The dough is exceptional and the ingredients are fresh and delicious, spread evenly between the bread, not overcrowded with meats and sauces, just the simple and healthy way that made Italian food so popular around the world. Good sandwiches! The bread is great -- kind of like a crusty pita -- and I particularly liked the use of arugula as opposed to just plain lettuce. Even though the bread is thin (like we like it!) the portions are quite large -- in fact, I ended up taking half of my sandwich home. The only complaint both my husband and I had was that our sandwiches were a tad dry and really needed some mayo, aioli or dressing -- not only to add some moisture to the sandwich but to meld the ingredients together. If there was an option to add mayo or a dressing, I missed it on the menu. My son's sandwich had pesto on it so that added a ton of flavor and it wasn't dry at all. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the sandwiches and will definitely visit again! read more

I visited Piadina for the first time this week - on 7/14 in the evening...I will never go back. So disappointing. First of all the girl taking orders was so rude - acted as if I was bothering her conversation with the other guy working there. It took about 20 minutes to make one sandwich - with only one other party of two in the place...why? because the 2 employees were too busy talking and goofing around. I ordered my sandwich to-go and when I got home I realized it was ice cold and not even near cooked - I had to bake it at home myself to try to salvage my dinner. And overall, it was mediocre at best. That's about 45 minutes of my time and $8 I'll never get back. Skip it...way better places to go in the Marketplace. Clean and elegant, good service and delicious. I'm not a huge sandwich fan, but love Italian food -- the vegetarian piadina was perfect for me, the grilled eggplant was yummy and the sandwich was light--not greasy or too heavy on cheese. I also loved their ginger beer (truly gingery--not lemony) and the nocciola gelato (hazelnut) was a perfect dessert. This was the best food I have had in a while. You could taste how fresh it was and it was very filling. They had locally made sodas which were delicious. The service was speedy and satisfying. I almost never write reviews on Yelp, but I felt like addressing this problem today. The food is really good here and I have been coming here since they opened. However I am writing a review and giving one star because they raised their prices while reducing their portions. I understand that price of ingredients go up and so restaurants must adjust their menu prices in accordance. However, while I do no have a problem with the price hike, I do have a problem with raising the price while reducing the portion of food they stuff into the sandwich. The only sandwich I order every time I go here is the "Parma". Lately (the past year), however, I have noticed that they have reduced the amount of cheese and prosciutto by 40-50%. They use to fill the entire half of the piadina with cheese and now they barely add any. As for the prosciutto, they use to add two layers of meat and have now reduced that to one layer. I am all for price changes due to the way the economy works, but don't cheat your customers by reducing amount of portion that you serve them while doing so. read more

Really fresh and light sandwiches if you want a low carb option. We got the Reggio and California. I liked the Reggio more although my husband preferred the California, so I guess both were good!
