    Vermicelli bowl.
    Karen M.

A bright and pretty place! I picked up an order of a vermicelli bowl with grilled shrimp and egg rolls. Pros: veggies were bright and crisp and fresh! Excellent fish sauce. Nice sized portion. Cons: My shrimp were dry, overcooked and cold. My egg rolls were also cold and not freshly made, imho. They had a "very" strong cinnamon taste to the filling, almost as if someone accidentally dumped way too much cinnamon in the filling. It was just not to my taste. Most of my noodles were clumped together and dried out lwhen I tried the meal a bit later. I would happily return to try some curry or pho when the weather shifts. A happy addition to this neighborhood! Targeting communication network defense site

Great little neighborhood place off of Thunderbird and 7th. The service team was very friendly and made you feel at home right away. Started with the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. Server told us they were fairly large and they were. But the filling was all noodles, lettuce, and cucumber with shrimp that was cut in half just on the exterior. Peanut sauce was tasty and not filled with cornstarch as thickener. Ordered the steak and brisket pho. The steak was sliced very thin as was the brisket. I'm used to have these items raw on top of the pho and you would mix in all your veggies, herbs, citrus, jalapeño and it would cook in the broth. These came already fully cooked in the broth. The broth had a little more sugar as it was very sweet compared to other pho broth I'm familiar with. Also ordered the grilled pork with rice. Pork was spicy marinade that was cooked on the flat top and not grilled with a very crispy well done fried egg. A little tomato and cucumber salad on the side. Overall food was pretty good and the servers were very friendly. Fun part, food was delivered by robot which was very unexpected in this corner family restaurant. Restaurant was clean and super inviting. If you're in the neighborhood, come try this place.

Flavors are amazing here. Perfect balance. Right amount of savory to sweetness and to the crunch of the deep fried taro cake in an egg pancake. I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants and this one is really great. Excellent portion to price. Just good eating! I didn't try the pho since I just had that for lunch the same day at Da Vang.

Excellent service from Jade & Vicky, we loved our dinner here! I had the Shrimp & Noodle Pho with Beef brisket, and my boyfriend had the Eggplant with Tofu, and Chow Mein Combo with beef, chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. We loved it all especially the pho and Eggplant with Tofu! We also enjoyed the Strawnana smoothie, and the Taro Boba tea. Lovely relaxing lounge jazzy music with plants throughout made the atmosphere nice and enjoyable.

The food was delicious and did not take much time to come out. The menu had a good amount of options I feel like there was something for everyone! The restaurant was very relaxing to sit in with all the plants & decor but I do feel the tables could be cleaned better, we had sauce splattered all over the condiments and the table # sign, on the table. The service was decent but I personally feel was a little lazy with the robot bringing the food to the table as we were the only ones there. Some feedback for one of the soups: The Royal Special Pho, for $20 the meat could have been fresher and all the meat aside from the meatballs was far overcooked, chewy which makes me think it was not fresh. We will still absolutely be back again and continue to support our local Pho!

I was craving Vietnamese food and I had been eyeing Royal Pho ever since they got the new signage. I checked out the menu online and saw they had a vegetarian section of the menu so I quickly jumped in my car to get some take out. Royal Pho is located within the Moon Valley plaza -- I can't recall the actual name but it is kind of up past Wells Fargo. It was a 3:30pm on a Saturday but the place was kind of empty and there was some music playing but overall it seemed to lack ambiance -- that was ok because I was only ordering out. I was getting take out so I went straight up to the counter and placed my order -- I ordered Vegetarian egg rolls, vegetarian vermicelli and and Vegetarian Thai basil with rice. Luckily they mentioned that it had eggplant in the thai basil dish because the description did not mention eggplant -- I go back and forth on my love of eggplant so I asked them to remove the eggplant -- I should have had them replace it with broccoli because when I opened the box for the thai basil it looked pretty sad -- it was pretty flavorful -- the tofu in this dish had a very yummy sauce that coated it but overall it seemed like it was definitely missing something. The vermicelli was kind of flavorless -- I know you pour the "fish" sauce over but maybe because it was vegan fish sauce it didn't pack the flavor that is really needed for this dish. I was excited for the pickled carrots but there were like two little slivers - mostly cucumbers and I should have ordered a lime because I do like a bit of citrus with this dish. The tofu on this dish was overcooked and didn't have any flavor. I smothered it with chili crunch when I got home and that helped. I did enjoy the egg rolls however the order only had three and this was for two people so we had to split one of the rolls -- had I known I guess I would have ordered two portions (but that would have been too much...) I am giving this three stars because overall it lacked flavor -- they didn't even ask how spicy I wanted it -- next time I will offer the information, and also because it was expensive IMO -- $50 with tip -- I guess I should have left less of a tip but I am just programmed. I am curious how the Pho is -- they do have veggie pho -- so I might go back when I have a craving.

First off, the location on google maps is slightly off, it's on the corner of the complex. The building won't say "Royal pho" but have "PHO" and a small "thunderbird" written on the pho bowl. They used to not be open on Sunday, but we were excited to see their new hours. It's large and spacious inside, quite clean. Starting off strong, they actually provided a lime for toppings! First time seeing that in the general north phx area. Didn't love it in my water tho...I liked all of the condiments offered and contained utensils. Idk what it is with the chili oil in this area either but this one wasn't spicy at all. The broth off bat was nice, more on the sweeter side. But then it goes down hill as the noodles were wayyyy overcooked and wayyyy too much noodles and not enough broth- this was the regular size mind you. I'd rather have less food that's properly prepared. Also not very much brisket here unfortunately. Sadly it just wasn't the best bowl, wouldn't return :(

The food was delicious. At spice slowly! Service was quick and servers were friendly! Good music, not too loud.

