Thoroughly enjoyed my food at this location. The staff really sold me on their pizza and breadsticks and I definitely see myself coming back for more. Reminded me of my hometown pizza which also does square pizza but this was my first time trying Detroit style which excited me and didn't disappoint. Very warm and hospitable personalities go along way with the total experience of the food and boy did they make me feel welcome! I honestly can't get over how cheesey garlic that cheese bread was I'm drooling just thinking about it . Guys Pi-squared is a gem!! Had a small detroiter today and man it was awesome. Perfectly flavored and toppings were quality! The deep dish detroit 4 piece style was amazing and I wish I had a spot like this in Savannah, GA but alas... Service was top notch and the kind lady at the cashier station made sure everything was cooked to order and brought the pizzas to our table, and let us sample the awesome custard (which led us to buying some). Delicious pizza found here! We tried the pepperoni pan pizza and it was fantastic. Crispy and crunchy yet soft and chewy. The sauce is the perfect tang to balance the rich crust and cheese and the ronis are nice and mildly spicy like a good roni should be. Pro tip, ask for pizza sauce on the side so you can dip your crust. We also had a salad, fresh and delish as well. Perfect portion to share along with the pizza. We were also given samples of the vanilla custard. We didn't have any room left to order some, but I could justify a trip just for the custard, it was amazing. Service was fast and super friendly. Lots of spots to sit, inside or outside. Lovely place we are adding to the regular rotation. read more

I stopped in for lunch today on a whim; I was in the area and had heard about Pi-squared. It is a little difficult to find - it is actually located in the "compound" of Drayton Mills. When u walk in it was not 100% clear to me that u order yourself at the counter (but u do!). You order and pay and take back a number for the table. Ok... let's order- Pizza (you pick crust and everything else or order a signature creation), calzones, salads, subs, chicken wings. So...we both had pizza. I had thin crust and my son had square deep dish. They both were very good. They also brought by a complimentary small vanilla custard, which was very nice. The reason for 3 stars is I don't like the fast food ordering with the sit down restaurant pricing. read more

I consider this place just slightly better than a 2. If the salad had not been pretty good, it would be a 2. The good: Nice atmosphere and location. The servers were very nice. The spinach salad was pretty good. It had a lot of feta and it was good feta. The tomatoes were fresh and the dressing (ranch) was pretty good. The not so good: Our pizza took a long time. 40 minutes from the time we ordered. The server was nice about it and apologized, so I am not going to beat them up too bad about that. The pizza itself was very disappointing. Some reviews have compared it to Pizza Hut and some have said that comparison was unfair. I fall on the side of Pizza Hut is just as good and I am not a huge PH fan. Why do I say this thing? The crust was a basic deep dish. Admittedly not my favorite style. What little pepperoni they put on the pizza was flavorless. The cheese was pure institutional. The sauce was just tomato sauce from a can from what I can tell. No garlic, not oregano, nothing. The mushrooms were canned. The counter service felt a little awkward, but not terrible. Overall neat place. Very ordinary pizza. We will probably not make it back. read more

I personally was dissatisfied with my experience here and did not like the food. It was overpriced for what you get, however I will say the view was nice. The restaurant needed cleaning, as there was trash on the floor and uncleaned tables with rags on them. I will not be back anytime soon. read more

