Quick service, and great food! Would come back again! Highly recommend the crying tiger steak. Tender and flavorful. Came here on vacation, so now I'm trying to make it at home to satisfy my craving! Tao huu tod was light and crunchy, and a salty tangy flavor. Pad Thai was solid! I would get everything again. It's Thai food, so it can be spicy depending on your tolerance. Tofu and pad Thai dish has no spice if that's an issue for you.

Stopped by for cocktails and lunch with my brother. Wings and the curry noodles were perfect to share with my brother and they had an outdoor table with a heat lamp, though it was warm enough not to need it that day. Dog friendly on their patio

The food here is absolutely fabulous! The fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and beautiful plating are all superb and the combination lets you experience your meal with all of your senses. I've been here for dinner and we shared many plates so that we could all try a variety of menu items. Hard to pick a favorite but if pushed, believe it or not, I loved their fried rice dish and their massaman curry. Both seemingly ordinary dishes but nothing short of spectacular here! Every bite a taste sensation. Met a friend here for lunch today and we started out with one of their craft cocktails to celebrate the holidays. It was perfection. The names are as fun and entertaining as the drink! For lunch I had the Pad See Ew, not a dish that I typically order because the sauce is usually sweet. I prefer Pad akee Mao for the spice and complexity. But at Phuket Cafe, they don't do the overly sweet brown sauce. Their sauce had the traditional flavors - sweet, salty, sour, spice, bitter - creating a harmonious balance that sings on your tongue. The dish was served with some hot sauce on the side, but it didn't need it. It was perfection right out of the kitchen. This is a small restaurant with a colorful bar as you enter, a few booths, and some high top seats at the Chef's counter. That's where we sat because it's fun to watch the chefs prep and do their magic. Outside is a covered hut that's warm in the winter, so don't pass if that's the only seating option. Phuket Cafe lives up to the hype. Earl Ninsom (culinary) and Eric Nelson (cocktail master) know how to deliver! Already looking forward to my next meal here.

Phenomenal. Period. I recently had my first meal here and can't wait to come back. The service, atmosphere, food; everything was exceptional! We tried the Thai iced tea, Muu Kua Grua pork belly appetizer, pad see ew, and a daily special fried rice with steak. I would recommend all of this and want to try the curry noodles next time. Parking can be a little tricky, it's a busy area and mostly street parking. The restaurant itself is a bit small, and may be difficult to accommodate large parties.

We went for Portland dinner month and tried their tasting menu. The fried chicken with the sauce for app was delicious and would chose that over the prawns which we also tried. I'm always confused why they put such good sauce over a shelled prawn. Where you have to de shell it and lose half the sauce and now you're a mess ‍. For the main, the Massaman curry was delicious and sauce super flavorful. The Tom Yum Noodles were average and wouldn't get them again tbh. Thai tea tiramisu was delicious.

Nice spot with delicious food and a cool ambience. Great for sitting outside on a nice day.

I came here for Phuket Thai during Portland Dining Month and tried their fixed menu. Overall it was a great experience. The dishes were very flavorful and you can tell they don't hold back on seasoning. Everything had a lot of depth and definitely leaned on the spicier side, so if you enjoy Thai food with a real kick you'll probably love it. Each course felt thoughtfully prepared and the flavors were bold without being overwhelming. The service was great--the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We were seated out in the train car, which was a fun and unique setting . The only downside was that it was a little chilly, but it didn't take away too much from the overall experience.

We were seated in the train cab area and it was warm even during the end of winter time. Our server was super kind and attentive. We came here for Portland dining month and was thoroughly impressed with the food! The tom yum soup was a standout. $35 for all three courses was such a good deal! We plan to come back to try more menu items. Although there are plenty of Thai restaurants in the area, this one was one that stands out.

What a cute refined casual cafe situated in a lovely neighborhood! We didn't have reservations but were able to sit immediately in the outdoor seats by the window. Thankfully it was a cool evening and the sun had already set. Our waitress was very nice, recommended the perfect amount of food for two. We got a salad, fried chicken, and a pad Thai. Food came out hot and fast, and we were blown away by the flavors. Can't wait to go back!! There's some street parking but most people seemed to have walked over. There's also covered outdoor seating.

