Found this place by surprise! Great for a healthy, simple crispy sandwich with natural flavors. 1 sandwich can be shared with 2 people due to the size. You can tell from their flavors that the ingredients are fresh and the bread is toasted just right. Good for a quick bite! read more

Been here for a few years and the quality and amounts they give have decreased significantly. Ordered the California and it's supposed to come with tomatoes. No tomatoes to be found, I had to ask for that extra side of tomatoes. There is barely any protein, just 4 tiny pieces. Skimpy amounts of food compared to when they first opened. For the price you're paying, you should have a thicc PIADINA. Instead, I feel like I'm just eating bread. Will not be returning and do not recommend :( read more

This sandwich was very fun to eat. I can honestly say I've never had anything quite like it. They're very different but that's also what I like about them. As far as taste... it was tastier than I thought it would be. The flatbread was super yummy. It was my favorite part. There's a variety of sandwiches to choose from but I went with the Napoli because it had black truffle sauce. They have other offerings, as well, but I went with the sandwich. read more

A couple of months ago, I had dinner at I Can Barbecue. I had to walk off the food because I was so full. I found Piadina next door and since then, I have been wanting to try their Italian flatbread sandwiches. It's unlike anything I've ever had before. The flatbread resembles the texture of a Chinese scallion pancake and tastes like one too, without the onion flavor. I got the Firenze (steak, Provolone, arugula, onions, and herb butter) and my sister got the Napoli (Prosciutto di Parma, imported Burrata, arugula, tomatoes, and black truffle sauce). Unique style sandwiches with focaccia bread, like a folded pizza, but the bread dough is very tasty than any pizza crust or regular sandwich bread. The Tustin Marketplace store is still operating under the Piadina name but their Irvine store at Barranca/Culver was rebranded as an Italian restaurant (Sole Toscano) with pasta dishes and bakery items. There is a Piadina Sandwich section on the menu to retain the basic items from the original store. Hope they add more of the Piadina sandwiches back on to Sole Toscano menu and keep that part of their heritage going under the new name. read more

Sandwiches are a staple food. Walk around any corner and find a shop that sells subs, panini, hoagies, etc. Piadina does Italian style flatbread filled with meats, cheeses, and vegetables. For this occasion tried the Parma and found it to be a healthy alternative to the Italian subs that I love dearly. It contained high quality ingredients that you could taste the prosciutto, mushrooms, arugula, mozzarella, and tomatoes. Their service is polite and prompt with the only downside being it's a smaller portion for a $12 item and can leave you feeling unsatisfied compared to a footlong sandwich as an example. And while understanding a footlong is catered to a different market or appetite and may not utilize the same ingredients value nowadays can hold a higher importance. But notwithstanding this establishment offers something different from the norm and makes for a nice alternative. read more

Takes forever to get your sandwiches, what do they do when there are more customers?? Also asked for hot sauce on mine, they said up charge, already checked out so nah but ended up offering it for free LOL. Substitutions are frowned upon or denied depending on the worker. Sandwich tasted pretty good, flat bread thinner than expected, good for low carb. Ask for hot sauce, not too hot and good to dip sandwich in for more flavor. "Roasted chicken" in reality is chicken cold cut. read more

When I ordered my food, the cashier said they'd have it ready in ten minutes. It took 20-25 minutes for my food to be ready. When I said that it took double the time, I was told with a sharp attitude that they were in the middle of training. If that's the case why not just let customers know that due to training wait time will be longer than usual? That would have been understandable and I could have known it would take a while or have had the choice to go to other establishments. Another thing I noticed, there was a group ordering for their family. They ordered partially before me. Then I ordered and then their family member came after me and ordered more items. The cashier and other worker decided to make all their orders before mine even though some of those items were ordered after my own. I'm disappointed in the experience here. Just LOVED my sandwich!! The New York is what they named it but it's really a bit of Italian heaven!! The flatbread is seasoned and toasted which was my favorite. New favorite place! I was in the area and was looking for something fast casual and stumbled on Piadina. I had never had an Italian flatbread sandwich, but I was intrigued. Every item on the menu sounded amazing, but I ended up going with the Sicilia. It was SO GOOD!! I loved the bread because it was light and soft and the hot sauce perfectly completed the meal. This place will be out of business in a year. We ordered two different Sandwiches for 17.00 each And I've had better at to go stands in the airport. The amount of meat they put on the Sandwich is laughable for 17.00. They sure load up on the sauce in order to hide the fact there is little meat. Waste of time and money. read more

I used to love this place and have been talking my friends here several times. Today , our sandwiches are cold and the manager's attitude is ... pretty bad. They refuse to remake the sandwich because the manager says she cannot throw away the food. At the end.She rather refund us, the riot is she still have throwaway food and not having our business and we left hungry and upset She can just remake it, and we can all be happy. The Manager also refused to refund the tips. Sigh.... I used to love this place, but I think this will be the last time for me dining here. Sad .... read more

