I was pleasantly surprised today by the cappuccino they serve. It is simply heavenly. Tasty, soothing, and high quality. I counted my sips because I didn't want to run out. Too bad! I ran out and had to leave to get home. Inside is pleasant and nice. The star I took off is because they served one of our cappuccinos first and the rest they served about 5 minutes or more later. The person who got her coffee first had to wait for us which made me feel bad. They should serve everyone at the same table's orders almost at the same time. The menu is a bit complicated as the names of sandwiches are in Italian and large and bold, while the ingredients in English are in very small font. We ordered the seasonal Napoli sandwich and the Roma. Sandwiches were ok. The Napoli would have been better if it hadn't been overwhelmed by the burrata cheese that spilled and dozed out with every bite. It got all over me even before I bit into it. It tasted ok but the sloppiness and difficulty in eating it turned me off. One thing to note is the soda option is unusual, not your typical cola and drinks. I found Piadina next door and since then, I have been wanting to try their Italian flatbread sandwiches. It's unlike anything I've ever had before. The flatbread resembles the texture of a Chinese scallion pancake and tastes like one too, without the onion flavor. For this occasion tried the Parma and found it to be a healthy alternative to the Italian subs that I love dearly. It contained high quality ingredients that you could taste the prosciutto, mushrooms, arugula, mozzarella, and tomatoes. Their service is polite and prompt with the only downside being it's a smaller portion for a $12 item and can leave you feeling unsatisfied compared to a footlong sandwich as an example. And while understanding a footlong is catered to a different market or appetite and may not utilize the same ingredients value nowadays can hold a higher importance. But notwithstanding this establishment offers something different from the norm and makes for a nice alternative. read more

Unique style sandwiches with focaccia bread, like a folded pizza, but the bread dough is very tasty than any pizza crust or regular sandwich bread. The Tustin Marketplace store is still operating under the Piadina name but their Irvine store at Barranca/Culver was rebranded as an Italian restaurant (Sole Toscano) with pasta dishes and bakery items. There is a Piadina Sandwich section on the menu to retain the basic items from the original store. When I said that it took double the time, I was told with a sharp attitude that they were in the middle of training. Meh. I've experienced better. We came for a quick lunch during a day of car shopping. We needed a glass of wine and were happy to hear they had wine! We ordered two glasses of Chardonnay. So ... they poured us two glasses of red wine. It turns out, they don't carry any white wine at all, only red which is a little weird.
