If you are allergic to any type of food, this is the place you may die. I am allergic to peanuts and when I broached the topic, I was told that I should leave. I've actually eaten here several times before without incident so I used this as a teaching moment about allergies. I explained about cross contamination and suggested that if they needed to do anything like chop my cilantro, to make sure that the cutting board was not one that had recently been used to chop peanuts. She took the order into the kitchen then came back out and started yelling at me. She said she was offended that I would even ask for "special" treatment or imply that there was anything "wrong" in their kitchen. Again, I tried the teaching moment thing. She had been eating her own lunch at a table next to mine and she picked up her meal, stomped to the other side of the restaurant and slammed her food back down on the table and sat there glaring at me for the remainder of my meal. Which was allergen free BTW. Mediocre, but non-lethal. If you have any allergies, you won't be able to have an adult conversation about it here so don't risk it. I certainly won't again. read more

We got pho to go on a cold winter night, and it was delicious. My vegetarian sister enjoyed the veggie pho quite a bit as well! Hers was LOADED with veggies to add to the broth. I had the rare beef slices, which were pretty great. My only complaint might be that the slices were so thin that they basically fully cooked in the broth on my drive home. Came in for my usual double order of spring rolls, and was excited to see they have updated the menu. Which now includes BOBA!!! Including avocado smoothies with boba!! Compared to the other places in Flagstaff selling boba, it's pretty good. The smoothie was a little ice heavy, but not watery and the boba was cooked well. I've only ever had positive experiences here! Love the food, the servers are always very friendly. Service is usually fast (save for busy nights, but that's to be expected). After waiting a half hour for a Boba drink I kindly asked my server, if he wasn't busy, for my drink. The server was very rude telling me he was busy, and he even had the audacity to clench his teeth at me. Went for a late dinner. Good service. Tasty food although the dishes ordered did not look like the ones pictured on the menu. A little disappointing but not a deal breaker. Husband and I shared a deep fried noodle with shrimp and vegetable dish and a vermicelli bowl with beef and veggies. We wanted the bowl with the pork and egg roll but the waitress recommended against it citing poor quality pork. Must've been leftover stuff since it was so close to closing time. Bad Vietnamese food, and over priced! I'm Vietnamese, so I know what I am talking about. And take my word for it. Let me start out with saying the quality tasted like the chef didn't cook the broth with bones to get that natural sweetness from the bones. Instead, the broth for their Pho, and Hu Tieu, tasted like they used the powder seasoning. The quality is over price for a bowl of soup! Five thinly sliced of beef for a bowl of pho, as a result we ordered a side of Beef ball which consist of two meat ball cut into quarter, they charged us $5 for two meat balls. It cost us $14 for a bowl of Pho that lack in flavor, noodle, and meat. The meat in the Hu Tieu was worse, four piece of small sliced pork, two XS shrimps, one quail egg, and one piece of XS squid. I will not come back and would choose other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. read more

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place one day and now we can't stop eating here. We go about 2-3 times a week. She always gets M1 and I always get P6 with extra noodles. I completely understand the issues others have had with the service at this restaurant as we experienced the same thing when we first started coming here, but I will admit the service has gotten better as we've been seeing new faces greet us more recently. Some of them don't speak very much English, but they are very friendly and attentive. The quality of our meals are excellent everytime and it's always brought out in a timely manner. Pho Vietnamese is not a good place to eat. I don't recommend anyone eat here. The service & food are awful. The service is very slow, and the food takes even longer to get out. Even an appetizer! We ordered spring rolls with pork. The pork tasted a couple of days old. It wasn't fresh. I ordered a chicken soup. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to, and instead was watery. Their Pho is the best I've had by far anywhere! I've tried pho in other restaurants or states. Their broth is absolutely mouth watering! Occasionally the staff can seem a little short/blunt/crude, but I can't complain with how good the food is. The beef phò is normally pretty yummy, and always comes in a pretty large serving. It's my favorite remedy when I'm feeling under the weather (which is often, given the climate). I can't believe the way my friend and I were treated yesterday. I used to love the food here- I decided to come here at around 4:30 pm. (Generally not a busy time for restaurants). We walked in and nobody said anything to us for about 5 minutes. Finally the young guy at the counter looked at us and said it would be about a 30-45 minute wait for all food. I said that would be fine. He still didn't seat us, so I looked around and saw there were plenty of open tables, they just needed to be cleared. We continued to stand for another 3 minutes until he came from the back and told us to "come back later" and they were "too busy". Granted this is AFTER I said that I had no problem waiting for the food. I have never in my lifetime been denied service at a restaurant, and I will assure you I will NOT be coming back ever again. read more