Been here a few times now for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Dinner is by far the best experience, mostly because of the menu options. It gets busy so service can be a little slow but everyone is friendly and doing their best maybe just a bit short staffed. Dishes tend to be a little more salty for me.

I have heard many amazing things about Phucket Cafe and was excited to try it out. An FYI, unsure if this was something that happens often, but I believe on certain days Phucket Cafe shares their restaurant space with Lang Baan. So sitting for Phucket Cafe is cut in half, which means a longer wait for a table. Just to keep this in mind, if you don't have a reservation. The staff was friendly, and the service was amazing. Since it was our first time, our waitress really helped us pick out the right drinks and dishes to try. For drinks, we ordered Crimson King, 55555, and a seasonal special cocktail. Both delicious and refreshing. For the dishes we ordered, Pad See Ew, Pork Fried Rice, and Tom Yum Noodles. All are full of flavor and well-balanced. Our favorite was the Pork Fried Rice. Excited to come back and try different dishes!

I was really excited to try this more "fast food" version of langbaan. We were able to be seated without a reservation outside. The food was on the more salty and drier side so it wasn't for me, but the best part of the meal was the crispy potatoes in the massaman curry!

I'd heard a lot about this spot and decided to stop by during lunch. We ordered the Muu Kua Grua, Gai Tod Ko-lea, and Chicken Pad See Ew. To be honest, the Pad See Ew was far too salty--we couldn't get past two bites. I've had much better versions at other restaurants, so that dish was a definite miss for me. That said, if you're looking for an inexpensive lunch, this place could be worth checking out. As for the Gai Tod Ko-lea, it's a solid choice if you enjoy boneless fried chicken. Personally, I prefer bone-in, and the menu didn't make it clear that it was boneless, so I'd skip it next time.

The interior is attractive and very modern, and there is a large covered and heated patio if you prefer to sit outside (we did). The service was a little bit slow, but not egregious and the server was very friendly. The menu is not extensive, but it has good variety and everything on it looked excellent. All of their ingredients seem high-quality, and they have a number of gluten-free and vegetarian offerings. I ended up getting the eggs benedict, which came with a little salad. The salad was fresh, not wilted, and came with a light vinaigrette. The eggs benedict was absolutely stellar-- perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and grilled halloumi to give some well-received brine to the bite, all atop an english muffin. For the price point and the quality, the portions are good. My one wish was that I could have subbed my salad for some of their potatoes! My partner got the pork belly hash, and thought that the potatoes were cooked perfectly-- crispy and well-seasoned. He did notice that there were only a few pieces of pork in the dish, but we chalked this up to the ingredient quality. We ended up staying for Happy Hour, which was fun! We got the fries with garlic aioli (so good!) and I ordered their daily cocktail special, a margarita. They gave me a good, heavy, pour, which is always appreciated. Great brunch spot if you want to go somewhere a little chic.

They are genuinely happy. I've been here maybe a dozen times in the last two years, and the serving crew is always top notch. The cocktails are consistently great too. So, that goes a long way for repeat business! The food is usually excellent, and a recent brunch was outstanding (see pics). Occasionally, there has been a near miss with too much salt on the Brussels sprouts or other minor infraction like that. All in all, it has displaced Serrato as my "go to" to meet up with friends. I've only eaten outside, so I have no idea what the inside experience is like. Outside, it's a sheltered patio with heaters if needed and a few small tables against the building as well. Bonus for this area in general is that it's a great place to walk around and window shop, and it's relatively close to the Japanese and Rose Gardens (by car).

The beer was good (as expected) and the taco portion was adequate. However, the food came out at room temperature, so I recommend that the cooks work to find ways to deliver the food items in a way that preserves the temperature prior to having it served. It's possible that this was a one off, but it took away from the experience a bit for me. Parking is an ongoing challenge since it's NW Portland and very few businesses have their own dedicated lot. The drink menu was appealing and their liquor options were impressive. I definitely plan to try again and see if my food experience is a bit more elevated on a second stop.
