Heard the food was great so decided to give it a try. The supreme thin tasted great. Would have been better if the two subs and wings I ordered had come out so the kids could eat at the same time. After asking about the subs we could hear that they had not even made them. Actually would could hear all of the conversations going on except for the making of our sandwiches. The cashier who was handed the sandwiches from a cook I presume said sorry. Nothing from cook, nothing from manager. Not looking for free stuff just an apology. My wife went by to get some cheese bread and a large cheese pizza. She texted me it would be 15-20 minutes as she was told. It has been over an hour and still not food. Trying to figure this out. I would not be as nice to them as my wife. They get your money up front, then disrespects you with lies and no food. My daughter and I were making our way back towards home in VA from Tryon Equestrian Center. If your familiar with that area you know there is nowhere to eat!! Luckily I got on Yelp and found this place!! It was a 30min drive from Mill Springs, NC. I thought the location was a bit unusual as it is located in a neighborhood area. The parking is ample. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted and offered help which I was very pleased with. Although the menu is simple it is different from other pizza places I have been too. They offer a circle pi and a square pi. We ordered both! They did not disappoint! Both were delicious and both had extra cheese just as I ordered. Nothing is more annoying than ordering and more importantly PAYING for X-cheese and not getting it. We were checked on by a lovely women who asked if everything was ok with our food. The pizza was so delicious I found myself almost speechless!! Next time we find ourselves in the beautiful state of N.C this place is gonna be our go to for sure!!! read more

Always like to try local pizza joints then your typical franchises. We ordered take out service was fast. Pizza was good, you have do do the the square pizza. We ordered build your own and also the fig specialty pizza. The fig pizza was different, there is no sauce on this pizza but I experimented and tried it with BBQ sauce and it was awesome. Tried this restaurant while staying in Flat Rock for a family gathering. There were 6 adults in our group and we all give Pi Squared 2 thumbs-up. I just tried my first pie today. This might sound weird but the pizza was beautiful! I opened the box and the rich red sauce with the pepperoni was a feast for my eyes but nothing compared to the aroma. I have forsaken every other pizza restaurant except this one.The food is perfection and thin,truly thin and crispy and fresh oh so fresh.Tomatoes must be picked the same day they are served.Also the people who favor thick crust and square with crust on every piece will be thrilled.Friendly,efficient and they bring small cups of vanilla,and very creamy which is ice cream,really more like custard, which is complimentary!!Just go you will love it. read more

We get the detroit style pizza and the italian cheese bread on a regular basis and both are delicious. My only complaint is that the sauce you get with the cheese bread is often (if not always) cold. Maybe it is just personal preference but we like our marinara warm. read more

This is some really good pizza actually for this area shockingly good. It's Chicago/Detroit style but if you're into the thick stuff they do it right. The only reason why I dropped a star was I made the mistake of getting a half dozen bone in chicken wings. These wings are a complete rip off, they are way too small they look like something out of a kids plate. As long as you're steer clear of the wings I think you'll really enjoy this place. Went to 2 different "Italian" places with good Yelp reviews and didn't even get ACKNOWLEDGED at either place (5 minutes at one and 10 at the other). PI-Squared was my 3rd option, but it's now FIRST in my heart!! I've never had Detroit style pizza and it was DELICIOUS! I got the cheesy bread appetizer (the small is a BIG order!) and was a little surprised that the marinara for dipping comes cold. But it SAVED the roof of my mouth because I was HANGRY and went in with FULL intention of having to peel skin off of the roof of my mouth. The cold marinara saved me and the deliciousness brought my anger down and brought my faith in people back. The beer is cold, the music was awesome, and the staff was friendly! This is the only place I have been south of the Mason Dixon line that does thick crust well. It is crisp on the outside and chewy in the center with plenty of gooey cheese, and one of the best sauces that you will find. It is very filling and not for calorie counters, but if you don't have anything to do but take naps the rest of the day this is tough to beat. They do have thin crust and traditional crust options, but that is kind of like going to a great seafood place and ordering a burger. The only thing negative I have to say is the "Detroit style calzone" is not a calzone, but a stromboli. read more

This had to be one of the best pizza experiences ever. The food is amazing and the staff to the owners were top notch. We tried 3 different pizzas at our table and I couldn't pick one or the other being a favorite because they were all amazing. The quality of the toppings including the sauce and cheese knocked it out of the park. I am from the Detroit area and personally think if Pi Square were located here it would be ranked number 1 in Michigan. Looking forward to another trip again and trying the new locations too.
