We love their pizza and have ordered, at least, once a week for the past 2 years. We were just informed that they can no longer deliver to us because we are outside of their 5 mile delivery range. We are 6.2 miles away. We offered an extra delivery charge and/or a great tip for the driver and we were just told "no". I don't know how many others there are of us outside their new delivery range but do you really want to lose that much business? You have the best pizza in Hendersonville and we gave you 100% of our business for 2+ years and now you just deny us? This is not a good way to do business and I will do all within my power to let people know about your bad decision and selfishness. The worst customer service ever! We order weekly and have it delivered to the office, so we expect longer wait time. Today we were told it would be delivered at 11:45, it is now 12:15 and still no food. The person that took our order at 10:30!!! Swore into the phone...and not nicely either. Was looking for a bite to eat in the area and discovered this place on Google. All in all, food was terrific; really delicious pizza. Doughy, but not too doughy. They actually messed up my pizza (forget a topping), but quickly fixed it. They apologized several times and corrected the mistake. Would definitely go back and recommend. read more

Solid four stars almost five. Love the square pizzas! They have a great selection of "House Speciality" pies as well as build your own pie. So so on the beer selection, come on guys, great pie but ho hum beer. Delivery is ok, but to taste how good the pies are you have to eat at the restaurant. Trust me they are great when fresh and hot! We have eaten here many times. The food is delicious but service is hit or miss as far as training and basic politeness. When it's a miss it's pretty bad, like the cashier not knowing anything about the menu or how to find items on the register, taking a phone order and then just hanging up on you, or blaming us for not noticing the takeout order was someone else's before we were home. All real experiences. We keep going back hoping service will improve to match the food. Eating in is more frequently a better experience than takeout. read more

Great pizza, Detroit style! Recently met friends for lunch there, and the food is wonderful! We each had Detroit style pizza (crispy crust and soft middle). The lunch special was 4 square slices, with various toppings, and was terrific. Enough for lunch and to take some home for another meal. Ordering is at the main window, and then food is delivered to your table. My daughter in law, who is from Detroit, was very envious when she heard where we were going. So I brought pizzas and salads home for dinner for 5. PiSquared meets the standard for Detroit pizza, and got raves all around! Everyone loved both the Detroit pizza with pepperoni and cheese, and the everything pizza. Salads were fresh and tasty, and one salad can feed 2 people. Restaurant is a hidden gem on Haywood Road. After a day of craft beer touring, we needed food. We were craving pizza and wings so we went to Pi Squared. We had never had Detroit style pizza before, but we definitely liked it!! Super thick crust that's toasty on the bottom. Piled high with sauce, pepperoni and added jalapeños...so delicious. The wings were cooked to perfection and fell right off the bone.! The only negative complaint that I had was the amount of time It took for the food to come out to us. It was close to 45 minutes. This may be normal for this kind of deep dish pizza, I'm not sure. Despite the 45 minute wait, it was worth it and I would definitely return for another visit. I wish I had a Pi Squared in St Louis!! read more

