I love this place!!! The food was amazing and the service was perfect. You share a picnic table with other people if you go with a small group, but it's a small restaurant. We got seated right away on a Friday night, but right afterwards it was packed!!! Although we didn't get bread like every table, it just gave me more room for the delicious food. I originally got a pizza with spicy sausage, the gentleman recommended to me to use the spiced olive oil to drizzle oil. I didn't know it could be better!! The ingredients are fresh and tasteful. I finished my (12inch?) pizza, but was still hungry, because I tried my friends dish with linguine and clams. I ended up ordering that and did not regret it. The portions are fair for the prices. Vegetarian review: 3.5 stars Overall, very solid pizza and pasta but lacking on the appetizers and dessert. Appetizers - got the timbale (zucchini wrapped around mozzarella, tomato, basil) and the crostini with porcini mushrooms. They use good ingredients and overall tastes good but nothing special. The timbale was very small for almost the price of an entree. Mains - nice pizza. Chewy, crispy crust that's above average, bright sauce and good cheese plus ingredients. 4 star quality pizza. Not sure if the pasta was fresh but it had a great taste to it and it was an enjoyable dish. Dessert - tiramisu was disappointing. They only used the mascarpone cheese! No lady fingers! Very strange. One major plus: the olive oil. They use a high quality, green olive oil which had great taste. Almost no restaurant use that quality olive oil. Also had a spicy oil! One minus: VERY loud. Delizioso! Nothing but the best things to say about this place. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The decor is cozy and intimate. And the chow is amazing. The crostini is something you will dream about for many moons to come. Pizza is excellent and the pasta was homemade. The arugula salad with a thin slice, transparent slice, of pear was one of the best salads I've ever had. The service was super friendly and helpful. They gave us a piece of the tiramisu because like I said, they are super friendly and it was the best tiramisu ever! If you like a mild tiramisu made perfectly this is it. The only thing keeping me from giving Piacere 5 stars is price. I do understand, though, that all of their ingredients are organic. This probably lends itself to it's slightly inflated prices on their menu. I can't say enough about how delicious the food was. Our pizzas were made fresh, baked in the wood-burning oven and on our tables in ~10 minutes. Our table had the Quattro Formagi, San Daniele and Marghareti. All were fantastic--thin crust, out-of-this-world cheese, awesome proscuitto. Each pair in our party shared a pizza and an appetizer. We highly recommend the Polpo & Patata appetizer! My wife and I went to this romantic pizza place. It had low warm lighting with wood bench tables that were nice. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who not only seated us, but took our orders as well. All the staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. I found Piacere on Yelp and was intrigued by their pizza. I was disappointed to find that the pizza crust was made with standard dough. (My standard is very high now that I have discovered pizza that uses 00-fine grain for their dough) All that being said, the pizzas were still excellent! I had a Napoletana pizza that had a thin crust, saucy tomato sauce, gobs of mozzarella cheese and slivers of anchovies. Cooked in a brick oven. We shared a Beet salad special appetizer that was delicious. There were about 3 brews on tap, one of which was an Omegang Wheat beer that I enjoyed. My wife had a red wine and a Margherita pizza. These were also good. Also, we were provided free bread that was fresh and tasty along with olive oil and a spicey oil mixture that was good. They have a single restroom in the back that is clean and has a sliding door with a red light above the entrance. The inside is artsy with paintings on the wall such as the lips and eyes of Marilyn Monroe. If you are averse to nude pictures, don't look up! While the pictures are not pornographic, they are "saucy!" In my opinion, the bathroom art was well done. I wasn't impressed. My brick oven Margherita pizza was authentic Italian pizza, but the bottom had so many black burn marks on it that it really tainted the flavor. Tricky to get the toasty crust and not burn it, I think. Also the cheese was rather sparse, with large areas of the pizza having sauce only. My companions enjoyed their dishes: gnocchi with pesto, linguine with clams. We were looking for a place to eat outside, and Piacere has outside tables, but there is a heavy slant to the ground and I thought that would be a problem with our tables being slanted as well. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Five stars for them! The music was far too loud. Overall I think I was disappointed with the ambience of the place. I have eaten at a lot of Italian places and this place is probably the best I have had. They serve authentic Italian food that tastes amazing. They have a specialized menu. Ok I went to this place because it had good reviews, I went there on a Tuesday afternoon, around 5pm. The place was empty since 5pm it's slow time, but the server came out quickly and made sure we felt at home. The server took the time to explain the menu and was patient. The food was off really good, I can truly say it was one of the best authentic Italian meals I had. They are also know for their pizzas , they have their own wood oven , which you can see from the table. Sautéed broccoli rabe. Very good with some bitterness, and any Italian knows that how it should be. We all split a pizza with arugula, prosciutto and Parmesan cheese. This was excellent.
