Buyer beware. I purchased a unit for my Yukon to install. I noticed that the installation manual link on the website didn't work. When I contacted Customer Service, they mentioned that they don't have an installation manual for my vehicle - a 2017 GMC Yukon. The package arrived within about a week. The box looked pretty rough and looked like it had been used multiple times. Lots of tape that had been cut open and retaped on the outside of the box, and cut open, retaped, etc. I opened the box to find the unit damaged, the knob broken, and the corner of the unit poking thru the side of the box. The box used for shipping was too small for the actual unit so it couldn't lay flat and was at an angle so the corner was forced into the side of the box. There wasn't much plastic wrapping and more than half of the bubbles popped on the wrapping so there wasn't much protection for the unit. I contacted customer service with lots of pictures of the damaged unit but they wanted me to file a shipping claim. The issue wasn't a shipping issue, it wasn't packaged correctly which led to the damage. I had to go back and forth with them to return the unit. Once it was returned, they told me that it was damaged and only gave a partial refund. Of course, it was damaged, this is why I want to return it. I keep going back and forth with them to get a full refund and am still fighting with them. I would stay away from this company. I think they are sending out broken units hoping that shipping insurance will take care of it. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST, I placed an order for a radio, it was the lower version for an infiniti at about $650. It showed in stock and no indication that it was not. Phoenix Automotive took my money then 4 or 5 days later they contacted me letting me know that the radio I ordered is no longer in stock and that if I wanted a radio they would send me the next one up - BUT I would have to pay more for it. This is typical of a "Bait and switch" tactic - "Bait and switch" advertising is grounds for an action of common-law fraud, unjust enrichment, and sometimes breach of contract. A "bait and switch" is also a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. The communication with phoenix automotive is close to zero - I waited over a week for someone to NOT answer my e-mails or text messages. Avoid this place cheap garbage head unit. I purchased Tesla style for my Lexus 07, is250 I paid to have it installed. There was no directions. I was able to get them to email me a wiring diagram. After Everything was plugged in according to their diagram, none of the buttons work. Had my Dash torn apart only to have to put my OEM unit back in. I was replacing due to my unit having a white screen and limited functions. so I'm out money paying someone to install something that doesn't work not one button work. no climate control, no airbags, no hazards. This is garbage. The company is very difficult to deal with. all their links are Google docs and it won't allow me to login to make appointments. I called made an appointment with tech. nothing but problems! wrong instructions provided and I sent dozens of emails over a couple months time, never getting my questions answered. finally took it to a stereo shop to install and they had make a mini usb cable to get the screen to turn on finally. the screen is too dark to see in daylight and backup camera is useless. then we found it is android 9, an operating system that was introduced in 2018 and security updates ceased in 2021. While steering wheel controls worked the music, the info display no longer worked. No access to critical vehicle info like oil life, tire pressure, milage or trip. No vehicle settings availabl, cannot change key fob parameter, lights, horn, interior delay, all was lost. Wired carplay cables do nothing, carplay would only work through bluetooth which disconnected the hotspot and left the unit without internet connection. Does a full 2-3 minute boot up, fast boot only works 2-3 times then a full boot happens. Several times the screen turned on in the middle of the night on its own, many times music is playing but the screen is black and only volume works, no other buttons have an affect. now its out of their 120 day warranty and they will not refund although its been their fault it took so long with every email I sent taking a week or longer to reply to and then not answering the question. I paid $600 for this junk and a friend bought one from Amazon for $180, it took 15 minutes to install and it has worked flawlessly for 6 months now. So here is how the scam goes, They send a stereo, that is faulty or has a bug in the system that does not work from day one. Then stall with all kinds of excuses including "we sent the replacement part you need". Next they push the empty promises just until the one year mark, and tell you to file a claim with the insurance company that never does anything. OR tell you, you have to pay for shipping, repairs, and them to send it back because it is past the year mark. Clever! Their customer service is horrible, they'll do whatever it takes to get you off the phone as soon as possible even if it means lying. On three seperate occasions I've been told "we'll give you a call back" no call back ever comes, my hazard lights don't work and my cars audio is horrible no one seems to be able to fix it. I tried making an appointment and guess what no one called me again I called back the next morning very frustrated because I don't have all day to wait I have work for christ sake, the person I talked to said the appointment was never made and that the next available appointment is at 11:40 which doesn't work for me becuase I have work apparently that was the only appointment for the whole day so now I have to wait till tomorrow and my speakers aren't even working. Dont believe these positive reviews, I'm pretty sure they are written by somone who works at the company. This company has THEE worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. To start I recieved my product like after 4 months. While waiting for it i would ask about it and would get a generic email stating that we are working on this request. That's it. When I finally recieved my screen and had it installed and running it stopped working after about 3 weeks when it wouldn't turn off completely and drain my car battery. When I contacted customer service I had to submit pictures and a video. Then they tell me i need to take apart my dash while they are on the phone with me to troubleshoot the issue. By this time the thing just had a black screen and was still draining my battery so I had to have it removed and put my factory radio back in. I contacted them and asked if I can just get my money back I will send it back to them. For months i got thr dance generic response. Then I get a message they are closed for weeks because of a Chinese holiday or something. I message several more times. Until finally i get a message saying i took too long to pryce return so i can only get partial refund. I said ok send me return instructions. Then I get 3 more of the generic emails. It appeared to work fine, A few months later the rear video camera begins to flicker and then eventually just stopped working. I continued to send repeated emails requesting tech support. The replies were very sad. They sent me photos of the back of some other model stereo that was pointing to with plug was the camera. Serious broken Asian/English to the point I just could not understand them. I kept telling the that the camera was working and now the unit was not showing the camera. I installed my Mopar radio back in and the camera worked fine. So the problem was the radio itself. If there was no problem with this radio the warranty would have expired in Dec 2022, but there was an ongoing problem up to June 2022 with the radio not working correctly because the rear camera was not displaying on the tesla style radio. I continued from December 2022- June 2022 to chase them down for Tech support, constantly worthless IT support by Email to solve the problem. So, the warranty was an ongoing problem into June 2022 and now they Michelle Posasare is hiding behind the warranty claiming the warranty expired in December 2022 even though they admit of the ongoing problem while it was under warranty and stringed me along into June 2022 with Emails and IT support that did not fix the problem. They did not offer to swap out the radio, to send it in for repair, refund me, etc. now they are hiding behind the warranty and Michelle refuses to give me any other information for their bosses, the so-called "Return team" information that is claiming that the warranty expired even though the problem was ongoing while it was under warranty. Basically, they are not honoring the on-going problem that was under warranty, they refuse to solve the problem for 6 months and when I asked to swap out the unit because we have exhausted all avenues to fix the problem, they then decided to hide behind the warranty expiration date. they are a scam, They ripped me off and they will not take care of the customer. Save your money and do business elsewhere because you will get the run-around sham deal from this company and get stroked until the warranty expires regardless if the unit was fixed or not. I can see from other bad reviews and the BBB complaints on this company this is a pattern that they operate under.