I will admit to being skeptical at first about this Detroit style pizza, with the sauce on top (?!?) but oh my goodness, once I had my first slice I was a believer. This is probably my favorite pizza place in town. The square pan crust is so delicious, I love those crispy corners! I've tried all sorts of pizzas here and never been disappointed. Bad bad bad service. Tonight my family and I ordered food from this restaurant over the Internet. As per usual, we left a tip on good faith of receiving some semblance of service. The Delivery time was listed as 90 minutes. After 110 minutes, I call the restaurant to see where our order was. The woman who answered the phone said "I am sorry, we are really backed up. Your order will take 2 to 2.5 hours from the time you ordered to get to you". I asked if I could just come and pick it up in stead. She replied that there was no way for her to know if my order had already left or not, and if I were to re-order our food, it would be ready in 75 minutes. I became agitated with this answer. Our best option at this point was to continue to wait. 20 minutes later, the food finally arrived. But wouldn't you know, we were missing entrees and side items, and what was delivered, was cold. I will confess, now I was very angry and called Pi Squared. I explained the situation to the first guy who answered the phone. He asked me to hold and he put the phone down. I could hear him talking with another employee as he discovered that our order had either left with another driver or another customer. Not great on my end. Then another employee picked up the phone and tried to take my order for food. I angrily told her my situation again. I do not think that person liked my tone as I was passed off to a third person to deal with me over the phone. For the third time I explained my grievance. Admittedly so, I was not nice or pleasant about it. The person apologized in a way that lead me to believe she was sorry I called in, not that we got a cold half of an order that we paid full price for plus tip. Her solutions to rectify the situation was: A) Remake the order and deliver it to me B) I could come by and pick up the missing items myself C) She could refund the missing items on my order. I asked for a full refund. Her sponsor was that she could do a partial refund. I said "fine, give me a partial refund and I want you to refund our Tip". She ended up telling me she would refund our entire order, but it has not happened yet. I do not write all of this for the glory of being a Yelp hero. But I do hope the franchise manager of Pi Squared takes note on a couple of issues. 1.) it would have been nice to know the order was going to take over two hours to be delivered. I could have just come by to pick up the food and addressed any problems then. 2.) When the next customer calls in 20 minutes after an order was supposed to arrive, coach your people to not use their problems of being really backed up as an excuse. 3,). It would have been better if one person. Was able to take ownership of the situation when I called in the second time, rather than be passed off to whom ever I was. If you need tips on training your people in good customer service, go sit in a Chic-Fil-A for a few hours and just observe. The get busy, they deal with a lot of people, somehow their employees tend not to make me irate when they make mistakes. Lastly, I take no pride in getting a refund on my meal. If the refund takes place, no one will have gotten what they wanted tonight. I ended up eating a bowl of cereal while watching my kids eat a cold pizza. If you think waiting for over 2 hours for that outcome was the cherry on my Friday night, let me assure you it was not. read more

Very disappointed. We went based on the great reviews that were posted. We sat at a booth near the open door to the register/kitchen area. The staff did not have any gloves on and the young man was preparing salads, grabbing handfuls of lettuce and veggies with his hands. I had some family members that told me about this pizza place earlier in the year. I have to be honest it's the only Pizza that my boyfriend and I have had since we found them!! Everything from the crust to the sauce to the cheese is five star all the way. We live in Riverstone in Fletcher North Carolina and always have it delivered. We are so thankful that they will come to our development as not many places will come out this way. But to have a place that has such high-quality ingredients and such a friendly and fast staff is really a blessing. I just tried the new tomato pizza and it was amazing. Every pizza we've had has such an outstanding flavor and texture. If you haven't had this pizza you have to try it, you just have to. Would also like to give a big shout out to Ray for the pizza! Oh yea! Finally got over to Pi- Square. It was yummy! I enjoy the pizza which came to us HOT AND BUBBLY cheese. I was disappointed their black olives are canned and they do not have green olives as an add choice. Pizza is olives! Love the Puffy crust. Service was fast and friendly. Drove here from Greenville SC after hearing nothing but good things about the place. The restaurant is very elegant and well put together. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The "Detroiter" lived up to the high expectations and hype. We also ordered some pie bread on the side which was phenomenal. The prices seemed fair and in line with other pizza chains. Ordered delivery from this place. Was told it would be 50 minutes to an hour. After an hour and 10 minutes the driver called and said he was leaving and would be about 15 minutes. After another half hour I called again and was told the driver left 15 minutes ago. Received a text 15 minutes after that that the food was 5 minutes away. Our order arrived over 20 later more than two hours after placing the order. We got a curt apology, cold food, pizza that tasted like it was made from frozen sheeted dough and rubber chicken wings. We will never give Pi Squared another dime. read more

Lost my phone-in take-out order. I had seen their ads and decided to drive 16.6 miles just to try this place. When I placed my phone order, the girl that answered confirmed my name, size of pizza I ordered and my topping selections. All is good, right? Wrong! After my arrival at Pi-Squared the clerk could not find my order in her computer, another middle-aged lady tried, and then an old lady, which I presumed was the owner, tried to find it. No luck! Therefore, the pizza I ordered was not ready. I confirmed with them that I had called the correct number just to be sure. They offered to make a pizza for me. I declined. Sorry, we are only human they said. Human, yes! Business people, no! There were about a dozen or so employees running to and fro in the kitchen. It appeared to be a madhouse with NO order at all, totally lacking leadership and direction. I definitely do not recommend. read more
