The owner came by to check on us and when we asked him his secret to the broth, he let us know he doesn't cut any corners... at least 12 hrs to cook it down with bones from grass-fed beef and he doesn't add any MSG! A surprise find in this area. Although the restaurant decor can use a face lift, the food is actually good. The food came out pretty authentic and they do have lunch specials. Their ice coffee was a very refreshing too. The chicken noodle soup was very savory which I think didn't need help from MSG Their fish sauce was a bit on the salty side, and we had to ask for extra lemon to balance it out. read more

Both the food and service were good. I've only tried their #5 pho with rare steak and it's one of the best I've had. Like I mentioned in another review, I'm not the biggest fan of pho so I'm no expert..But I've been to tons of pho spots being from LA. Portions are pretty fair, lots of noodles. They're not stingy about sauces and containers. The servers are great and do their jobs well. Parking is plentiful, but my friend had her (parked) car rear ended so beware. All in all I liked this place and would come again if I were in the area. I don't recommend the thai tea boba though.. It was pretty gross. I wouldn't drink it even if it were free. read more

If my husband and I want our fix of Vietnamese food it's only this place. If we ever get our favorite go-to entree rice vermicelli from another restaurant we end up comparing it to Pho Ever as pedestal to greatness. It fills you up with portion size but don't feel heavy as dishes always taste fresh. We have turned our family and friends to come here as well and keep coming back. read more

Food is awesome but the servers wore their masks half the time and didn't wash their hands much. They took money and then handled dishes of food. They have so many to go orders that keep the whole staff very busy, that leaves the diners poorly attended. There were sometimes 3 or more people sitting around waiting for pick up orders. No masks, no hand sanitizer's, no wiping if where their hands had been. The servers were eating and drinking also (too busy to be able to step away) and not washing or sanitizing! My wife and I are vegetarian regulars. There is no better tasting Vietnamese food. It's clean, has the right of spices for some pizzazz, the broths are hearty, the tofu has the right texture, the veggies are always fresh and cooked just right, not too raw or overcooked. Everything is delectable and there is no other place in town that I know to play tons of Beatles music. The personalities are the people are wonderful, they're personable without being overbearing or fake. The place is packed most evenings. The locals all flock to the place. Like many others this used to be my favorite pho place and agree something is off about the service lately. The server came up to my table and didn't say a single word besides just stare, no "hello" back to my hello or "are you ready?" etc., extremely awkward but I ordered. Then, as I waited 20 minutes for my rolls in an almost empty restaurant I got my water cup smacked VERY hard in front of me to the point where water spilled. Again, the server didn't say a word, just walked away, I thought maybe they were just having a bad day. There were a few other things not worth mentioning, but it was definitely the weirdest/worst experience I've had at this place and do not plan to come back. Ps: I thought maybe the server spoke little english and that's why they didn't say anything, which I was ok with, but then realized they did when they asked to see an ID so I have no clue what was going on. read more

A great little spot in Vista off of Melrose near the courts. I love that it's conveniently located off the freeway. The food was pretty good. They had a daily special that included a pick from any of their pho noodles, two egg rolls or spring rolls, and a soft drink. I am usually pretty nervous about eating tendon and what not because it looks like a necklace to me so I always get the pho with rare steak. It wasn't too bad but the broth didn't seem as flavorful as other places. It was still good though. And I especially likes the egg rolls prior to my noodles. They service was accommodating. Hands down to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. My favorite dishes are: 1. Tom cay(spicy shrimp), if you like spicy dishes and garlic, THIS is the one to go for! It's spicy at your preference, shrimp, garlic, corn, sausage comes with a side of bread or a side or rice, I always get bread so I can dip it. 2. Banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe): it's made out of rice flour, pan fried, shrimp, chicken, bean sprouts, or they have a vegetarian option, banh xeo chay (with tofu instead of meat). 3. Bun bo hue: lemon grass based broth! (Fav) 4. All the vegetarian dishes! There is a great variety of plates for my vegetarian people, YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED. Compared to a lot of the Vietnamese restaurants nearby, I would like to say that this restaurant in particular has a great variety of food, a little something for everyone, from pho - rice dishes. Shout out to Huan, for always taking care of his customers and treating them more than just a customer. Before leaving don't forget to get a coffee togo! They had me at the name! I love Ph. Growing up in the Alaskan bush, we had lots of soup but nothing even remotely close to Vietnamese style noodle soup. Pho-Ever is a great restaurant with friendly staff and great prices. The seating area is laid out well and the service was quick. Everything I've had here is delicious! From the appetizers to the main entrees. I recommend any spring or egg roll, the chicken wings, curry, beef stew, stir-fry, or pho. For my 100th review I wanted to review a place we really and truly enjoy! Here are the things that I love about this place: Vegetarian spring rolls - fresh rice paper, fried tofu! Crunchy things in the center, maybe fried onion? Idk! All know is that they're fat and fresh! Vegetarian Pho with steamed tofu. Lots of fresh, crunchy veggies.
