Cheap on portions with piadizza & salad. Low class service to be all money. Employees lack to be customer friendly. Felt discriminated to come here on ordering & feels more like a modern Starbucks vibe. Stay away for sure honestly.

Great place for some good quick bites! They have Italian sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. Aesthetic & Ambiance: 7/10 it's mainly a walk up and order, but you can also see your food and ingredients further down. The décor is minimal and the vibe is more fast casual with a handful of seating inside but plenty outside. Service: 8/10 quick and friendly, and made sure I got my food outside. The Irvine Sandwich: 8/10 the soppressata has a little spicy bite, but the pesto evens it out with a great herb taste. The bread is also great, very thin, and crispy.

I was looking to buy sandwiches for a party of 3, and I initially went to Which Wich which was next door. I was overwhelmed with customizing 3 sandwiches and wanted something pre-made, so I left that store and decided to check out Piadina! I was very content with the various Italian sandwiches offered on their menu. I ordered the Parma (pictured), Reggio, and Genova. The Reggio had the most spice, but all 3 entrees were straightforward and delicious! The service was quick and the employees were all very kind. I've been coming to this place for over 5 years now and it never disappoints! I always get the California and substitute the tomatoes for sun dried tomatoes. I highly suggest you try this! I am incredibly picky when it comes to my pesto and I dream about this pesto! Everything about this sandwich is perfection. The sandwich is always done to perfection and staff is always nice. The place is always clean! I love coming here. I'm a customer for life!

Solid Italian sandwich that's a great option to stop by for a healthy and delicious lunch. Located in the Tustin side of the Marketplace there's plenty of parking. The workers were pleasant and offered suggestions for first time eaters which is always appreciated. My sandwich was great, I especially loved the bread as it was crispy and the prosciutto was great.

I love the sister eatery, Sole Toscano, by the same owner and am super happy that Piadina is closeby to my workplace and the GrubHub delivery went very smoothly. The tricolore piadizza was exactly what I wanted it to be: very light and low-calorie with ultra-premium ingredients straight from Italy. I can really taste the difference in quality in the mozzarella cheese and the pesto is very smooth and clean. The tomatoes were nice and fresh too. Piadina's menu items are so awesome because they are incredibly tasty but I can eat most of their items even as I am on a very restricted diet due to the quality and lightness. I'm planning to get Piadina once a week via GrubHub from my workplace, and every other weekday will be my restricted diet lunch. Very reliable, even for deliveries, so I'm very happy!

It was my first time at Piadina, and it was such a great experience. I asked for a recommendation for a spicy sandwich, and the woman at the front was incredibly helpful. She suggested a few options and even allowed me to customize it. The sandwich turned out to be amazing, spicy and fresh! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

I recommend the pizzas here. I also love the sandwiches that remind me of calzones. Get the pepperoni pizza at lunch time and the hard to find speciality chips. Big helpings, healthy and delicious, and good value!

Writing this nine years later, tried piadina when i was a senior in highschool and now I'm a Full fledged adult with a job haha! Wow piadina is such a gem, their sandwiches are absolutely delicious, crunchy and fresh. But to expand on my previous review, I want to talk about their sandwich specials, specifically the Piamonte sandwich. If you are hungry, ravenous for something fulfilling but light and tasty and meaty, more so than a sub sandwich, this is IT. Dunno how the staff made made such a magical combo, but I also recommended this specific sandwich to my friends and it is LIFE CHANGING: brisket, truffle aioli, onion, arugula. One note: its on their special menu you have to walk in or call to order, but it's worth it...I'm sad I finished it all before taking a picture. Really hope they have it on the menu for awhile, as I plan to come back to savor it again! Thank you Piadina!

Piadina is here to satiate your sandwich cravings with a light, pita-like flatbread filled with delicate textures and flavors ranging from chicken pesto to italian-style deli meats (salami and friends). The concept is simple, but the execution is strong. More lively than a Subway and carb-conscious friendly, Piadina provides a convenient and healthy option in the Tustin Marketplace. There is plenty of outdoor seating shared with other nearby restaurants. Parking is also easily accessible. So which sandwiches hit those tasty notes? The California Chicken, with it's delicious pesto sauce and render roasted chicken, is a standout. The Austin, with its juicy brisket, garlic aioli - and again that pesto sauce - is also delicious. The Italian flavors also have a couple of standouts like the Reggio, with its spicy mix of tatar and hot sauce combined with the umami of mushroom and prosciutto. There are also salads (effectively the sandwiches with greens instead of flatbread) and flatbread "pizzas" called Piadizzas available. These sandwiches are delicate rather than hearty. If you are hungry, you may want a couple of orders instead of one. These sandwiches are delicate - you won't find a mountain of meat inside these thin pockets of tasty bread - but that is exactly their appeal. You'll enjoy eating a sandwich or two here, guilt-free!

