This is a neighborhood place just like back east , nestled in a neighborhood on the corner hidden from the strip mall garbage. When you come here, and you better, do not be distracted by the path to tasty food. It is in an older neighborhood with minimal parking but fantastic personalities, service & FOOD! Upon entry it's a time warp for us who grew up in a time that was better. This is a good Olde Fashion deli that sells great food with amazing service. Franks is a family place. Back to the real topic... Meatball Sandwich; when you ask what is the cheese that use & the owner is educated on quality be states "Provolone on the bottom, Mozzarella on top" just know you're in the right place! The flavor is top notch, added some cherry peppers to spice it up just right, bell peppers & onions are standard. Took it to go, drove about 20 minutes to where I needed to be, the aroma was teasing me, the concern of the sandwich being cold or soggy rang in my mind while driving the 17 to the 10.. I was nervous, anxious & salivating.... Opening the togo container to see the glorious sandwich! Last time we went to Frank's they didn't have it on the menu that day. It comes with cheese ( I chose Provolone ) , lettuce, tomato, and mustard instead of mayo. The steak is Pork Butt ( a shoulder cut) . I loved it. It was sooo moist, tender, and flavorful. Another sandwich for my repertoire . My friend had a Meatball sandwich. They carry a wide selection of pastas, sauces, olive oils, canned tomatoes, and other Italian staples. My only suggestion would be to expand the specialty pasta selection with options like squid ink, spinach, or roasted red pepper varieties. Of course, we couldn't leave without visiting the bakery case. We brought home an assortment of Italian cookies, a black and white cookie, a Napoleon, chocolate cannolis, and a brownie. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. Overall, we had a very good experience and are looking forward to returning to explore more of the deli offerings.

Owner has angry fits and treats employees like complete crap for minimum wage. Seriously, every time he fails to manage his time correctly or an employee makes an honest mistake he starts screaming profanities and throwing things like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. Every. Freaking. Day. His wife is no better. My fellow colleagues here at KB can vouch for this. She is a raving b... that thinks she is better than everybody else and gets off on treating her employees like crap and talks crap about customers behind their backs. No wonder they go through employees like water. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and the prices are decent but I will never support an establishment that treats people the way these 2 lunatics do. Every employee I liked has quit because of the unnecessary stress, harassment, and owners taking chunks of hardly earned tips. Seriously, I have seen employees cry in the bathroom over the way they are treated like unworthy dogs. This location is super convenient because it is right next to my office but I encourage you all to find alternatives to PHX Eats. Kristine and Brad FireThunder seem like nice people but only care about money and degrade their employees who stand on their feet all day without breaks and work their butts off on a daily business then want YOU to empathize with THEM. If you work in this building you know exactly what I am talking about. I have recommended to a great many people and they have always said they were surprised as to how good all this stuff is coming out of a deli/cafe. Have the Chicken Poblano soup it is killer! I have had catering in my business from them as well at my home, parties from 5 to 75. Never a disappointment, never late and prices are reasonable.
