P42 (XL) - Extra large sized bowl of house special assorted beef pho was really a decent option to try since it had some well-done flank, rare beef, beef ball, beef tripe and soft tendon. The extra large size could be fine for someone with a big appetite and ingredients are pretty much the same as what's in the large size bowl. A good accompaniment to the pho is their appetizer A1 - "Vietnamese style" deep fried spring rolls*. They're crunchy, crispy, filled with pork and shrimp, and served with a bit of lettuce salad. These spring rolls are some my top picks here. To add variety to the meal the appetizer A5 - Deep fried battered tofu (10 pieces) served with a tangy sweet chili sauce was a way to add some protein packed appetizers to the meal. The flavour from the crab was unpleasantly pronounce though, almost as if the crab meat used for the soup was not at its best. My bahn cahn was perhaps the most disappointing item as I had high hopes for this noodle soup which is rarely found in Viet restos we frequent. Although the broth was complex and tasty (still salty), the toppings for this special seafood noodle soup were rather lacking. The biggest disappointment was the noodles though. It was not the bouncy tapioca & rice flour Vietnamese udon I was excited for, instead, the restaurant used the store bought Japanese udon noodles (wheat noodles) which was a real let down for me. Our overall experience here was not great, so it's doubtful that we would return for another visit.

If you scroll and look at my recent photos of the rib pho dish, they've chopped the rib up into smaller pieces so it's easier to eat and they also provide scissors so you can cut through the meat and take out. We couldn't finish it so we packed it home and air fry the ribs for more texture. We especially like the clear vermicelli from their egg and clear noodle section.
