hot, packed with fresh veggies and bean sprouts, and the tofu was cooked to perfection. Spicy Pork Hot Stone Bibimbap (제육 돌솥 비빔밥): The pork marinade has that perfect balance of spicy and slightly sweet. Plus, because it comes in the hot stone bowl, you get that delicious crispy rice at the bottom that absorbs all the flavor. Spicy Chicken Bulgogi (매운 닭 불고기): Brought out piping hot on a sizzling platter with tons of sweet onions and fresh green onions. The chicken was super juicy, tender, and perfectly spiced. You can really taste the heart and care put into every single dish here. Amazing food, even better people. Once you try it, you'll definitely be back regularly, just like we do!

Each time we're in the area, we aim to try a different spot, so this time we decided to try Tang Maru! They're an authentic Korean restaurant owned by a husband + wife duo & serve delicious dishes. The wife, Mia, attended us our entire meal & was sooo super kind + had great energy! Very refreshing! Here's what we ordered for dinner: 2 combos-- 1. Seolleongtang + Pancake (#2. 설렁탕 + 해물파전 Seolleong Tang + Seafood Pancake $22.99) 2. Soon tofu stew (any of your choice, we got seafood!) + galbi ( *10.Soon Tofu + Galbi $32.99) Firstly OMG, obsessed w/ the banchan here! Our favorites were the Napa cabbage and the tofu... we had to ask for more throughout the meal which we typically don't do hehe. Everything was extremely flavorful & we couldn't have been happier! The soups were definitely necessary after spending the day out in the cold. The galbi was amazing; perfectly cooked & we could tell it was marinated well. Overall, we found everything to be perfect and will for sure be back again!! Parking was awesome too, they have a large shared free parking lot with other establishments.

We actually couldn't get a seat on our last visit because the restaurant was completely packed. This time, we came around 2 PM and it was still about 80-90% full. The food is comforting, flavorful, and feels very authentic -- the kind of Korean neighborhood restaurant that locals go to regularly. It's loud over here. Order the combo if it's your 1st visit. So you can try their sul lung tang and grilled fish. Good food, good value, and clearly a neighborhood favorite. There is always a wait, and clientele is a mix of older Korean looking for taste of home (like me) and new younger crowd who knows a good thing when they taste it. We ordered, pigs feet (everyone gets it, it's their signature dish), pork neck casserole (they don't skimp, lots of meat chunks and good flavors from wild sesame), bone broth soup/grilled fish combo (also a crowd favorite) and bulgogi in broth (it pleased our finicky eater, and they served a lot of meat instead of fillers). Kimchi sides were a mix of aged deep/sour kind (right up my alley). As for other comments about the 'bland' bone broth, it's supposed to be bland and they give you a number of condiments to suit your taste. It's BYOB, so bring your beer soju or somaks and join the crowd. Priced fair and with generous portions. We will be back again.

They have other options if you don't want soup like Jokbol, pig trotter. I know for most people that's not their cup of tea but a good hearty soup? That's for everyone. TLDR: Definitely go visit if you want some spicy flavorful soup alongside some really tender meat! It's delicious. Food: There is so much flavor packed into the Pork Bone Broth Soup that we were shocked when we tasted it! I couldn't stop drinking it. They give you rice on the side to eat with the soup. It's actually quite a large serving for a decent price. I do think the side dishes could be better, there are only two varieties they serve: Kimchi, Kimchi Horseradish, and Beansprouts. None of them stuck out. The Jokbal is delicious if you like pig trotter. Would not recommend for most eaters unless you want something new. Service: Nothing too crazy about the service. They came back for refills which is great. They were very nice and since it was busy they had to keep moving around. Nothing outstanding but solid work. I do feel with some Korean establishments there is a language barrier but they understand english well enough for foreigners to go. Environment: Newly renovated building gives it a sleek, modern look. It's very nice, seats are fine. Only issue is they had flies here and there that will go after the food. So please be prepared to be on the lookout. It's the primary reason we docked a point. The line was out the door so maybe they came from outside? They definitely need a better system for that though if it's a consistent problem.
