    SPAGHETTI CARBONARA
    Tanuj C.

Il Corallo Trattoria was an amazing experience that I would recommend for anyone looking to get good Italian food in the city. I came here with a friend who was visiting the city for the week. While the place is indoor, there are no clear doors or window so it still feels as though it is outdoors. Il Corallo is perfect for a semi-casual occasion. The food was also great. I got the spaghetti carbonara, which was on the cheaper side and also tasted perfect. The cream, bacon, and fettucine blended together beautifully and I would definitely recommend it. Service was also good, as our servers were attentive and also explained any parts of the menu we were confused about. Also, they take online reservations, which makes it very convenient. If you can go, I would definitely recommend it!

Amazing service! This place is quaint and homey, very cutesy for a date. I was holding a flower bouquet and they were kind enough to give me a vase to keep them hydrated while we dine. There's complimentary bread to start. The seafood pasta had so much seafood in it- they did not skimp out on it at all.

Came here for dinner and ordered: Carciofi, which is artichoke hearts, pecorino romano, lemon, EVOO & mint. Crispy, fresh, and well made. The appropriate appetizer Squid Ink Pasta. It looked and sounded weird at first. But once you start eating it becomes tastier and tastier. The seafood are fresh and well done. The dish was well made. Delish! Urbino, which consist in mozzarella, tomato sauce, mushrooms, red onions, black olives & prosciutto. Wow. I enjoyed it a lot. It was well made Definitely an awesome restaurant to come here for dinner. I enjoyed it a lot. Loved the ambiance and the attentive service that we experienced that night. Will definitely come back again in the future : )

So yummy I don't have enough good to say about this place- the food is perfect- sweet table in the window, great service. I could eat every meal here- seriously.

I hate to let the secret out---but this gem of a restaurant has an amazing $13.95 daily lunch special that runs from 12- 4 PM and it's excellent! Of course, there's an extensive dinner menu (on my list) as well as a happy hour menu. Located in Soho, it was jam packed by the time we arrived. In fact, we had a bit of a wait but it was not longer than 10 minutes. The interior was rustic, cozy, cute and a bit cramped. Not fancy or upscale. Is it authentic Italian? Maybe/maybe not but they do a good job. The $13.95 lunch special included either soup or salad and choice of pasta, pizza, entree salad or sandwich. For an additional $8, you can select house wine or Gelato. We both went the wine route which was pretty good. Montepulciano for red and a Trebbiano for white. While I selected the hearty salad as my starter, the soup of the day was Minestrone. As far as main, we both chose the Pasta Giusseppe style which included chopped garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas, onions and peppers in a wine sauce. It was difficult to choose among the pasta selections as all looked good. There was even a Zucchini Noodle "pasta" choice with a lemon sauce for those who can't eat carbs or are carb conscious. The pasta portion was quite generous and the Trebbiano wine (my selection) was such a nice accompaniment. The server brought us an aperitif on the house as we concluded our very satisfying late lunch dining experience. I couldn't stop talking about this place when we left. In times like this where prices are elevated everywhere, this adorable trattoria offers an unheard of value for a very delicious lunch. A Starbucks order might be costlier! Recommend and I'm returning!

First. Reservations are a must! Tiny spot with ginormous delicious dishes - it's no wonder why everyone wants in this place. The ambience is giving Nonna's kitchen. Small and larger than life at the same time. We started out with two appetizers. The antipasto burrata with prosciutto on the side. Deliciously creamy on a bed of pesto and arugula along with Crostini with whipped ricotta. So good! Can't forget the baskets of focaccia that we dipped to our hearts content in delicious olive oil. Carafe after carafe after carafe of red wine flowed. The service, impeccable and extremely attentive. Our glasses were never empty. I was a first timer and heard all about how delicious the pasta was and how it is all freshly made in house. They were most certainly not wrong. I got the Tortellini Pesto, which consisted of cheese filled tri color tortellini in a fresh basil, garlic, walnut and Parmigiano pesto sauce. I added chicken. Absolutely delectable. Highly recommend. Due to how wonderful everything was, I had expected our bill to be outrageous but to my surprise, it wasn't. Go with an empty stomach and leave completely full of the most delicious, fresh made pasta you will ever have without breaking the bank. Credit cards accepted. Reservations a must. Tight quarters but very manageable. Mangia, mangia!