We (me, wife and 2 kids) arrive at 3pm for a late lunch. Despite only 2 other individuals there, our orders was brought out over half an hour. We ordered a bowl of pho, fried rice, and egg rolls. The food was very bland, actually flavorless. Hoisin sauce looked and tasted like they watered it down. Waitress was quick to take order but never came back for anything. We had to flag someone when we needed a waitress. Well over price for what you are getting. Well..it was good the first time I came here. The next time they didn't serve basil and the broth was so so. This time the broth tasted way off and a lady who came to deliver the pho completely ignored me, and they forgot about our spring rolls until after the meal...I don't want them anymore but thanks! My husband and I had gone here for a late lunch. Another couple that had come in a few minutes behind us. There were no problems getting seated, but we had to wait 15 minutes before our server came by to take our order. The table that came in after us already had their order taken and their appetizer. We had ordered 2 pho noodle soup and an order of egg rolls for our appetizer. 30 minutes passed before we got our food. The table after us had already come and gone. Our egg rolls didn't come before our meal and not with our soup. We had to flag out waiter down to inquire about our lost egg rolls and get some silverware to eat our food with. A few minutes later our egg rolls arrive... Cold. My noodle soup had 3 pieces of meat in it and the side of veggies that come with the pho noodle soup was pitiful. Three stalks of basil, a quarter slice of lime and a half a handful of bean sprouts for two bowls of noodle soup. The taste of everything was rather bland. In short we won't be returning. For the quality of food and service, this place is overpriced. read more

I have been to this restaurant several times. They have always had slower service than other places but their food was good, not great, but I've yet to find great in Flag. We decided to go to lunch there knowing it would be a wait but we were prepared for that. Ugh it was horrible. We arrived and were the only customers in the restaurant. It took awhile to get menus and water ( only One waiter on a Saturday) . Then we were told that they didn't have Bun's available that day, the reason we went in the first place. So we all settled on other dishes. Then were told the noodles were dry and we could get a Bun, we were ecstatic. People had started filtering in by this point. The poor waiter had a hard time keeping up. He came and told us they were out of pork so we made substitutions. Long story short they serve 9 people their food before we got ours. 2 people went up and requested refunds. We sat in that restaurant for 2 hours. Needless to say they have lost our business forever. read more

I would give it a 3.5 if I could. The food was actually pretty good. I had the combination vermicelli and my wife had the veggie pho with tofu. The pork in my dish was very tasty. The egg rolls were pretty good as well. Only negative remarks are that when we walked in a lot of the tables had dirty dishes. It seems we had just missed the dinner rush and everyone just got up and left. I think they are understaffed, because the guy that brought us our food started picking up the tables after he brought us our food. As mentioned in previous comments, the service isn't great. They are not rude but not friendly either. The restaurant has a TV but it was off. There was also no music so dinner was super quiet and a bit awkward since we were the only two. I wanted to take a picture of the restaurant but was afraid the server would get mad. IDK he just gave off that vibe. Overall good experience, but could use some work. I've been enjoying Vietnamese food for over 30 years. My favorite dish is Bun Thit Nguyen. The key ingredient is grilled thin sliced pork. If you get it wrong, the rest of the dish cannot be saved. Twice I've tried it at Pho AZ Vietnamese, and twice it was awful. They don't even grill the pork. They toss it in a frying pan and render it flavorless. Half the vegetables associated with this dish are left out entirely for some reason, making a bad dish even worse. Then they charge $10 for this dish I commonly buy in Phoenix for $6.95. And as others have mentioned, the owner seems quite grumpy and inattentive. He billed me $12 for my order and I had to show him his menu to get him to correct my bill. So many bad Vietnamese restaurants have come and gone in Flagstaff. Let's hope a new Vietnamese restaurant comes to town and shows us what great cuisine they have to offer. read more

I'm addicted to Vietnamese food. Tried it all around the country, and I have to say that this is the best I've had, save one other spot in Kentucky of all places. Super flavorful pho, extremely tender beef, and noodle bowls are off the hook delicious and huge. The service was, yes, bad in the past. I laughed with those reviews at one point in time. I even took a friend here tonight with that disclaimer. But as soon as we walked in, the nicest two guys were very quick and kind, Tim the waiter was honestly one of the most attentive and eager-to-please waiters I've experienced in flagstaff. It was clean, and the manager was receptive to my comments when we ran into her at the end. Service has improved immensely, will 100% be returning SOON. read more

Very good! I ordered chicken phö and spring rolls they where both great. Broth was well seasoned and a great portion of noodles. The waiter was very attentive and my water was never empty. It place was very clean and a few people were in the corner watching soccer when I sat down. Very much had that family feel to it. Will be back again. read more
