Pho Zaaap has a lot of moving parts. Pho is in the name. Most people associate pho with Vietnamese cuisine. There are also references to Thai and Laotian cuisine. Since pho was in the name, I got a House Pho. I also ordered their App Sampler. The pho was about average. The broth didn't really pop for me flavor-wise. The noodles were a bit overcooked. The meat, veggie ingredients, and accoutrements were pretty good. I liked the App Sampler better than the Pho. My favorite parts were the curry puffs and the money bags. The choice of three dipping sauces was a nice touch. Inside was fine, but not really a selling point. Service was OK. If I returned, I would probably try a Thai or Laotian entree to see if that's a driver of the high overall Yelp rating. 3.5 Stars

Ordered the drunken noodle at a level 3 and woooooo lawd, that was spicy lol I can't imagine what a 5 is? Anywho besides the heavy spice, the dish was delicious...I will most definitely be returning again! The young lady at the pickup counter was pleasant as well!

I love that I found this place!! Since moving in the area I been looking for a reliable Thai food restaurant. The first few times I ordered take out from a delivery app and they instantly became a favorite take out in a rainy or snowy days. I have also dine in and always have to get their crispy roll. Their portions are decent. I usually can share my pho or any soup with my sister. The service is always good either eating in or picking up or ordering delivery. The chili oil is made in house and is delicious and must add to your broth.

We have been looking for a pho place for awhile but haven't been able to find a good place in New Haven area but this place was amazing. My husband said that the pho was really good. The sampler appetizer was delicious and so were the fish cakes. Service was great, will definitely come back!

If you are looking for Thai Food. Recommend this restaurant not expensive. Try lunch special menu or bento box meal. Very delicious

Overall I had a great time here. Definitely have had better Pho elsewhere but I enjoyed the food they served here at Pho Zaaap. Their thai iced tea is so yummy though. Services were great and very friendly. Would come back to try other items on the menu

The food here is amazing! I always get the yellow curry with rice and it's a 10/10. The staff is also very friendly.

Labor-day. Should've known most places are closed or packed. Pho Zaaap was open, we stumbled upon this restaurant as we were driving around. Pho Zaaap has a large parking lot, and as we walked in only one couple had just paid the bill and was leaving. It is a nice size restaurant, with a simple but inviting decor. We ordered Pho, Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Spicy Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon. The service was quick, and the dishes were of good size, and taste. It was nice to eat here on Labor-day 2021. The AC was a bit on the cold side, but we enjoyed our experience at Pho Zaaap.

This was a great place!! Highly recommend!! The crab Rangoon tasted good. Pad Thai was great!!!! The noodles were perfectly cooked, not too soft and the flavor was so good! The Pineapple fried rice was really good too! The portion was great! I had some leftover too that I'm excited to eat lol the flavor was definitely top tier! Can't wait to go back!! The service was great too, the waitress was super kind. Plenty of seating area too!

The place had a really nice and chill vibe, really nice decor and a great spot for a somewhat nice lunch. They were serving their lunch menu and I ended up getting the mussels pad Thai, and a chicken curry puff appetizer and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was solid, and the chicken curry puffs were very good. But the stand out was the pad Thai. I've never had a creamy pad Thai and this was amazing. So flavorful. I didn't know what to expect with the mussels but I loved the mussels in the shell and it added a great flavor to the dish! I will definitely be coming back again to order this, and try some of their other items!

This is supposedly the best Thai restaurant in Connecticut. Delicious!…read more Crab Fried Rice: The rice grains were separate and refreshing, but lacked wok hei 鑊氣, resembling crab meat and scrambled eggs mixed with rice. The sauce was similar to Thai seafood sauce, but thicker, with a very strong garlic kick. Mixing it into the rice added a clever touch, cutting through the richness without making it soggy. Long Island Duck Pineapple Curry: Recommended by the owner. My first time trying a sweet and sour curry; the refreshing pineapple balanced well with the rich curry. The duck was just okay, mainly because it was too dry. Mango Sticky Rice: A pleasant surprise; my parents also loved it. The coconut milk had a strong sea salt and caramel flavor, likely due to the addition of coconut sugar or palm sugar. Steamed Vegetables: Just steamed vegetables, without any seasoning. A sprinkle of salt would have made it tastier.

Shhh, don't tell anyone!…read more But also tell everyone you know! Let it Be is a chic, cozy little hole in the wall spot on Dixwell which although you can easily miss, you won't want to because it's a legend of a Thai restaurant. AMBIANCE - 8/10 When you walk inside, you're greeted by a familiar friendly smile (? one of the owners) before being seated amongst brightly colorful interior decor. They play relaxing Thai classics and sometimes switch it up with familiar and vibey pop songs. It's a small space, but is never overcrowded, and there's conveniently plenty of parking in the back. FOOD - 9/10 The food here is incredible. I've tried multiple Thai places in and around the New Haven/Hamden area and Let it Be has got them all beat. Not only are the flavors authentic and high quality, but prices are fair and the dishes are well-portioned. Best of all, they're made with so much heart. Every bite has felt like a journey back home to South East Asia. SERVICE - 9/10 The service here has been phenomenal. Our friendly server is welcoming, prompt, and responsive to our needs. When a dish we asked for wasn't available, he took the time to find similar dishes for us. He also takes the time to make friendly conversation and share with us the history of some of the special dishes. Visits here always just feel like a pitstop at a friendly neighbor's. The only thing is that it can take a bit of time for the food to come out, which is natural as the dishes are likely made to order. OVERALL - 9/10 From the Thai staples (pad thai, red and green curries) to the more avant garde (larb kai but in a bánh mì / hoagie style sandwich?! woah!), this place does it all the right way. If you couldn't tell by now, this is my absolute favorite Thai place and I could not recommend it enough. Ally's Recs: Pad Thai (8/10) - cannot go wrong with a classic Pad See Ewe (9/10) - another classic! tastes great with a squeeze of lime Let it Be Thai Curry (9/10) - delicious house curry; they combo the curries well to create a creamy sweet and savory mixture that always leaves you wanting more Thai Tea (8/10) - if you're down for a treat, the condensed milk hits every time! Longan Juice / Tea (7/10) - refreshing and comes with a bunch of juicy longans on top. such a unique offering!

Hopefully they're doing a big takeout business because we were the only ones inside for dinner. Granted it was 8:30pm, but they are open until midnight. They were accommodating by turning the heat up on this chilly night. They also put on current Thai music for us after we asked about the American music being played. They offered my wife a syrupy lychee drink on the house to take care of the extra heat that she wasn't expecting. They put a bit of a different spin on their version of some popular dishes so don't be mad if it's not what you get at other Thai restaurants. Check out our pics. It was all excellent!

The location in in between two pizza places on the North Haven side of Rt 5 in Wallingford. It's our go-to take out place. Recently we dined in and it was even better. Their tom kha is so flavorful. The green curry beef noodle dish was huge and delicious with the right amount of spice. Unassuming simplicity inside with more take-away orders than diners, it seemed. But dining area was nice. Food- spring rolls are always good. However, I will say my go to is generally the pad Thai. Sometimes it is spot on and other times it almost tastes like there are different cooks, and it where it tastes like it came from a wok that is too hot/singed flavor and the right flavors just aren't there. I did notice they changed to more biodegrading to go products which is nice though! My family member got the Massaman Currt and reported it was not as good as usual, this time around it was very soupy with minimal spice. I've never eaten inside but this looks like a small hole in the wall spot from the outside , it is very quaint.