Came here on weekend and had no wait! There was complementary bread which was a nice touch since a lot of places stopped doing it. For apps we did the 3/$15 and got pickled veggies, prosciutto & an aged cheese which was so worth it and delicious! My boyfriend got the house white wine which was alright but paired well with the apps. We both got the squid ink pasta with seafood (one is with red sauce and the other with white wine and garlic). I liked the white wine with garlic better because it came with crab meat which was a nice touch. The red pasta sauce pasta came with mussels which were great as well! Overall, everything was tasty and with great service but it wasn't a place I would go to out of my way - still worth a try if you're in the area!

This is a quaint little restaurant with charm. The pasta dishes are affordable for the area and the food was delicious. The service was good and the staff were accommodating. Only thing I'd note is that, since the space is small, you're seated very close to other parties.

I was originally excited to try this spot as the Google + Yelp reviews are great and there was a nice 40 minute wait to be seated. Seemed like a popular spot so must be good, right? After waiting and being seated, our server promptly brought our menu + water. There was a wide variety of pastas to choose from- just how I like it. The staff was very attentive the entire time. Honestly, the food just wasn't that good to my friend and I. Her pasta was extra salty while mine felt oily. The shrimp in my pasta had the shell removed, which I appreciated, but was not deveined so it was a bit unappetizing staring at a shrimp full of poop. Most likely won't return.

We stopped by for Happy Hour and tried the $5 Prosciutto -- it was flavorful and generously portioned. For the entrée, we ordered the Grilled Trout with pesto and chilled artichoke purée. The trout was perfectly grilled, though I would have liked a bit more of the artichoke purée to balance the dish. We also tried the Lobster Saccheti, described as fresh pasta purses filled with lobster in a shrimp tomato cream sauce. The pasta and sauce were well-seasoned and tasty, but we suspected the dish may have included Argentinian red shrimp rather than lobster. Service was attentive, and the ambiance was very pleasant.

This place was good. They had a good lunch special. I did not order from it; instead, I ordered gnocchi fungi. This was very good; the flavor was great, and I enjoyed every bite. I also got the meatballs. Now, these were not that good to me. I felt like they were very bland. I have had way better. Overall, I had a good experience here. I would go back.

Opened almost 30 years. My childhood bff has been coming here for generations. Her brother even got engaged here. 3 generations that consider this restaurant home. Italian American approved. Katrina. Evando are amazing. All the staff. The art is gorgeous. Great music. 1. House vino bomb. 2. Pizza Marina. The dough was tasty. All pizzas looked good. 3. spaghetti carbonara. Its so fun to mix the carbonara up yourself. pancettta good. Delicious. 4. Black Taglierini Frutti di Mare fresh pasta with fresh seafood and a good tomato sauce 5. Issa Busco was yummy.6. Strawberry cheesecake 7. Tiramisu 8. Moscato We loved everything. Both desserts were worth it. Ciao.

Such a cute little spot. It looked very homey and authentic, which I loved. The food was also amazing!! The only thing I would mention was that the mussels were very small and they didn't really give us many clams. Other than that, it was perfect. The tiramisu is to die for.

Amazing food and amazing service. It is very cute inside and they have a nice upstairs area that would be great for a party.

Despite being undercooked, the steak was surprisingly tough and chewy, and it did not seem like a quality cut of meat considering the price. The waiter was friendly and provided good service, which was the highlight of the visit. However, due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, slow food service, disappointing drink, and poor-quality steak, I would not recommend dining here.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables.
