I'm so glad I finally gave PhoXpress a try. These guys opened during the HOT summer months, and I just wasn't feeling compelled to trying a bowl of Pho. However, after being faced with the dreadful question "what do you want to eat?" yet again, I thought I'd take the plunge and give it a try. I ordered the pork noodle bowl w/ egg rolls to-go. If you eat with your eyes, you'll be pleased. The bowl was arranged beautifully. The taste was surprisingly refreshing with the bright sauce, fresh cilantro, mint, and cucumbers. It's actually perfect for summer. Bonus points for the paradisal atmosphere and welcoming staff. I am eager to return to try other items on the menu. read more

True to its name, PhoXpress is pretty speedy and convenient! It has a great location in Brier Creek and plenty of parking. My friend and I both ordered the rare beef pho bowl (about $9) at the counter and then found a seat. PhoXpress's interior is quite tastefully done and manages to combine modern chic + rustic Vietnamese + bamboo. Possibly the cleanest pho restaurant I've ever been. Our bowls of pho came out pretty quickly, with a lime slice and a small sauce dish of chili oil, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. The only thing I'd change about it is that the jalapenos and bean sprouts were already at the bottom of the bowl and it was spicier than I would have liked, even after I spooned the jalapenos out of the bowl. I would also have preferred to just have hoisin sauce because the chili oil seeped into the hoisin and again made it a bit spicier than I wanted! If you are all about spice though, this pho has a kick to it. Broth was pretty delicious and noodles cooked just right, but I would've liked a bit more beef, especially because the beef meatballs are sliced really thinly instead of including a larger chunk of meatball. Although this looks like a chain it is managed by a sweet family. I love that the recognize me when I return each time. This is my go to quick House Special Pho place. Serving sizes a larger and I love that you can get 3 Summer Rolls in an order. The decor was well thought out and makes the dine in experience interesting. I'd never had bubble tea until I came here and my favorite so far is the strawberry. I've also tried Vermicelli Noodles dish and it is amazing. read more

We have been going here for years and have no intention of stopping! Excellent rare beef pho and chicken spring rolls (the fresh ones with peanut sauce, but their fried veggie rolls are also good)! Have also enjoyed their chicken wings and fried rice. My husband loves their Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk - it's strong and sweet! I like to take mine home and mix with milk for my version of a Vietnamese iced latte. Their boba is also good. They are great for dine in or pickup. We have been doing pick up throughout the pandemic and they keep everything separate and fresh for you. A little box of all pho add-ins (herbs, meat, noodles, etc) and broth are separate so you can heat up the broth and add everything else once it is piping hot. read more

I chose this place for its multitude of good reviews, and I don't know what was going on today, but it definitely did not live up to expectations. First, they charged me for boba in my tea, when I didn't ask for boba, and it was a separate item on the menu. Second, we went to the restaurant and got our food as takeout. By the time we walked 50 feet down to a table in front of Moes, where our friends were eating, the broth was cold. I suspect it was never heated, because it's a 70 degree day, and it shouldn't get cold that fast. Because of this, the noodles were hard in the bowl, and the broth did not soften them. It also did not cook the rare beef, so we had cold broth with uncooked noodles and raw meat. The broth was super unauthentic, the only thing I could taste was clove, and otherwise it just tasted really watery. For the price, I was pretty upset about getting two bowls of inedible food, but the store had a sign claiming "no refunds or exchanges for wrong orders". I guess I'll just count it as a loss, and we will not be returning to Pho Xpress. read more

I'd give zero stars if possible. We ordered to-go so we could sit outisde with some friends. The broth was cold, and I don't mean warm I mean cold! The broth was not seasoned right and the noodles were raw (because the broth was cold and didn't cook it) and in turn the beef was also not cooked due to this. It was EXPENSIVE for a meal that was ice cold and they gave us a boba tea when we didn't order boba, just regular tea. And charged us extra for boba. It was really disappointing and the worst pho I've ever had and I never say that. read more