Its a staffing issue, no one is working together, i've been there twice and both times there were multiple parties within the staff arguing or talking down on each other in a condescending way. Came in excited to try the cracker thin crust. Asked for, and paid for extra fresh basil. When I asked the man behind the counter why such a tiny bit of fresh basil he got an attitude about it. Raised his voice and told me repeatedly that food is very expensive. Then he hollered that he's the owner. I thanked him for his attitude and his answer. Some of the best pizza I have tried here in the 'burg, and that says a bit considering there aren't that many local pizza spots here that aren't chains (this IS a chain, but there's only one other location in Hendersonville if memory serves me right). Awesome Detroit-style wheel, and the place has decor of talented musicians and notable people born in the Motor City. I will agree that the counter-ordering style is just weird for a gourmet pizza place... but the two times I have been in the past year the service has always been on-point. You can place your order online as well and pick your food up. My favorite pizza here is definitely the Detroiter, which has the tomato sauce on top and cheese on the bottom, with spicy herbs too. It tasted like a much better, fresh version of the deep dish at Little Caesars. And I highly disagree with the other review about it tasting like Pizza Hut, because Pizza Hut pizza is garbage IMO. The buffalo chicken pizza is pretty good too, but the buffalo sauce was a bit mild for me. However, I didn't like their chicken wings as they are tiny and basked in the oven without any crispiness. The Detroit style pizza is a crust-lovers dream!!! There is a perfect balance between sauce and bread, made even better with the crunch of buttery crust. We got an order of bread sticks to go with it that were perfectly flavored with garlic and cheese. This restaurant serves Detroit styled square pizza. I would say it's a very happy medium between Chicago's deep dish and a pan crust. The way this pizza is made is that the sauce is on top (which makes it easy to get lost in the sauce), which also means it doesn't feel overly dry. When I ate a deep dish from Chicago it was very heavy, but this was a great ratio of filling and still light enough to where I didn't feel heavy. read more

The best pizza ever to grace my tastebuds!!! We ordered the meat lovers large square. The bottom was crisped to perfection & the toppings were great. I love the style of sauce on top. We also ordered wings which were fabulous and an order of cheese bread which could've fed an army. It was two of us, we spent a little over $30 and could've fed two more people. The atmosphere was super cozy, they have lots to look at on the walls and a great view from the windows. My only complaint is that there weren't more people there on a Sunday! We were at Holiday Brewery having a beer and decided on a pie and ordered a mushroom and black olive pizza after 20-25 min they brought it to us .I opened the box and had a shroom and pepperoni so I took it back abd they said sorry and they would fix us another which only took 8 min(hmmm)for them to bring when i opened the box and bit into the first piece I bit into a piece pepperoni and my wife noticed a piece of pepperoni on her slice so i guess fixing another ment taking off the pepperoni and putting olives on it and while it looked ok you could taste the pep grease on it so in the trash it went. Just came from lunch there. Had the Thai wings and buffalo flavor and these are the best wings I have ever had! Super juicy, tender packed with flavor. Usually, wings are dry or tiny but thee were good sized. Daughters ordered a pizza and I had a slice very cheesy, not greasy. Lots of toppings that tasted fresh. Clean tables and good view of the koi pond. Friendly staff fast food. This will become my new wing lunch spot. read more

Park and head to the lake/pond/small body of water, and around the back of the brick building closest to it, the entrance to the place was there. It can be really confusing, but if you see a lightbulb sculpture you have the right spot. There is just a lot more there than just a pizza place and apartments. The service is stellar! I got dinner to go after a couple native northerners raved about the place being the closest they'd had to chicago-style in the south, so I opted for the deep dish as they had recommended. Thing is, I don't care for deep dish, I'm a thin crust person... but the toppings, the sauce, the bbq and mango one I opted for and the meat specialty my lod got (I was allowed a taste) were awesome. The excess dough was just more than I would want in a pizza. I like 2/3 toppings and just enough crust to lead it to my face. This will be a repeat place for me, but I will have to politely opt for the thin crust instead next time. read more

A note about location...it's in the building behind Bella Latte. You order at the counter. Beer and wine is available. You have choices of crust. The Detroit style is square, deep-dish like. We had the buffalo chicken, and it was quite tasty. Crust edges are nice and crispy, and the buffalo sauce draped over the pizza added a nice amount of heat. A large pizza is eight slices, about three inches by four inches, but they are thick. I recommend giving it a try. They also have oven baked subs, that will be something I'll come back to try. read more