Was feeling under the weather today so stopped in for some pho tai and egg rolls. This place has been solid since they've opened. It's nice having a spot close to home that checks the box when sick or after a festive evening. The robot server is a fun thing to see as well.

    Pho dac biet
    Norm R.

I have been here twice now since the weather started turning cooler. Both times I ordered pho dac biet, the standard by which I evaluate Vietnamese restaurants because it is an "everything" pho - with meatballs, thin slices of beef and chicken, pieces of tendon, and in the case of this restaurant, a beef rib as well. It came with the requisite side plate of fresh Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeno slices, and wedge of lime. The pho broth is very tasty and full flavored, and the proteins were really good with none of the stored-in-the-freezer taste that seems commonplace in a lot of other restaurants. And the tendon was melty tender, the way it should be, unlike the more rubbery tendon pieces you would find in some other places that serve pho. Service is excellent, prices are good, location is convenient and parking is no issue.

    Pork spring roll

I've been eating Vietnamese food for years and at one point had Pho 30 days straight in Culver City CA. Royal Pho is without a doubt the absolute best Vietnamese food I've ever had, including Vegas at Spring Mountain Road. The Bahn Mi French baguette is brought in weekly from Los Angeles. The level of love that goes into this restaurant and dishes is awesome. Every dish is made with love and the restaurant is charming, spotless, and staff knows how to make you feel special. Love this place so much.

I've been a couple times now. Dining area is quite large will seat big party. I've had pho and tried the fried rice. Lunch special is nice get a drink, entree and egg rolls for $20? Dinner time is a little pricy. There isn't much competition in this area good thing food tastes good. They had a robot serve the food. It was interesting.

We happened upon a charming restaurant situated right along the road just past the 17th Street traffic lights and a rather marvelous discovery it turned out to be. They even accommodate reservations, which is always a reassuring touch for a well-planned afternoon. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find a wonderfully convenient parking spot, which immediately set a relaxed tone. Stepping inside, the venue was beautifully lively and bustling with a wonderful crowd, yet it maintained a thoroughly nice, comfortable atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with immense warmth, and I found their level of hospitality to be entirely satisfactory. To commence the luncheon, I ordered a Thai Tea my very first and it was absolute perfection. They also offer a selection of desserts, which I shall certainly have to explore on a future visit. When it came to selecting my entrée, our waiter was exceedingly nice, explaining the menu with the utmost patience. Following his guidance, I chose the Wonton Noodle Soup with ribs. The kitchen's timing was impeccable; precisely fifteen minutes later, it was presented at our table. The dish was a absolute triumph the noodles paired with the rich, savory ribs were utterly exciting to the palate. This establishment has officially earned a very special place in my diary. The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

While we looked at the menu, I couldn't decide what alcohol I wanted, spirit, beer, sake, wine, etc.. finally order sake bomb with Asahi and the bartender came over and let me sample one of the sours - just cause! I'm awesome! Thank you! Wish I had room to order! For dinner we did: - Filet Spring Roll - Chuck Norris Spring Roll - grandma Trans firecracker wings - Crispy Rice on sizzling plate with Filet My words cannot describe how amazingly delicious it all was. The spring rolls were equally filling, flavorful, refreshing, and savory! Flavor explosion! The firecracker wings drenched in the spicy sauce was so good, we kept dipping some of our kids fries in the sauce! Lastly the Crispy Rice dish with filet, WOW! A bite of that, with some broth on the side. I couldn't easily swear it's one of the most savory dishes I've had in AZ. What a hidden gem! On top of this, as a parent, it's always stressful eating outside of your own home with your kiddos, but the staff/owners were so accommodating, I felt comfortable and grateful! The place is very clean inside, nicely decorated, and had background music playing (I hate places that are dead silent). A nice spot for me and my girlfriend to enjoy our lunch and talk over a bowl of pho. I was intrigued by the veggie pho because they used baby corn, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and asparagus. I don't really like vegetable broth so I asked if the broth could be their beef broth which they said was ok. My girlfriend had the chicken pho like she usually does and we shared a spring roll. I have to say that I was blown away with how delicious my pho was. It had such a nice clean beef flavor that you love when enjoying pho. The vegetables worked incredibly, but I' sure any of their beef options are stellar (I just wanted veggies). No doubt one of the more memorable broths that's I've had in a long time! My girlfriend's pho was also super flavorful and had a nice aroma as well. She ended up eating all the broth and had a bunch of leftover noodles and chicken. I would really recommend not serving the chicken diced in cubes because you can't get those nice chopsticks full of noodles and chicken. The roll we ordered was good, but probably not something I'd get again. They use filet mignon for it, but I think I would prefer to have them use a less expensive cut and give me 2X the meat. Finally our server Enrique was cool and very attentive and let us know about their Sunday pho special which was great. This place might not be as traditional as the other places where you see the entire family working and have the beat up menus, but it's they definitely make pho worth checking out for yourself.

I've been to is a huge amount or like a generous amount of that sauce dividend but I got like barely anything so I was like trying to scoop it at the end, but yeah, definitely funky tasting rolls. The pho itself consisted mostly of noodles and a decent amount of meat at least but with the combination, I felt like the tendon they just gave the biggest chunks possible, which were extremely hard to try to bite through unusual for me to come across I love tripe and tendon the most in the combos, the regular size is generously sized tho no need to pay extra for a larger size unless you're really hungry the flavor of the broth tasted good nothing special but it was a alright meal prob won't come back but I don't think it was entirely a waste of time
