Best pizza I've found in the area! Great variety from thin crust to deep dish. Not much ambiance and they could use more seating. This place is very popular. I went early, and seating was about gone. The weather was too cold for their outdoor seating to work. They appear to do a brisk takeout business. Some beer is available, but the selection is limited. I found a pretty good IPA from Port City. We were in the area hiking and stumbled on this place. Walking in it smelled so good I was hoping it would taste as good too and it did! The workers were so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. We had a salad that was so fresh and huge and their ranch gets 5 stars from me. They were supposedly bringing them out to the car if they are not ready when they are supposed to be.I decided to go in 15 minutes later and ask again about my pizza, only to find out it had been sitting there for who knows how long? The guy at the counter acted like he didn't know what was going on. I don't think he did... I know they were busy but the service was inexcusable. The pizza has always been very good, but delivery needs coordination. Before expecting company last evening, we decided to telephone Pi Squared at about 5:00 PM and asked for delivery at about 7:00 PM. Thought we were doing them a favor by ordering early and not demanding a rush. Instead, we were informed that such orders were an inconvenience and that we must telephone again within an hour of the time that we wanted delivery. So we did. Telephoned dutifully after 6:00 PM and asked for two large pizzas delivered at approximately 7:00 PM. Just as our company arrived and before we even had an opportunity to say hello, here was our pizza at 6:30 PM. Plans for orderly relaxed introductions scuttled. POSTSCRIPT We soon received a telephone call from management who must have done some research to identify our order. We are told that an inexperienced new hire took the calls and that they do, in fact, accept "pre-orders" for delivery at specific times. Pi Squared management deserves credit for handling our experience appropriately, and has earned two more stars. Our pizzas have always been superb and we'll try a "pre-order" again when the occasion arises. read more

We've had many PiSquared pizzas in the past. Tonight we ordered a large cauliflower crust margarita pizza. Picked it up and it was two small pizzas; not one large. My husband added sausage which was extremely crusty and not fresh. This is the worst cauliflower crust pizza ever. It tasted like it was way overcooked with hardly any sauce. Eating gluten free is hard enough but to not be able to eat a pizza because of how bad it is, at this price point, is extremely disappointing. Will return to Marcos or Uncle Scott's in the future. read more

We ordered Pi-Squared pizza for the first time last week in Hendersonville,  NC, and it was the worst pizza ordering experience I have had in over 50 years! First,  by the time it was finally delivered to our nearby hotel room, it was lukewarm. Upon opening the pizza box,  we discovered that the entire pizza had been crushed and compressed into one side of the box - looking as though it had been dropped onto its side from a significant distance, or been thrown against a wall! The one free slice was stripped of its topping and the rest were mostly cheese-glued into a matted, soggy clump! I didn't realize the condition of the pizza at first,  because I was shocked at the price on the receipt.  My having asked for plenty of tomato sauce had been translated into a double-sauce charge - even though we found the pizza was still lacking enough sauce. Add the mark-ups for the extra onion I did order,  delivery charges and taxes and the receipt seemed over the top.  I didn't complain,  surrendered the whole large bill I had in my hand,  and the driver disappeared so fast that I couldn't chase her down the hall after I discovered the pulpy shock in the box! I immediately called the store to complain.  The lady who answered the call apologised profusely and seemed especially protective of the delivery person.  She offered to make up for our horrible pizza experience by mailing me a $20 coupon. I told her that we live over an hour away, but agreed to accept the coupon,  saying that I would hold any review of Pi-Squared granted that we were to receive the coupon by last Friday.  The coupon never arrived,  hence my review here about this horrible excuse for a pizza company! Btw, I am a disabled Vietnam veteran,  could not afford to throw money away for horribly-produced, over-priced pizza and I sincerely hope others will not get burned and mistreated by the company the way I have.  The best way to do this is avoid Pi-Squared pizza! We stopped in the other day while we were passing through town. We ordered the Greek pizza, a cheese pizza, and a pineapple and cheese and and 3 were AMAZING. Great customer service behind the counter and the pizza was delicious. The pizza itself had a crispy cheesy crust area but a light inner. Not too doughy. My only recommendation is having the sauce distributed a bit better, the sauce was only in the center of each pizza. Still delicious though! I'd highly reccomend this pizza place. read more

We placed a very large carry out order over the phone. The employee was the best at walking me through the entire order and was even able to help me with an alternative to red pizza sauce for one of the pizzas. My nephew loved the olive oil & garlic "sauce" that she suggested! When we arrived to pick up our order they were obviously very busy but got our order quickly with friendly smiles. I've been to this facility a few times. Been remodeling a house, and went 30 minutes before closing yesterday. I'm a huge fan of sicilian pizza, and this "Chicago style pizza" reminds me exactly of the sicilian pizza I used to get when I was a mere boy in New York. And dare I say, just as good if not better. Very consistent in their product. Let me mention the service real quick. I did a review three days ago about a business that has terrible service, and they were the owners. I was very close to closing last night, and I said "don't worry, we'll eat fast!". The young dark haired woman girl behind the counter (has to be in her teens) said "no, take your time". At that age, I would have never said that! On my way out was a young man, also a teenager at the counter. It was 9:00. I went up to the counter and said "I'd like a large pizza to go please ". I was floored at what he said. He said "Yes sir, happy to do it, what would you like?". I couldn't believe it. He's an employee, not the owner!!!! And he's young!!!!! Another delivery success! Salads, wings, both bone and boneless. The wings are so good that we get them dry, no coating. We get the coatings on the side. I've eaten here twice now and love the Detroit style square pizza. Order a small with 4 pieces, or a large with 8 pizzas. We did the large and got different toppings (half and half), for less than getting 2 separate pizzas. Online delivery was easy as was carry out. All of the patrons waiting inside has masks on (a nice change) and they had plenty of outdoor seating for once COVID is over (just wasn't spread out enough for me). I think next time I would try it with honey or balsamic on top instead of the marinara sauce...just to see what that is like. Definitely will be going back! read more