Very impressed! It was modern, clean, and a nice overall vibe. This is a fast casual joint that serves fresh, delicious food unlike most I've had in the area. My boyfriend and I both had pork Bahn MI and found the sandwiches to be perfectly sauced, fresh, and well constructed. We both found the portion satisfying and the egg roll a nice touch (although I thought it was a tad chewy). One thing that really impressed me was a printed out allergen sheet for peanut and gluten allergies! I thought this was a considerate touch. I do wish it listed other popular ones like tree nuts. I'm not the best to measure authenticity, but this food was delicious. Service was friendly and good. My boyfriend was eyeing some hot sauce and one of the guys came over with a big smile and warned it's spicy. I thought it was nice. Pretty good food fast. Limited menu so once order is placed, food is brought out quickly (at least at dinner time). The house special beef pho I had had pretty savory broth. All the herbs (basil, sprouts, etc.) were pre-added in, instead of being provided on side. So I have no choice of how much to add. I had to ask for extra hoisin & sriracha sauce. The little bit that was provided was not enough for me. Also deep fried onion (or was it garlic) was included with the small plate along with the hoisin & sriracha sauce. Curious addition. I ordered online for pick up and it is my first time to try this pho. I ordered triple jalapeño ,double tendon(paid $5.50) and no cilantro because I can't eat cilantro. When I opened my order at home, there's triple extra cilantro no jalapeños no tendon. So disappointed here they don't care about customers order specially no Cilantro and double extra tendon which is I paid it. Taste is good but I feel like waist my money at this time. Who doesn't love a bowl of hot pho on a cold rainy day? What you expect is a broth filled with tons of flavor and maybe just a tiny shimmer of some fat rolling around. What you get at PhoXpress is a luke warm bowl of slightly seasoned water. I didn't taste the star anise, no cinnamon, no onion or garlic. And it was SUPER clear which in some cases is a good thing but not in pho. Ordered the pho tai (rare beef) with meatball. The beef was not sliced thinly enough and was not rare. In this case that turned out to be fine because the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it any further. The meatballs were outstanding! The bowl was GIGANTIC so if you're in to quantity over quality this is a perfect spot. Where was my plate of fresh veg? Already in the bowl no extra jalapeño and no way to add extra crunch from the sprouts as you work your way through the bowl. Gui Con was also gigantic too much for 1 person but the ingredients were super fresh. Peanut dipping sauce was way over processed. But that's ok because I like mine with hoisin and siracha Iced coffee was way more ice than coffee. 1 bowl of pho, 1 order of gui con, 1 cafe su da = $24.95 (included tip). Pricey but lots of bland but super fresh food if you're into that kinda thing. read more

Pho seems to be expensive. Rice Noodles are too soft with few veggies are already mixed where as the others serve fresh bean sprouts, basil's, and jalapenos. I would not recommend for pho. read more

I'm not sure why there are negative reviews saying their dishes lack flavor. Everything I've ordered here has had really nice flavor, especially their pho and fried rice. The portions are a good size for the price. Their bubble teas are also quite good. This is one of my favorite places to order from and I highly recommend it. read more

Love this place. I have been about five times since I just discovered it a few months ago. I always get the tofu noodle salad bowl and I add avocado. I've got this every time. Pretty good pho in the brier creek area. I do think phoxpress stands out from the rest of the pho places since the decor is very tastefully done and modern. Unfortunately, the day we went, the AC was broken or something so we had to eat our pho while sweating from the heat--they had fans running to help cool down. THe pho came out quickly and was pretty tasty. I personally prefer softer pho noodles and PhoXpress makes them exactly how I like it. I think the prices are on par with other places so no complaints there. read more

First time at restaurant and wanted an order to go. Menu was very limited compared to what I am used to for noodle bowls/soup. Person in front of us ordered fried rice. That wasn't even on the menu so we asked about expanded menu. Young man said it may be on the online menu. It wasn't.. Once we got home I had to construct my soup in a bowl at home before I could eat. Was a bit disappointed by that. They had to microwave it to brown beef a little. I even asked about the beef not being raw before I ordered. Wife ordered a dry noodle plate. It was dry for sure...she was not given any sauce. Was not sure why when it was supposed to come with a sauce. Overall, not impressed, will not return even if eating there. No, it was not good. Maybe it was because we got take out? I dont know. The ingredients did not look very fresh or well looked after and to be honest the portions were pretty meager. As far as taste goes you can pretty much copy/paste what I wrote about Mekong as far as lacking depth of flavor and missing ingredients, accept that here there is an extra layer of...carelessness. Disinterest? At least at Mekong I feel like in the kitchen theres a batch of broth for the customers that is mild and pedestrian and then there's a batch for the staff that tastes authentic and rich. I don't think that's happening here at Pho Xpress. It's a chain and it tastes like it. It's like the difference between a place known for awesome burgers and a $1 menu burger at a drive-through. YUMMMM!! I am so happy I discovered this place. They have the best Banh Mi around. When I lived in D.C. I had plenty of options for a good Banh Mi and when I moved down here I did not expect to have such a hard time to find one. Well after living here for almost three years I was successful!!! I went to PhoXpress during my lunch break and it was quiet busy. But the service was fast and friendly. The place itself is very modern and nice. I had no problems finding a parking spot but it was a little difficult to get there. NOW the most important part - I ordered the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and it came to my surprise with a fried egg roll, crab chips and Pho broth. I ordered for to go and I wish I didn't because when I got back to my office, my sandwich was super soggy. It still didn't keep me away from eating it because I was so damn hungry lol. And Gosh so happy I ate it :) Even thought it was soggy it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The flavors where on point. The bread was delicious even thought one side was soggy, the other side was luckily still crispy. The fried egg roll was good to but the sauce that came with it was weird tasting and the chips where soggy, so I did not try them. But it sure is a nice complimentary for sure and the Pho broth had zero salt, so I am not sure how their Pho taste like there. I sure will be coming back more often to get Banh Mi but not sure if I will try their Pho since I did not like their broth. read more
