Spring roll cut in half for $10. They asked if I wanted a full order or half. This is what I got. Ridiculous.

Charged me $10 for a to go order of 1 spring roll cut in half. Their pho is $25. If you know Vietnamese food, this isnt it. Overpriced and shady. Just take a look at the menu, its gotta be white people giving them 4 stars.

The Summer of Love it isn't always sunny outside in San Francisco. The only thing that's shines all the time in SF are the bright laptop and phone screens. If you are new to San Francisco welcome to lots of overcast days and that includes the Summer of Love . Overcast days outside are my favorite time to grab some soup. I wanted a soup which is refreshing and my chicken soup for the soul is Pho Ga ( I will have this soup even if it's 90 degrees outside). There are lots of San Francisco restaurants which have Pho in the name are usually good . Someone once told if it has Pho in the name or a number associated in the name to give it a whirl. I went to the Pho Vietnam at the border of the Polk Gulch on Polk street in San Francisco . I made my mind made up about getting the Pho but the menu has lots to choose from with items from Vietnam with a hint of French influences. I stuck with the Pho Ga since that's what I wanted. It had a tasty broth and the chicken was tender along with the noodles. The imperial rolls were delicious a little crispy and with good crunch when wrapped in lettuce, noodles and dipped in fish sauce which gave it a delicious flavor. Try the Vietnamese coffee. Give it a whirl. Each bowl of Pho Ga is Chicken soup for the soul go inside Pho Vietnam in San Francisco on a Summer of Love stroll [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although it's Summer in SF it's okay grab a shrimp Vietnamese Spring roll but the smell outside it's something you can't control just avoid the poop and make sure it doesn't get underneath your sole[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped in on my way home from work and got the bun Bo hue! Broth was flavorful, meat was tender and veggies were fresh. Quick and friendly service and very casual ambience.

Pho was great but the lemongrass fish a bit oily. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space is nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and some dishes very reasonably priced. The pho was big, tasty, and probably what I should have ordered too.

Cute pho restaurant with very nice owners. The pho was rich in beef flavor and the meat was nice and soft. I ordered a well done flank, brisket, and beef balls. The broth was very beefy and tasty. I don't think they use msg so the flavor is real and not as salty but I didn't mind because I add my own sauces which include enough salt and spice. The price is decent for the amount of pho you get and the overall experience was so nice.

Honestly, the best Pho hands down. Oh, and the imperial rolls! Been coming here for at least 5 years and we were terrified it wasn't coming back after Covid. Thank goodness. We need to keep local places like this around!

Alright pho the noodles are kinda soggy

"IT'S QUE VIET!"…read more No Superman here, but let me be your hero for a second because I'm about to put you on to, hands down, **the best Vietnamese food I've ever had**. I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.