Great service by the guy whom greeted us and brought our food out for the table with care. A little extra but really made the whole experience our first time here all the better. it's a order now and pay first and eat place. We have tried this place twice. Once a few years ago and just last weekend. The first time, we weren't that impressed. Yes, the ingredients were fresh, but there was little meat and no flavor. The sandwich makers were s-l-o-w. It took close to half an hour for our order of two sandwiches to be ready. The price was close to 40 bucks for two people (sandwich, chips, and soda). Not worth it. We won't return. Cut to last weekend. We were lured in by their BOGO offer. Maybe they improved? We ordered Roma sandwiches (BOGO). Again, they took forever to prepare our sandwiches, even though they had 4 kids making the sandwiches. It's not like they were goofing off. They just moved like slugs. The sandwiches were bland with only a couple thin slices of meat, arugula, tomatoes, cheese, avocado and almond slices. It totally needed pesto or aioli...something to lend flavor! Lesson learned. This sandwich was CRISPY. When I think of a flatbread sandwich i wouldnt expect it to be crispy. Reminded me of a thicker green onion pancake for the bread. Ordered the Reggio as it was one of the favorites there, and I can see why! Portions looked small at first but this sandwich definitely filled me up. The sandwich I got was well balanced with prosciutto, arugula, and their signature hot sauce. Couldn't really taste the mushroom but since I'm not a fan of mushrooms.. it was a great! read more

We were actually walking into Whichwhich but they informed us they were closed. So we looked around and saw Piadina was two restaurants over. How convenient. We had the Reggio and California. Both were delicious and better than expected. The Reggio had a hint of spice in the sauce and the California had a delicious pesto. They were both filling but light on the carb so we didn't feel so bloated after a typical sandwich. Highly recommend and will be coming back here. read more

Out of wine. This is kind of like a fancier version subway or firehouse subs. The menu is a bit complicated as the names of sandwiches are in Italian and large and bold, while the ingredients in English are in very small font. Like if you have 20/20 vision you might have to squint to read. It was very quiet inside with a couple gals who looked like they just got out of yoga class enjoying food in the corner. Definitely on the pricier side for what you get. The Austin flatbread consisted of brisket, provolone, arugula, tomatoes, avocado, basil pesto, and garlic aioli. Tried Piadina for the first time and I will be a returning customer. The housemade bread is cooked to order and has a light, crispy and doughy consistency - delicious with every bite. The bread is pretty much a traditional green onion pancake, minus the green onions. Roma ($9.25): Mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, avocado, thinly sliced chicken, arugula and almonds between the Piadina bread. Mild saltiness from the chicken that cancels out with the arugula. This place is soooo good and super unique, I have never had a sandwich like this before! The tastes were super unique but I think the thing that makes this sandwich so special is the bread part! I saw the worker making a dough and I think frying it on both sides? However they made the bread part it was delicious! you can really tell they used high quality butter in the Dough and it kind of reminded me of a croissant from the flakeyness of it. It kind of melt in your mouth in a way. I got the Californian and it was so good! Had like avocado, tomato, turkey and pesto! 10/10 would recommend for anyone wanting to try a different kind of sandwich! Meh. I've experienced better. We came for a quick lunch during a day of car shopping. We needed a glass of wine and were happy to hear they had wine! We ordered two glasses of Chardonnay. So ... they poured us two glasses of red wine. It turns out, they don't carry any white wine at all, only red which is a little weird. Even if they're trying to stay true to their Italian theme, how about a nice Pinot Grigio? Luckily able get a refund. We both ordered the #1 Parma which, on the menu, sounds delicious. Proscuitto, Mozzarella, Mushrooms, Arugula, Tomatoes on the Piadina flatbread. The bread was fresh baked, delicious and warm. However I would have thought the prosciutto, mozzarella and mushrooms would have also been warm and melty. Instead all the sandwich fillings were cold....on the warm bread. The sandwiches are really big. I would give the place another try and order a different sandwich, and maybe ask more questions when I order. read more

The craving for this delightful little sandwich is what spurred us to make our own, bringing together the warmth of Italy and the lighter tastes of California, with no trans fats or animal fats. Knowing that nothing beats the quality and taste of local produce, our fresh, seasonal ingredients will showcase the best of the West Coast markets. Now we'd like to share this iconic piece of Italy with California - two worlds sharing a piece of history in a simple sandwich.

Established in 2015.

