First time eating here, but it definitely won't be my last! Now before I start I should say that I'm no "pho expert". I ordered the Curry Chicken Pho dark meat (they actually give you the choice of white or dark meat chicken!). I've had pho before, but never this good! The noodles... AMAZING! They weren't too thick or overcooked. The chicken was super tender and the veggies were fresh! Now the curry I can't even express how good it was. I'm sitting here staring at the bowl sad because it's almost gone! I would recommend this place for anyone in need of good pho! read more

One of my favorite local pho spots! Staff is friendly and food is good! I highly recommend visiting this west side pho restaurant.

Since they opened I have been at least once a month either take out or dine in since down the street from my house. I go through pho phases so sometimes they see me multiple times a week especially in the winter. Family ran and operated. Mom and Dad in the kitchen and the kids and other help run the front end. The service is good if you eat in (they stay on top of the water, check in constantly, know the menu well, etc.). Would recommend to anyone looking for good pho. They also have good middle ground options in fried rice, their rice plates, etc. read more

service is SO great! You seat yourself. The waitress is SOOO nice and super patient! The broth at this place is legit - super good! However, their noodles are a little too starchy for my taste and their meat was a little over cooked so it became kind of tough. Their banh-mi is good, but they don't load it the way other places I've been so do - so it felt a little lacking. If you like good broth and you don't mind starchy noodles, come here! read more

If you're here for vermicelli, I would skip it. I dont eat pho and whenever I go to a Vietnamese place I always order this. In this store, the vermicelli isn't good. The shrimp looks really pale and not seasoned. The only thing that gives this vermicelli a taste is the fish sauce that isn't that good either. Either way I am not going back here. read more

I just came back from this place. I'm declaring this restaurant my new go-to pho joint! Pho restaurants are really not worth reviewing because they all usually give the same mediocre service and the same bowl of pho. This place is new so I am going to support it, but even if it wasn't new and it was as good as my first visit, I'd still write this review because Pho Truong differentiates itself from the rest with a robust broth. First thing's first: the glasses of water are small, but our server made a little joke about it and acknowledged it. Hopefully the glasses are switched for bigger ones in the future, but it wasn't a problem anyway as my glass was refilled several times throughout the course of the meal. The place itself looks very nice and clean. You can tell this is a new restaurant. It looks well taken care of so far and I hope they keep it clean and tidy in the future. We ordered both spring rolls and egg rolls and both were great! The spring rolls were regular spring roll price, but these actually had pork slices in them which is usually a more expensive spring roll. The egg rolls were mostly meat than anything else, but very delicious! Next thing: the pho. We both ordered small bowls of the pho dac biet. We paid small bowl price, but these bowls are nothing close to small and are actually similar to the large bowls of other pho places in DFW. I don't even want to know how big the large bowl is! The broth was fantastic: very clear and clean but extremely flavorful. I have never tasted such flavorful broth! The meat was great also, especially the meatballs which were a lighter variety than other pho places. They also had a nice peppery spice flavor to them. Meat was great. No complaints about my bowl of pho. We also ordered the combination fried rice. This was just okay, nothing to celebrate here but we're definitely sticking to just the pho next time. I'm excited to come back and try other things on the menu, perhaps one of their various drinks! read more

This place is awesome -Staff is super friendly. It's family run (mother, father, son and daughter help out). My water is refilled after taking maybe 5 sips, and they immediately jump on every single request. It honestly feels like being at a 5 star restaurant except I don't have to leave them a $50 tip on my $150 bill afterwards. -Pho and BBH are really high quality. I'm not sure what it is, but their Pho has a certain richness and flavor to it that is much better than any of the other staples I used to go to in the area (Pho Bac and Pho Bang) -Eggrolls are insanely good. They're really meaty, unlike what you would consider normal eggrolls to be -Interior is very clean and well kept -Fried rice is really, really good. It's definitely the American style of fried rice, so be prepared for it to be brown and oily and delicious. I've been here about 4 times now as one of my regular lunch locations and I'll keep coming back. If you like Pho, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. read more

This place has a high rating on yelp because mostly white people use yelp and Im sorry but white people idea of good pho means usually means it's not good pho. Also pro tip go in the restaurant and if you don't see a single asian person eating there you better believe you're paying $9+Tax for a bowl of msg soup. I ordered the large sized Pho Bo Vien with gan (tendon) and it was... not good at all. Instead of large pieces of tendon, I got a bunch of tiny pieces of fat floating around everywhere. I'm actually feeling nauseous from eating this meal as I'm typing this. The broth was too sweet and the meatballs were subpar. Just not a good, authentic bowl of pho. Delicious! One of the better Vietnamese inspired restaurants in the Dallas area. My boyfriend and I were both hesitant but once we got our food it exceeded our expectations. Food - I ordered the Pho Dac Biet. It was so flavorful. When you know it's good pho when you don't need to put lots of add-ins like Hoisin sauce, Siracha, or lime! Putting too much can make it too sweet. Pho Truong also stayed true to what pho Dac Biet is and I say that because so many places today don't put everything in it like meatballs, tripe, beef, etc.. Service - The atmosphere is very clean and spacious. I appreciated the nice customer service too. They were friendly and kind - not annoying or rude. I saw their sign after visiting a friend in Richardson today, I ordered a couple of the sandwiches to go. While waiting, I conversed with Jung, the daughter of the owners. She actually moved from Corpus to help build this restaurant. I love that! So, I got home and split the two sandwiches so my GF and I could sample both. Wow! What a gem! The food hit the spot, and all 6 of us were extremely happy with our meals. We got about 10 items between all of us and everything was delicious, super fresh tasting and very reasonably priced. Everything was packaged well and was still hot when we got home 20 minutes later. The owner is so nice, and I give them 10/10 for covid safety/cleanliness measures. I have been pretty disappointed with our regular spots for their takeout throughout covid, and I have to say this place has done much better than any of my usuals and actually surpassed my expectations for takeout. Best banh mis! My experience with banh mis is largely for those that I make that my Vietnamese friend taught me her mom's recipe. These are better then mine. I stop in early on a Saturday, ordered a couple of banh mis to go. They clearly made them fresh but they were still ready in less than 10 minutes. They both were really good, but the pork really stood out as amazing. Great bread, and loved the large pickled veggies, giving good crunch. The restaurant has a good simple vibe. This is my favorite place for pho in Dallas. They give very generous portions and their extra large portion size is no joke. I eat a lot and I was barely able to finish mine when I ordered the first time. I stick with the large size one now. Their crispy pork eggrolls are also scrumptious. The restaurant is clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. My girlfriend was sick the last 2 times we went and our waiter went out of his way to help her.
