Great coffee shop! My husband and I had the biscochito latte and the adobe morning latte as well as two piñon bear claws. It was all amazing. The coffees were both not too sweet with an amazing flavor and the Bear claws were such a treat. Our server, Ember, was fantastic. She gave us amazing recommendations. Service was friendly and bathroom was clean. Parking was easy. They were out of mint today, so instead of the strawberry mint on nitro, I went with a strawberry coconut latte. I appreciate the ice having coffee infused in them! Can't say I taste a lot of strawberry flavors as the coconut was a bit overpowering to be paired with strawberries but it was still good. The oatmeal bar was a bit of a letdown. Lots going on but virtually impossible to eat by hand. This is a plated type of bar and having it to-go in a baggy was not ideal. Small, cozy, friendly. Smells amazing as you walk through the door. We have been frequenting the Indian Dealership a few doors down for years and I have always wanted to stop. Today was the day. Ordered the Pistachio Latte...ended up with the Biscochito Latte. Still delicious. Not sweet (which is more my liking). Definite piñon taste, which is new to me (TX native)...I would describe it as different but not bad....actually pretty good. I will be back to try some of the other options that sounded equally good. read more

Cool interior, I really liked the art and greenery sprinkled around the inside. The cold brew comes in 12 oz cans with original, dulce de leche, and churro flavors. The original was mostly smooth with a slight bite of coffee bitterness periodically. Their parfait was just the right amount of food to hold me over, and a healthy option at that. I also got their Chile cheddar scone, great flavor, good amount of spice to it, just wish that the toaster oven was able to get a crisp to the scone, it was more chewy than what I wanted. Open at 6am and that's a great thing. I stopped in this morning for an hour or two of early morning work, a quick Zoom call and my first coffee of the day. Clean, quiet, comfortable. My latte (no cortado) was excellent and with it, a cinnamon roll that was amazing. The seating was good, the coffee shop was lovely and I would be happy to return. I haven't been to this location for coffee in quite a while and decided to try it again. I ordered a Coconut Latte. I wanted it with 2% milk but they didn't have it. The barista offered me either whole milk or oatmilk. I didn't want whole milk so I opted for the oatmilk. She upcharged me for this option which I didn't think was right since they hadn't had the 2% I had wanted. The oatmilk should have been free. I was little annoyed with that. Also my tiny latte came to over $5. I'm not coming back here again! read more

This place is amazing! I came to Albuquerque from Tampa for the Balloon Fiesta and upon discovering Piñon Coffee House we've gone everyday! At this location all of the baristas are so kind and personable. I've tried something new each day and my favorite has been the Pumpkin Pie Latte and the Piñon bear claw. I'm going to miss this place when I go back to Florida, I may just come back to Fiesta next year for more coffee, It's my new favorite! My favorite place for coffee when I'm in Albuquerque. I never miss an opportunity to hit this casual place for coffee and pastries. Cheese danish is tops! Must try it out. The service is always warm and friendly. Piñon coffee is the smoothest and best tasting coffee. read more

I love love love their coffee and I'd hear on the radio that the eggnog latte was back. Eggnog is one of my favorite parts of this time of year and their latte is always a favorite. I was nearby so decided it was definitely worth a visit. It's a little shop wedged in between several other things so easy to miss, but you shouldn't! There's a decent amount of seating inside even though it's small, and you can eye the bags of delightful coffee as they call to you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The latte was everything I expected and very enjoyable. If that's not your thing, or even if coffee is not your thing, they also have a variety of teas. Definitely stop in, especially if you've never been! read more

Not a big coffee drinker but came here during a family trip. I ordered the lavender honey latte freeze and it was very good. I love all things lavender and this was a good mixture of lavender and honey and coffee. My husband ordered the apple chai which was the special and it was really really good as well. I want to go back just for that. I found out they sell and ship coffee as well. My little son liked the bear claw pastry, I didn't try it but it was 1 year old approved. They did charge me 3.95 for milk which I felt was a lot. But other than that it was a good experience. The ambiance is nice with a lot of plants. Unfortunately my one year old kept trying to get to the cactus which I had to constantly run after him and be on the defense! So be aware of that in case you have little ones. They have a limited edition of pistachio latte. Oh my gosh, it is so wonderful. Rush over now! It is a regular colored coffee latte on the bottom with a green whipped cream on top! I was in the neighborhood between job interviews and decided it was probably a good idea to recaffeinate. Since I prefer to buy locally, going to the Piñon Coffee House was an easy decision. I tried their piñon cold brew with a splash of half and half and oh, my word, was it tasty! Sometimes cold brew can be kind of bland (looking at you, mermaid place across the street from Piñon) but not this one. Lovely and flavorful with subtle piñon notes. This coffee doesn't need embellishments to be delicious, though if you want a flavored drink they make some excellent selections. The time to relax, read, and snip helped me prepare for my interview and enjoy a little "me time." Thanks, Piñon! read more

