Food was delectable. Service was amazing! Our server was also working the register!! Working so hard. Super friendly and nice. Very quiet inside so don't be afraid to have a conversation. Would come back again!

Pho Truong is definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've tried in the DFW area (specifically Richardson). I LOVE Vietnamese egg rolls, so I always order them. The Crispy Pork Egg rolls at Pho Truong were exactly how I like them! The outside was crispy and perfectly fried, while the inside meat was still moist and flavorful. Honestly, they were some of the best egg rolls I've had! I would highly recommend. I also tried the P1 Pho Dac Biet. The Pho broth was very flavorful! This may just seem like a simple description, but I've had several bowls of pho that just didn't meet my flavor expectations. That was not the case at Pho Truong, as I just needed to add a pinch of salt to accommodate my taste buds. My only critique was that some cuts of meat were a little over cooked for my liking, but it did not heavily impact my overall enjoyment of the dish.

Have been coming here for years and they don't fail you. I went with my usual PCurry spicy chicken Pho and it was delicious. If you are into Pho and in the area, stop in. When the wife is working a 24 at the hospital and the kids are back to college, I get to pick the restaurant!

    I ordered combination Pho.

The pho broth is super delicious, full of freshness and flavor. They put plenty of tender meat in my bowl. Hit every note, definitely will eat here again.

This is a little store in a strip mall. I came here for late lunch on a work day. Not too many people. The inside looks like an authentic Vietnamese restaurant so I thought that was a good start. The owner (lady) took my order and said the Bun Bo Hue is her favorite so I went with that. Skipped the pork leg but asked for the blood. The soup was pretty flavorful. I would say it is complex and I would consider this being one of the better ones in the DFW area. I was pretty happy. The portion however was not a lot for the price. Overall a good place.

    Do they use MSG?

A small amount of delicious MSG.. it would be unlikely to find a pho place without it.. but there are many items on the menu without it.. like stir fry and fried rice

All the food had amazing flavors so I would recommend everything. My only note was the beef in the noodles was slightly chewy so I would suggest another protein option. The service was great. If you live in the area, it's a quality spot to get your soup dumpling fix. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, the first thing I noticed was Chef Sun's was very busy (great sign). The restaurant itself wasn't very memorable, and the table we sat at was next to a drink fridge and lots of traffic. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff at Chef Sun's was great, especially for a busy Chinese restaurant. The staff proactively kept our glasses full of water and were always on hand to help. Once we placed our order, food just kept coming from the staff as each dish was brought out piping hot and fresh. 1 Star. Food - The Xa Long Bao (soup dumplings) were nice and plump, freshly cooked and super-hot. This was the best part of the meal. The traditional Chinese dishes like their noodles were all a bit oily for my taste. Thee two appetizers - fried shrimp (very safe choice) were crispy without being greasy and the red dipping sauce was more sweet than spicy. And the spicy edamame was good. Overall plenty of good, but nothing super memorable. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only if I'm in the area and I want soup dumplings. Chef Sun's Noodle & Dumpling has some oily noodles and great dumplings. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here, but now that I know they exist, I'll stop by next time I want soup dumplings. 1/2 Star.

We walked into a relaxed and casual space that makes it a good spot for a warm meal, especially when we were looking for something filling. The interior feels calm and comfortable, with a laid-back atmosphere that encourages settling in and taking your time with the meal rather than rushing through it. The lighting is soft, and the seating is spread out enough that the room never feels cramped. The ramen is the main highlight, with the broths being the biggest part of the experience. We tried a few different options and found the tonkotsu had a rich and aromatic flavor, with a creamy texture that gave the bowls a satisfying depth. The Spicy Tonkotsu added some heat while keeping the broth flavorful, and the Black Tonkotsu brought a deeper roasted flavor profile that stood out from the more standard options. The portions are generous, and the bowls feel like a complete meal rather than just a quick noodle dish. The noodles themselves had a good chew, and the toppings, including the chashu and soft-boiled egg, were well prepared and added to the overall composition of each bowl. The appetizers are also worth trying, especially the pork buns, which are a popular choice and pair well with the ramen. We ordered the takoyaki and chicken karaage, both of which added some variety to the meal and made the restaurant a good option for sharing. The karaage was crispy and well seasoned, and the takoyaki had a soft interior with a nice exterior texture. The menu has enough options beyond ramen, including katsu dishes and other Japanese favorites, so there are choices for different cravings. Service was one of the stronger parts of the experience. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the food came out hot and prepared quickly. The pacing of the meal was comfortable, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. It can get busy during peak hours, but the overall experience still feels organized and the turnover moves efficiently. Maru Ramen is a solid ramen spot for anyone looking for flavorful broth, generous portions, and a comfortable dining experience. The combination of quality ramen, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a place worth returning to when you are craving a satisfying bowl of noodles. It delivers exactly what you hope for from a neighborhood ramen shop: a warm, well-made meal that feels both comforting and complete.