I think this was the reggio. Overall it's a pretty classic and simple combo of arugula prosciutto mushrooms tomatoes and mozzarella and it was really yummy! I really liked the special Piadina hot sauce too... wish it came with more on the side but it made the perfect addition to the sandwhich. The filling was really light and only wish there was more so it could be a more packed meal!

I should probably stop coming here after so many times. Ordered to go and asked for sauce on the side, when I got home, the sauce was expired. I should've checked before leaving but I trusted the place. The sauces smelled sour and had gone bad, can just imagine other items. Disappointed.

This is seriously the best sandwich thing I've ever had. It's like the best parts of a flatbread/pita/Italian/pizza sandwich, filling but with light ingredients, healthy, and SO DELICIOUS. Here it's all about the bread folks. The salads are an option and while good, you'll leave wishing you had sandwich. I promise! The wait is a bit longer then your average sandwich shop but it's worth it. There's lots of outdoor seating. The staff are great and very polite. I'll be back. read more

i've been a loyal customer of piadina for quite sometime( 2 years).The sandwiches are amazing and the previous employees ( eric and the ones before him ) were very nice and attentive.My last two visits,the employees wouldn't even acknowledge me and would finish whatever they were doing before attending to me.A simple "I'll be right with you would do" but nope.I just stand there and wait for them to finish.I never experienced this when the manager( older brother) who I tend to see present at irvine location was there. Another thing that irks me is the fact that they already have the piadina cooked and sitting there waiting to be reheated when someone comes in to order. Reheating the already made flatbread makes it lose its crunchiness and in some way,its taste.The "freshly made " flatbread is what makes me spend at piadina and if that can't be made why should I or others spend money? P.S. I noticed this problem towards night time service.Please pay attention to it .Will I still spend my money, yes.Will I ask for fresh dough as opposed to a reheated flatbread, yes. read more

The California sandwich is possibly one of the best sandwiches I've had. Their sandwiches are freshly made and seem to be healthy (not really sure how healthy) yet appetizing. Oh my god. Where has this place been all my life? In Tustin apparently. We stopped here on Easter and were so thrilled with the food and the service. I had the Roma. The bread was out of this world. A thin crispy panini bread that tastes like heaven. The veggies were also very fresh making my sandwich disappear within 2 minutes. I hope the owners are reading this because we need one of these in San Diego asap!! read more

These aren't your ordinary flatbread sandwiches. The bread is so good and the ingredients are fresh I always get California which never disappoints. Who would come here for a salad?! The sandwiches is where it's at! My husband and I just love this place! We've been multiple times for lunch and will continue to do so as long as the place is open! I go back and forth from the Genova and California and my husband's goal is to try them all. He's tried about 4 different kinds and loved them all. What makes them so delicious is their flatbread that they use. The price is reasonable and the size of the sandwich is pretty big to fill you up. No chips needed here! The only thing I'm not a fan of is their drink selection but a cup of water will do! read more

Love this place! Add the perk application on your phone and you get a free sandwich after 10 orders. Already filled it 3x!. The breakfast sandwich is legit as well. This places doesn't look like it would be good, but it really is! The sandwiches are unique, I've never had one quite like it. The Reggio is very good even though it sounds weird with tarter and tobasco. If u don't like spicy just omit the tobasco. Give this place a try! The sandwiches are on this crispy pancake thing ( like a Chinese green onion pancake minus the green onion). read more

Many centuries ago, tucked away in north central Italy, the piadina was born. An unassuming yet unique creation, local vegetables, meats and cheeses were layered onto a simple flatbread of freshly cooked dough and served from small carts in the towns. The craving for this delightful little sandwich is what spurred us to make our own, bringing together the warmth of Italy and the lighter tastes of California, with no trans fats or animal fats. Knowing that nothing beats the quality and taste of local produce, our fresh, seasonal ingredients will showcase the best of the West Coast markets. Now we'd like to share this iconic piece of Italy with California - two worlds sharing a piece of history in a simple sandwich.