Nice little coffee house. The piñon gives the drinks an interesting, slightly sweet flavor. They can make drinks using ice cubes made from coffee if you ask. The baristas are polite and I've never had issues with ordering or waiting. read more

Piñon coffee house is my fav coffee place of all time (and I'm a coffee fanatic) I seriously went to their different locations every single day for YEARS. I've gone through so many of their punch cards, it's insane lol alameda has always been the best spot. I recommend this place to everyone I know. I moved states & I miss my morning drive there so badly. It truly made my whole day brighter! I'm so lucky to have had the experience of going here. I stopped by here right before a 5 hour road trip and the Pinon Latte was the perfect drink to help get me to my destination. The barista recommended it as their signature drink and I'm really glad I ordered it. The drink was the perfect balance of sweetness with a nutty hazelnut-like flavor. They had a few other lattes that sounded delicious as well as packaged coffee beans and cold brew. read more

I found my new study place! This place is comfy and small but just right to get caught up on my work be it my reading, reading, or grading. The Wi-Fi is free and fast and the drinks are smooth, fresh, and relatively affordable! They gave some good pastries, too. Also, lots of parking in the shared lot. I like roasted pińons. But I wasn't sure about pińon coffee. Unfortunately I'm still not. It was a different taste and feel than the cup of coffee I'm used to. Good or bad? I can't make a judgement either way. This is probably an acquired taste, and to be fair I'll try it again. Hadn't been here for a while. I stopped by today stood at the counter no one acknowledged my mom and I. Finally they came to the counter took our order. We were told they would call us when the coffee was done. We sat directly in front of the counter. Waited about 10 min they finally called me and gave me a cold coffee. I took it back and asked if it could be warmed up. ( they really looked and acted like they didn't want to be there ) she remade the coffee. And handed it to me. I asked her about my coffee as the other one was for my mom and she gave me a coffee that had been sitting there. Same issue. It was cold. I don't think I'll be going back. And it's a shame cause I use to enjoy stopping here for coffee read more

Good coffee, but terrible staff. I have gone consistently now the last year to see if worker behavior improves. It's the same at any location you go to. Won't be back because of it unfortunately unless a friend decides they want piñon coffee. The behavior really throws you off, like you're a nuisance and then request a tip at the end of your order?! No thanks. I'll just hit up my usual coffee spots. I don't need the bad vibes and served looks. read more

I adore this coffee shop. The coffee is perfection, the flavors are everything, the service is always fast and friendly, and the BAKERY. You guys, I know it's a coffee shop, but you Must. Try. All. The. Baked. Goods. Two words: biscochito donuts. If you love iced coffee, I recommend ordering the barista special, "The Dawn" which is rarely on the menu, but always delicious. Adobe morning is the perfect flavor, in my opinion, but many will argue biscochito. Get some of both and make your own call. read more

My first time visiting a Piñon Coffee House and WOW is this place charming! Part gift shop, mostly coffee house, this cozy cafe has a really chill vibe and a unique menu. After you stop sniffing the candles, make your way to the counter to order a specialty drink. They have several nondairy options which is always a plus! If I'm being honest, I really only came for the biscochito donuts. I'm passionate about donuts and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these! I think they are baked- but the texture is AMAZING. The sugar crystals add a little crunch and the flavor is spot-on. I will absolutely be back for more! read more

It's only a matter of a Piñon! A lot of people think their coffee is made out of the neon but that is not accurate... I believe it used to be but not anymore, so if you have a nut allergy don't worry! Their coffee is so good hot or cold! It's a must stop coffee spot for locals and tourists. Went in to order Chai Latte, place wasnt busy and staff had zero personality. I expected more from a home grown business. I return to places that have good customer service and appreciate my patronage. You cam buy chai in many places, but good customer service these days is rare. First and probably last visit. I read once that Coffee is a cup of magic potion that turns evil witches in to problem solving goddesses. I plead guilty on all charges. I have been enjoying Piñon coffee by the bag for years but this is my first time visiting the Piñon Coffee House. I love this super quaint coffee cafe and all it has to offer. The Iced Maple Walnut latte quenched my coffee craving on every level. I'm a sucker for iced coffee and am guilty of grabbing the nearest spoon to scoop out the ice cubes before it turns my perfect iced coffee into cold bean water. I was beyond pleasantly surprised that Piñon Coffee House blessed my coffee with coffee ice cubes! Genius! The Maple flavor was on point with the slightest hint of walnut that brought everything together in one perfect cup. The intriguing variety of flavors that they offer led me to also order a Biscochito Latte. The flavor of New Mexico's official cookie in a cup of coffee was unbelievable! All of the flavors of cinnamon and anise made it a truly remarkable blend with their delicious piñon coffee. This coffee house also offers a selection of non-milk varieties for the lactose intolerant. Soy, Almond, Coconut and Oat upon request. Pick up a fresh baked scone, danish, donut, muffin or burrito and you have a hearty breakfast on the go. We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Every recommendation we received was spot-on, and the meal was so impressive that before leaving, I made another reservation for later that week just so I could return and try more of the menu before our trip ended.
