My iPhone 6's screen has been shattered for about six months or so and I just continued using it as is. But my battery got to the point that I needed to replace it, and when the Apple store told me that they wouldn't replace it without also replacing the screen for a cool $130 I thought I was screwed. I'd been to a third party repair shop in Pasadena that wanted a lot of money to do the repair, so when Apple told me I had to fix the screen first I thought I was out of luck. The lesson here is to always look on Yelp for alternatives when you get price quotes from huge companies like Apple. I found Ari and his dozens of five star reviews (he should have hundreds but Yelp doesn't allow all of them to come up) and decided to give him a whirl. It helped that he's located in a really convenient location if you live in Los Feliz, Silverlake, or anywhere near East Hollywood. I'm super glad I went to him. In just under half an hour he replaced my screen for a super cheap price and even threw in a tempered glass screen protector, to boot. He's a very friendly guy with a unique sense of humor and the man works fast. Apple would've taken anywhere from a couple hours to a day to do this repair, and for much more money. As soon as I got my new screen I noticed that not only was it a high quality replacement, but my entire phone worked much better -- and this was even before I'd replaced the battery.