History

Established in 2015.

From our roots in Perugia (in Central Italy) to our home in Southern California, Piadina embodies the best of Italian eating with a uniquely California state of mind. Our piadina journey began on a visit back home. After sampling and savoring many decadent local specialties, the true test for our enjoyment of a meal not only included how much we loved the flavor, but if we also felt good a few hours later. So when a good friend mentioned that a particular local piadina café had reinvented the classic with lighter ingredients while maintaining the rich flavor, we had to investigate. And after the first sandwich, we fell in love with it. Together with the owner of that shop, we began working to bring this "new traditional" Italian favorite to the US, complete with the secret recipes and proprietary equipment. And with the freshest local ingredients, we're adding our own signature California twist. Our team is thrilled to introduce Piadina to a whole new audience, and we hope you'll join

First off, I'd like to say I downloaded the Yelp application just so I could comment on how much I loved Piadina. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the cashier. She was as patient and had a pleasant expression when talking to me. I then watched a manager I assume, place a Piadina (italian flatbread) on the stove in order to melt the mozzarella. Within a few minutes it was placed on the area where the ingredients are. Not to mention there are glass windows so you see yojr sandwhich being made right before you. Despite being busy, the employee made conversation with me and asked me how my day was. I admired her ability to multi-task as she made my sandwich! I asked for extra tomatoes even though I forgot to tell the cashier, and she politely accepted my request and even made sure to ask if there were enough tomatoes. As she put my sandwich in a slip cover, then on my tray, I asked her for her name, to which she replied with "My name is Andrea!", with a polite smile. Kudos to you, Andrea, for making my delicious sandwich in a timely manner. I'd also like to comment on the teamwork I saw during my visit. I didn't fail to notice how quickly, yet effectively everyone was working, even though they had a dining are full of people and a long line. Although this was my first visit to Piadina, it'll be the first of many! Summary: Superior customer service, timely yet effective sandwich process, and delicious/fresh ingredients! This place was okay, I came in around 1 pm and i was standing at the register waiting to be helped. There was only one person visible and she kept cleaning trays but never looked up to see if someone was at the register. I had to say "hello?" to get her attention. She said "oh!" and laughed nervously so I could tell she was new. She was really slow at being Cashier which I understand since she is new but still. I ordered a California with no tomatoes and she never asked me if it was for here or to go. I believe her name is Natalie if I remember correctly, so yeah. I don't mean to call her out but I feel it is necessary. Anyway, when the other girl was making my sandwich, she had put it on a tray indicating that it was for here. I told her it was to go and she apologized and put it in a box for me and explained to me that the ticket marked the order for here. I assume it was because the cashier didn't ask me whether it was for there or to go. I just wish the cashier were more attentive to small but important details like those, which would make the experience much better. I've used this service twice now. Once for a large group of crazy women wine tasting and most recently for a more relaxed three person driver service for wine tasting. I book limo services frequently and Matty's limo service has proven to be organized, on-time and with no hidden charges. What is quoted is what is charged and they are very clear that you tip the driver separate. None of this "minimum driver tip" included in your fee and you feel obligated to pay a cash tip on top of what was added to your bill. In both my occasions it was a casual, hot day in temecula, so drivers were very casually dressed (was okay by me), however, if you want a certain dress code for your driver, I'd suggest you tell them upfront. Hate for you to expect a driver in a suit and tie who shows up in shorts. I am sure they are a good option for any occasion. I found out they are stationed in OC, so that's better for me, because I thought they were stationed in temecula and primarily did wine tasting. read more

I had the #10 Franchese sandwich - I think that's how you spell it - with basil pesto as suggested by the handsome tall gentleman named Karim at the cashier he was OUTSTANDING, charismatic, extremely helpful and very articulate he definitely knew what he's talking about and made me feel like I was at home. At first I wasn't up for a soda because hubby and I had some Jamba Juice but the gentleman explained how the drinks were unique and we ended up getting one, WOW they were to die for he was right!!! I was running late to a meeting as I am a CEO, but Andrea made my sandwich pretty quickly! She she was super helpful because I had originally asked for no arugala but she let me know that there was spinach, romaine, and kale, which I didn't know about. So I was glad to find out that I could switch arugala for spinach! -- As a slight recommendation, I suggest the person that takes the orders ask the customer if we would like to substitute any ingredient for another, that would be super helpful!