From our roots in Perugia (in Central Italy) to our home in Southern California, Piadina embodies the best of Italian eating with a uniquely California state of mind. Our piadina journey began on a visit back home. After sampling and savoring many decadent local specialties, the true test for our enjoyment of a meal not only included how much we loved the flavor, but if we also felt good a few hours later. So when a good friend mentioned that a particular local piadina café had reinvented the classic with lighter ingredients while maintaining the rich flavor, we had to investigate. And after the first sandwich, we fell in love with it. Together with the owner of that shop, we began working to bring this "new traditional" Italian favorite to the US, complete with the secret recipes and proprietary equipment. Truly Heaven sent - paired with a glass of their house cab (PW Rosso). And when you thought it couldn't get any better, my nephew and I split the full-size Genovese Ziti entree. The freshly made ziti was extra long, cooked to perfection; the simmered beef and onions, simply melted in your mouth!! She was an absolute professional pro and, while I unfortunately didn't get her name, our waiter, Israel, took over from there. This Cream Pan is nothing like their FV location, which is sad because Tustin is actually the original. Inside is dingy and messy, which should have been a sign for me to walk out, but I really wanted a strawberry croissant. Big mistake! It was soggy--as if it was made yesterday. The strawberry was already going bad. Will never set foot in this location ever again and learned my lesson to stick to the Fountain Valley one. Thanks for reading!

First off, I'd like to say I downloaded the Yelp application just so I could comment on how much I loved Piadina. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the cashier. She was as patient and had a pleasant expression when talking to me. I then watched a manager I assume, place a Piadina (italian flatbread) on the stove in order to melt the mozzarella. Within a few minutes it was placed on the area where the ingredients are. Not to mention there are glass windows so you see yojr sandwhich being made right before you. Despite being busy, the employee made conversation with me and asked me how my day was. I admired her ability to multi-task as she made my sandwich! I asked for extra tomatoes even though I forgot to tell the cashier, and she politely accepted my request and even made sure to ask if there were enough tomatoes. As she put my sandwich in a slip cover, then on my tray, I asked her for her name, to which she replied with "My name is Andrea!", with a polite smile. Kudos to you, Andrea, for making my delicious sandwich in a timely manner. I'd also like to comment on the teamwork I saw during my visit. I didn't fail to notice how quickly, yet effectively everyone was working, even though they had a dining are full of people and a long line. Although this was my first visit to Piadina, it'll be the first of many! Summary: Superior customer service, timely yet effective sandwich process, and delicious/fresh ingredients! This place was okay, I came in around 1 pm and i was standing at the register waiting to be helped. There was only one person visible and she kept cleaning trays but never looked up to see if someone was at the register. I had to say "hello?" to get her attention. She said "oh!" and laughed nervously so I could tell she was new. She was really slow at being Cashier which I understand since she is new but still. I ordered a California with no tomatoes and she never asked me if it was for here or to go. I believe her name is Natalie if I remember correctly, so yeah. I don't mean to call her out but I feel it is necessary. Anyway, when the other girl was making my sandwich, she had put it on a tray indicating that it was for here. I told her it was to go and she apologized and put it in a box for me and explained to me that the ticket marked the order for here. I assume it was because the cashier didn't ask me whether it was for there or to go. I just wish the cashier were more attentive to small but important details like those, which would make the experience much better. I've used this service twice now. Once for a large group of crazy women wine tasting and most recently for a more relaxed three person driver service for wine tasting. I book limo services frequently and Matty's limo service has proven to be organized, on-time and with no hidden charges. What is quoted is what is charged and they are very clear that you tip the driver separate. None of this "minimum driver tip" included in your fee and you feel obligated to pay a cash tip on top of what was added to your bill. In both my occasions it was a casual, hot day in temecula, so drivers were very casually dressed (was okay by me), however, if you want a certain dress code for your driver, I'd suggest you tell them upfront. Hate for you to expect a driver in a suit and tie who shows up in shorts. I am sure they are a good option for any occasion. I had the #10 Franchese sandwich - I think that's how you spell it - with basil pesto as suggested by the handsome tall gentleman named Karim at the cashier he was OUTSTANDING, charismatic, extremely helpful and very articulate he definitely knew what he's talking about and made me feel like I was at home. I was running late to a meeting as I am a CEO, but Andrea made my sandwich pretty quickly! She she was super helpful because I had originally asked for no arugala but she let me know that there was spinach, romaine, and kale, which I didn't know about. My girl and I just discovered this hidden gem, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! The staff is ridiculously polite (like, we-feel-guilty-for-not-tipping-enough polite), and the food? I recently stopped by for a quick bite during a shopping trip to the Tustin Marketplace and had a great experience. The cashier was friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for the most popular sandwiches, the Reggio and California. We decided to try the Reggio and Irvine. Both were flavorful with a nice spicy kick, but the Irvine stood out with its mix of textures. Don't let the thin appearance of these sandwiches fool you--they're surprisingly filling.
